NorthStar Roofing & Siding

A detailed contract was with 1/2 of the paid the day of contract signing. That was in July. It is now the end if October. One small corner section of the roof has been removed with trash bag put over it. The overhang is laying in the back yard In 3 pieces taking in two major rain storms and this was three weeks ago with a promise they would start the following Monday. Never called us with any updates. When I contacted Robert it started with to hot to be on roof, then the storms put him behind, then his mother got sick, then his crew tested positive for COVID-19. Now he is just not answering. Still waiting for a resolution!!

I took the day off for our 9am appointment. No one showed up, so I called for 5 times and finally somebody picked up and rescheduled for 11am. They still didn’t show up. No calls, no communication at all. A complete waste of time.

Rob performed a complete roof inspection and discussed his recommendations for replacing the roof. He explained the causes of each of my problems. When he submitted his proposal, it was very detailed outlining exactly what he proposed to do and identifying the materials he intended to use. While his estimate was not the lowest I received, when I went back to the lower priced contractors to determine what they were or were not providing, it became obvious that North Star Roofing and Siding was providing a quality product at a very resonable price. North Star did an outstanding job. The crew Rob used on my project was very professional. they arrived on time every day, they protected my pool, patio, shrubs and A/C units with tarps. Each day they cleaned up their debris, removed it from my property and ran a magnet over the yard to collect any nails that may have fallen to the ground. North Star is licensed and insured even though the description in Angie's List does not say that. Their work was ouotstanding and greatly imp[roved the appearance of my house. As they also do siding work, I have already asksed Rob to provide an estimate to replace my siding next summer when I return. I would highly recommend using North Star Roofing and Siding foir any roofing project.

North Star did a great job for us. We had a valley that was leaking. We had other roofers look at the old roof and they all said the leak was from a skylight. North Star spotted the problem was the valley and not the sky light and gave us an estimate for a repair or a complete replacement of the roof. We decided to re-roof the house as the old roof was not wearing well. North Star and their crew showed up on time each day, worked very hard, respected our parking and neighbors, and did a super job on the roof. In addition, we hired North Star to repair the sheet rock and other damage from the leaking valley in our master bedroom. They did an excellent job on the work and on not allowing the dust to spread throughout the house. Of course, the proof of a roof is whether it holds up well and does not leak over time but I think it will hold up well and no leaks so far. In addition, their price was better than other roofers in the area and they were able to go to work immediately. Good military discount as well.
