Ryan was very flexible and worked with me to see if my "wants" were feasible. He gave me a schedule and stuck to it. His workers were all very professional and kept the construction area clean during the entire construction period.

I didn’t have any work done. The quote, I don’t remember off the top of my head, I want to say it probably came in around $20,000 - $25,000. I would give them an “A”, because at least they were responsive enough to come out, do the estimate and to get back to me with the quote. All they did was come out and give me a quote, but at least they were responsive on that. If I had the work, I would certainly give them the opportunity to bid on it.

If you are looking to have some work done around your house, look no farther than Resurrection Builders! This is the first time we've had work done at the house and had heard horror stories from other people about their remodeling experiences. I will say that from our initial meeting with Ryan, we were sold 100%. Based on our research, and initial exchange with Resurrection Builders, we knew there was no need for a second bid from another contractor. Right from the beginning, Ryan took his time explaining our options and was very knowledgeable. He was responsive to my texts and was patient when we would add work to the contract. I can't say enough about his team of guys, they are polite gentlemen and would always leave a clean work site at the end of the day. Being a Christian, I was impressed that his team never cursed or used foul language. We were super pleased with their work and their work ethic and would HIGHLY recommend Resurrection Builders!!

I would highly recommend Ryan and his guys. They did a fantastic job and were always pleasant no matter the weather or circumstances. I even called the night before the work was to start with a idea to change things completely and Ryan remained completely calm and professional. Ryan owns this company but also does the work. He knows his stuff and does a great job. He is always available during the work to take calls with questions or info.

From the time we met for the estimate to the very end, these guys were very professional. Showed up when told and completed the work within a reasonable time. Also, the work completed was done to exceed our expectations. They really put some touches on it that I would not have thought of. Awesome work and will definitely use and recommend them.

95% of everything went very well. Work began on October 13, 2015 and the final day was December 4, 2015. We had wanted the project completed by Thanksgiving but due to an issue concerning the pitch of the porch roof we had a one week stoppage to iron out the problem (there was a measurement discrepancy in the plans). We got it figured out and work commenced once again. What we asked for with this porch would've been a challenge to most builders but Resurrection Builders handled it like the true professionals that they are (hip-style roof with 3 skylights, wood burning fireplace situated at a 45 degree angle at one of the porch corners). 97% of the project was completed by Thanksgiving and we were thoroughly okay with it getting finished the week after. Everything turned out better than we hoped for. Ryan's crew did outstanding work and the sub-contractors performed quite well too. We highly recommend Resurrection Builders (Ryan Sullivan & team)!

They showed up ahead of when they originally told me they would be able to start, which was great. They then completed the deck way faster than I had anticipated. It was a wonderful experience working with Ryan and his team. They are great people.

Everything went very smoothly. As stated above Ryan and his crew were very responsive. They were on time and ensured things were cleaned up when they left every day. The deck is beautiful and above expectations.

This was my first time using Angie?s List and it was a very good experience once we settled on a contractor. We wanted to add an addition on to our home that was going to be used as a sunroom/entertaining area. The plan was for a 24ft x 14ft room with many windows and skylights. There were a couple of contractors from Angie?s List that I called that never responded. Ryan Sullivan, Resurrection Builders, did respond right away and gave us an estimate. We did have three other estimates from Angie?s List of contractors that did respond. Right from the start it was clear Ryan would negotiate with us. One contractor did not put flooring (ceramic tile) in his estimate and said it would be several thousands dollars extra. Ryan and this particular contractor had somewhat close estimates. Initially, Ryan did not have flooring in his estimate either. But when I asked if we decided on using him would he throw the flooring in with his original estimate he did. That was what made my decision to go with Resurrection Builders. It took 2 months to complete the addition. All of Ryan?s crew and subcontractors were very good at what they did. From the foundation, framing, electrical, tiling and painting everything turned out great. From the start, Ryan was excellent in keeping communications open with me as to what was happening day to day and sometimes hour to hour. He and is crew were always on time each day and I never had to wonder what was happening next. We had a water issue arise inside our home that caused ceiling and drywall damage while the addition was being completed. Even though it was not part of his scope of work, Ryan had one of his crew repair it for us. He told me he would not "leave me hanging" if they could repair it they would. I thought that was very generous of him to help us with this problem. As I write this review I am sitting in my wonderful sunroom and enjoying it a lot! I would highly recommend Resurrection Builders for the quality of workmanship and the professionalism in dealing with us on all aspects of the job.

