I worked with Bo Stanley. I was happy with the roofing and they said that they had to replace 5 plywood panels. I thought that they would of shown me the rotted panels, but they didn't. All I had was their word of mouth, but they only told me after the fact. Even Bo said that they usually don't do that. It wasn't a big deal, but I would of liked to see at least a picture. I just thought it was a little loose with the standard of the industry. The gutter people left a bit of a mess and had to come back. They didn't completely install the gutters right the first time. It wasn't that big of a deal, but it should of been done right the first time.
Description of Work: I had my roof and gutters replaced.
I did a review of this company and mentioned all the issues I had. I did want to put in a plug for the tile work that was done, and the wood installation , floors and bookcase. The windows went in great and most of the electrical went just as requested.
Description of Work: Tile, flooring electrical.

nWe were persuaded to use Heritage by a last minute adjustment to their bid and the assurance that the work would be completed in 4 weeks because a job had been postponed and they wanted to keep their crew working. We were skeptical based on the scope of work, but as we had to be out of the house and living in a hotel we figured that even if it took that long to finish the portion of work in the downstairs so that we could move back into the house we were fine with that. We were in the hotel for 11 weeks. There was never an explanation or notification of progress. Emails were answered with one line responses and usually only addressed one of several questions. While some of the work, especially the tile work is very nice, some of it is sloppy. We lost count of the nail holes we had to fill in order to paint anything or the amount of caulk we bought to address gaps between windows, door frames, molding etc. No care was taken to avoid damage to personal possessions. Since we were told we could leave things in the basement if we pushed them to one side, we did that. We also mentioned that if it turned out that anything needed to be moved we would be happy to do so if notified. We were never notified, but came to the house to find possessions piled in one room, looking as if they had been tossed there to land as they fell, this included paintings and beds and light fixtures. Nothing was covered and there was drywall mud all over things. Several things were damaged beyond repair. Due to the length of time there was no AC in the house, nine weeks, there is mold damage we are still assessing. Had we been informed at any time that there was a change and we would have no air we could have made decisions based on that information. The floor was not protected and had plumbers seal, purple drips and runs everywhere. When we commented on the state of an area were told was ready for us to move into, there was some clean up done, however the floor was scraped and is now damaged beyond repair and will have to be replaced. The painters seal was addressed in the bathroom by primer being applied, the stain has come back through. The kitchen cabinets were hung in such a way that the doors could not be opened with the recessed light covers on, so they took the covers off and left them off. When we mentioned the issue and suggested it would be easier and less unsightly to move the cabinets down an inch rather than move the lighting and have to patch the ceiling we were told it would only be done for an extra charge. We attribute many of the issues to over-extension of their work force, an assessment corroborated by several of the more competent workers. But also the complete and total lack of communication. The overall experience has been nightmarish. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

The workers were very careful about trying to make sure the weather was right for painting so delayed a few days. They tried hard to match colors and use good products. Both workers were friendly and courteous.
Description of Work: Stain deck, paint garage doors and front columns of house, secure loose window shutters.
