Description of Work: I called for an estimate for a side door installation. Was told that they didn't install the brand of door I had purchased from Home Depot because they considered Home Depot's doors poor quality. I don't door installs for a living, so I can't argue with their reasoning. At least they were honest in their opinion and and have a standard they abide by instead of just saying "Sure, we'll install anything despite our opinion of its quality."

We try to steer customers away from products we know to be inferior to other choices available. Sometimes we do this for "selfish" reasons... even a good installation of a poor product can come back on my technicians as the cause of problem. I appreciate the member's overall rating of B. Regarding the price rating, we typically quote a two-hour time frame for cleaning gutters, but this can vary widely. It depends on the height of the home, how many separate gutter segments there are (one long run versus many smaller, choppy sections requiring many more ladder movements and positioning), the slope of the ground, landscape obstructions, etc. We take care to bag the gutter debris as we proceed, as opposed to just throwing it on the ground, or even leaving it on the deck to stain the finish. We also check the gutter hangers and adjust/repair as needed. So what might seem like a simple job can become quite time-consuming if the conditions are difficult and numerous repairs are needed. Fantastic Work!!
Description of Work: Mr Handyman made life so much easier for us. We needed someone to come over and build a handy cap ramp in the garage for my grandmas wheel chair and install some grab bars in the bathroom. William was very friendly and professional and ensured the job was perfect. The job took only 2 days to complete and the ramp looks great!! Well done William and Mr Handyman!!

Description of Work: I wanted to be a repeat customer, as I was very happy with the first time I used Mr. Handyman when in need of a plumber. However, upon calling today for a plumber, I was told it would be 1 1/2 weeks before he could come out. That is unacceptable when one's toilet does not work. I am disappointed that Mr. Handyman only has one plumber that could be called upon to help. I will hesitate before calling again.

The work we did for this customer in May was such that we believed it required a licensed plumber, which I do not have on my staff. I subcontracted the work to a licensed plumber. When the customer called last week, the work was to snake out a stopped up toilet. None of my technicians have the proper equipment to do this work effectively or safely, without risk of damaging the customer’s property. We informed the customer of the fact that this work is not in our list of standard things we do, but we would check with our plumber to see if he could get to it the same day. He was not available and we apologized to the customer, recommending that he call another source for this emergency. I’m sorry that we were not able to help this customer with this work, but there are things we cannot or will not do. We cannot be all things to all people. Most companies have policies and work standards, and in my opinion, our inability to perform certain tasks should not used as fair or valid criticism of our service. Sincerely, Al Starck, President

Everything went extremely well.
Description of Work: We needed an outside faucet installed where there had never been one before. The job required drilling through the outside brick wall into the laundry room, then dropping a flexible pipe down through the ceiling of our basement water heater closet. Larry was on time, extremely professional, worked quickly, and ended up charging significantly less than the over-the-phone estimate. He also addressed a couple of other plumbing concerns we had while he was here. We would definitely use this company again.
