Description of Work: They cut out part of my asphalt driveway and patched it. They filled cracks with hot tar and then resurfaced the entire driveway.

Description of Work: I just had my driveway re-surfaced yesterday by American Asphalt. There were several areas where it was cracked and they had to cut it out. They put in new asphalt there, filled a bunch of cracks with hot tar and then re-surfaced the whole thing.

+ -1 moreThe family was a real pleasure to work with. Very friendly, accommodating and worked with me on the pricing. They arrived when they said they would; worked steadily until the jobs were completed. Driveway cured for the rest of the day and I was able to drive on it the next day with no problem. The materials they used were high quality and the equipment is the same as that used by the highway departments of transportation. They rolled over the surfaces many times to ensure good contact and packing.
Description of Work: My front driveway (approx. 4,000 square feet) and my back driveway (also approx. 4,000 square feet) both needed to be resurfaced/retarred (front ) and restoned/rolled (back). This is a family-owned business of fathers and cousins. They had put in my front driveway ten years ago ($9,000 when oil-based materials were cheaper). This is the first time I have had it resurfaced. They began and completed the resurfacing/retarring on 2/27 and began and completed the restoning (2" thick) and rolling on 2/28. They will return in three months to put down another layer of oil base on the front drive to seal it completely.
