Description of Work: Repaired a rotting front door frame. Handyman removed the damaged wood and replaced with new wood and aluminum cover to help prevent recurrence in the future. Workmanship was excellent and we're extremely happy with the repairs. We had previously been told we would likely have to replace the entire door and frame.

Description of Work: They repaired the damage to the drywall as a result of wallpaper removal in upstairs bedroom. Also sanded the drywall repairs to ready for painting. They also made sure that all surfaces were well protected against dust.

Description of Work: Repaired damaged ceiling in garage. A drywall panel fell from our garage ceiling and another half panel was hanging loosely. Mr. Handyman installed a new full panel, secured the half panel and finished by taping and mudding the panels. The installers were extremely polite and professional and completed the work in a timely fashion.

It's unfortunate that this member didn't provide details regarding why he wasn't satisfied in rating our service only a C. I do know that our technician went over the original estimated hours for the job. While replacing a 16x16 ceramic tile on the bathroom floor, we discovered significant wood rot that was causing that tile and adjoining tiles to be loose. We informed the member upon the discovery that to be done properly, the repair would take significantly longer. He was in agreement at the time and I even deducted two hours labor charges from the final invoice as a goodwill gesture. I'm sorry that we didn't satisfy this customer but I am confident that the work was performed correctly and that the problem will not return. Sincerely, Al Starck, President

Description of Work: They reattached siding high on the backside of the house which I could not reach. In addition, in order to use up the required 2 hours the technician cleaned out all my gutters, and did some minor tree trimming near the house. |The experience went very well. The technician was knowledgable, friendly and professional. The person in the office with whom I spoke to was also professional. My only minor comment is that the service is a bit pricy but not so much that it bothered me. I would use again

Description of Work: I called them on Sept 5th and left a voicemail message. The office staff called me on Monday, 8th and reluctantly scheduled (because of the type of flooring I had already purchased) my free consult for Friday, Sept 12th. On Thursday afternoon I received a voicemail message that they could not do the job because the person that did their flooring quit.

The member is correct that we "reluctantly" agreed to take a look at her flooring job, with the understanding that it might have taken a skill set that we may not have possessed. When the one technician we had that did possess some flooring experience resigned, we cancelled the estimate with ample notice, explaining the situation, and believing that she understood. I'm puzzled by her posting here and her F rating. We only accept jobs that are within our skill set and where we firmly believe we can delivered exceptional results. Since no one person can be expert at all aspects of home repair and remodeling, our skill set and capacity to perform varies with our staffing over time. Description of Work: Contractor looked at issue with exterior door. Stated that Fredericksburg office would send a quote. Never received a quote. But I did receive a voice mail from Fredericksburg office saying that I need to schedule ASAP. I dropped this contractor as fast as possible!

We were asked to provide an estimate to repair some wood rot at a "deck/door" on June 3rd. We called the member back on June 6th and left a verbal time and materials estimate on his voice mail. Included in that message was advice that if he wanted to get the work scheduled within the next few weeks, he should "call the office as soon as possible because our schedule was filling up fast," this being our most busy time of the year. We never heard from the member again and, being our busy time, we hadn't had a chance to follow up with him. We never hard-sell nor do we push customers to use our services. We typically provide our best estimate for the work and allow customers all the time they need to decide, assuming customers have plenty of other options to get work done.
