Description of Work: The actual work was done well; however, the wrong replacement windshield was sent, twice, thus delaying the completion of the work by more than a week.

Description of Work: Replaced my cracked windshield while I was at work. They can repair smaller holes or cracks but mine was too large and needed replacement. The cost reflects the deductible with my auto insurance. My insurer scheduled the appointment and the installer called me when he was on his way. I met him in our gated parking garage where he replaced the windshield while I returned to work. A little bit of paperwork including payment of my deductible by credit card and advice on avoiding high power car washes for a couple of days, and it was done. He was prompt and courteous and I didn't have to return to my car until I was done working for the day. All my decals were moved onto the new windshield. A very well-run service.

This is the second time I've used Glass America to perform a windshield replacement. Both times I had a significant crack right in front of the driver's field of view while driving on I-95. Both times a car ahead of me kicked up a rock which landed right on my windshield. Because this falls under comprehensive coverage of my auto insurance, it was covered 100%. I didn't even see the amount charged. (They bill my insurance directly.) The installer arrived right on time. He indicated it would take about 45 minutes, and he finished within 45 minutes. The work was done right in my driveway, so it was very convenient. They even sent out an email on the morning of the appointment to give me a better time window. (The initial time window was 10AM-4PM.) The installer cleaned up all the work very nicely. The state inspection sticker was moved cleanly. When it was done, I couldn't even tell the windshield wasn't the original. Very nice work. I've had bad experiences with other windshield installers (leaks when it rains, surrounding trim not glued properly, etc.), so it was great to find a reliable auto glass company. I would definitely use them again (since I already have) and I would recommend them to others. I originally found them through the local VW dealership, who uses them for their windshield work.