They were very professional in all dealings and skills. They kept the area clean each day. The finished product is excellent and we would definitely use them again.

Installed an awning purchased through Lowes for $300 and also for my neighbor, who I referred him to, and he sold them a Sunsetter awning and installed as well. The first awning from Lowes ended up being defective and had to be returned two weeks later after being installed by RBI. Hired them to come back, take it down to replace the defective awning with the replacement - paid them another $300 + $60 for materials due to a different type of bracketing system for an upgraded version of the awning. Actually RBI did a nice job of installing on both installations. However during the second installation it was determined that on the end caps was damaged in shipment as was a piece of plastic protective trim. Also, awning manufacturer failed to send to proper instructions for manual retracting device, so it was agreed that Ryan would return upon receipt of those items from the manufacturer to install these parts. After receiving word from Lowes that the damaged awning replacement parts were on the way Ryan at RBI was notified; about a day or two after texting him I got back a text that he was out of town and he would TRY to contact me the following week to schedule a time to come by. The following week came and went with no contact so I emailed again and a couple of days later he wrote back he was extremely busy and would get to me when he could. That was about two weeks ago. A few days ago I again emailed RBI, twice last week, to see if we could at least get on their schedule - ZERO RESPONSE TO BOTH EMAILS AND A TEXT - so while he did a good job and the awning being defective is not his issue, he was paid for his time at his standard rates both times and this return visit was also to be billed at his standard rate, of which Lowes is partially reimbursing me - however best I can tell is RBI is either not interested in coming back for a small job (estimate would be a couple of hours for these fixes) at a time and date of his choosing OR perhaps he just has poor communications skills - not sure which but when a contractor fails to at least make an effort to get me on his schedule after nearly a month of back and forth (and ultimately ignoring us) then it's time to move on. While Ryan and RBI does competent work, it's negated by ignoring a past customer and not returning their calls or messages after PROMISING to do so. RBI seems to be interested in only larger jobs, in the moment, and not referrals or future jobs - VERY SHORT SIGHTED because big jobs often come from little jobs and referrals. We like Ryan, he is very friendly and pleasant but I don't think he understands "relationships" and business building. We had hoped to use them to finish our basement and add a screened in porch. Not now. We even posted him on our community network as a recommended contractor however I decided to remove him due to his poor communications skills, something I cannot tolerate.

I hired Resurrection Builders based on reviews from Angie's List and I was not disappointed. They tore down an existing deck that was ready to collapse and gave me a beautiful screened-in porch which was even better than what I initially wanted. The TREK decking costs a little more but is definitely worth it since it is low maintenance. If you're looking for a contractor, this is the only phone call you need to make ... don't bother with the rest because this company is top-notch all the way! Ryan drew up plans for my HOA approval and handled all the permit work. He is very knowledgeable about what he is doing, has great communication skills and kept me in the loop during the whole project, and goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. The guys on his team are very hard-workers and were pleasant and polite. I can't say enough about this company. They have INTEGRITY. I recommend them very highly. I would have given them A+'s if I could ... they were THAT good!

Ryan and his group were the best. The bathrooms are Beautiful. All the guys were Gentleman, respected my Home. They did the job just like it was quoted. The Job was completed in the time quoted. No surprise costs at the end. We will be having them come back and do more work for us here at the house.

I had a superb experience with Resurrection. I can't imagine how the process could be any smoother or more hassle-free. I was told up-front that they were a turn-key outfit but expected the process to be at least a little disruptive. But I was wrong. Ryan and his team were extremely efficient and managed the process without a hitch. Completely seamless. My deck was just finished today and looks great. Every aspect of the project was completed to exact specification. No surprises, cutting corners, or trying to change the game plan during execution. The crew who did the work were very professional, courteous, and accommodating, ensuring no interruption to our daily activities. Resurrection will be my first choice for home projects going forward and I will recommend to all those I know who are looking for a professional, responsive, and high quality contractor.

Resurrection Builders designed the screen porch to incorporate our design ideas. The room was constructed to match the existing house materials. The work was completed in less than 3 weeks of time. The frame and floor are pressure treated pine. The roof structure is of pine and roofing shingles. The screen is the Screen Tight system. The trim material are vinyl, metal and PVC. The work is first quality. The crew were professional. The price was excellent.

The work was timely done. The qulity and professionalism of the crew was top notch. The price was excellent. The porch was designed by Resurrection Builders to include our design ideas and it exceeded all county building codes. The screen porch materials included pressure treated frame and floor, hardwood ceiling and roof shingles. The screen was the Screen Tight system and the exterior trims were metal, vinyl and PVC.

Although it was in the winter, he was able to do all of the work! He cleaned up the area daily and informed me as to what he was going to do on a given day. The deck has now been up for 3 yrs and it looks great. I am very glad that the work was done and would recommend him without any reservations.

Resurrection Builders did an outstanding job. Their price was in the comparable-to-competitive range. Their service was top-notch. They have by far surpassed all other contractors I have worked with for punctuality, communication, and quality of work. Ryan, the owner, would personally oversee most of the progress on the job and would communicate with us every step of the way. He was courteous, efficient, and thorough. The whole process was incredibly smooth. The finished product is fantastic. We LOVE our new porch and deck. A truly professional company. My advice to you is hire them! You will not be sorry. We will have them back and we've told several friends and neighbors about them.

The project went very well. Ryan showed up on schedule and the project was wrapped up by the afternoon. The quality of the materials and the work was great. I could not be more pleased with the new railing. I would definitely recommend Resurrection Builders if you need deck or other construction work done in the Fredericksburg Virginia area. Resurrection Builders is not the least or most expensive choice in the area, but they do quality work. It is a small company that does not use subcontractors so they can be flexible to meet your project needs for a small project like my porch railings or a huge deck you want to build. One of their advantages of Resurrection Builders is that they will take on small jobs like mine if you are willing to work with them on the schedule for the project to fit it in. Earlier in the year I had another local builder with great ratings on Angie's List build a covered deck and patio for me. They did a great job too, but they were not very interested in my small porch railing project so I went with Resurrection Builders instead. I am very pleased with the result and will likely use Resurrection Builders for any future projects instead of the other company even though the other company did great work too.

Overall the experience was good, Ryan was great. He understood our needs and even dealt with my mom going back and forth on making decisions. I have two small children so we wanted something that they would not get hurt on. We opted for a trex screened porch and deck with pvc railings. Towards the end there were some little things that needed to be done, that we felt he kind of nickled and dimed us on, but all and all it was a good experience.

This experience was similar to our previous experience; EXCELLENT. We will definitely use REsurrection Builders again in the future for any repair or improvements to our home.

Ryan was quick to respond to our request for a bid and worked to give us exactly what we wanted. His permanent help were polite and punctual & Ryan kept us up to date daily on progress. There were 3 building inspections and even they were scheduled promptly. I was very impressed with his attention to detail & desire to make everything as precise as possible. He had a challenge with a steep topography for setting the framework and for access stairs also on a steep slope. This 16' X 24' deck was about12' off the ground and it came out perfect. We also had him install an awning which was also expertly installed. One of the most important qualities I want in companies that provide a service is honesty & integrity, Ryan gets top marks in both.

The quality of the work was very good. They were very polite and professional. Performed the job efficiently.
