A simple homeowner fix of an outlet missing aground connection morphed into a problem that had apparently existed in my house for 25 years. They showed up the same day and quickly diagnosed/fixed the problem with an unconnected neutral far removed from the initial repair area.

Everything went very well. They had to rent a ladder to reach the ceiling in my living room. They switched out an old flush mounted light with a new chandelier. Very friendly and were done within the hour that they said it would take! Awesome job!

Experience was good. Husband and wife team working together are quick to respond to calls and personable. Electrician obtained permit the day after he came out for the first time to look at job. Because of inspections required, they came out three times to get the job done. I am very happy with the work done and would certainly call them again.

I purchased my home 5 months ago. I was digging in the yard and cut the electric cable to my well. I was without water Sat and Sun. (I thought he would charge double on the weekend). First thing Monday morning I called in a panic. Steve Gray called back within a short time. He put me on the schedule and came out that afternoon. He and his wife were so nice. I was so grateful, I offered them $150 when I wrote the check but he refused it. He only charged $95! They've got all my future business and I've told all my friends and neighbors.

Prompt and courteous. Had to come back several times - due to the manufacturer of the power transfer switch. Always kept us up-to-date on progress. Will use these folks again - very nice and got the job done when nobody else wanted to tackle it!

Steve and Julie are the total package. Not only do you get the expertise of the electrician but you also get a very professional contact person with Julie who returns calls almost immediately, sets up and keeps appointments, checks to see if everything is going the way you want it and makes sure that you as the homeowner are not only satisfied but happy to have met them. Even though it was hot in the attic and they had a lot of tools to carry up and down they said that they were certainly used to working up there. Long story short... stop looking for an electrician... you found a good one.

Contacted Cody Mallone in the morning and they promised a visit in mid afternoon. They arrived within the expected time, diagnosed the problem and installed a replacement part, the photo cell. Service like this is what we all hope for.

Steve and Julie arrived on time and were ready to go to work. It was awesome how they listend to what work we wanted done and our concerns. They were very protective of our house and furnishings and it was as if they were in their own house. Every item was installed letter perfect and we were/are thrilled with how everything worked out. I contacted 5 or 6 Electricians from Angie's List on a Friday night via the contact function on the website. Steve and his wife were the first ones to respond, and did so within 8 hours. Out of the other electrician's that I reached out to, only two called me back: One to say that they didn't do the work I wanted, and the other left a message for me to call them back. Since the Cody Malone contacted me first, I went with them. The appointment was scheduled for the following Friday. Steve and his wife showed up on time and completed the work in about 4 hours. They drilled the required holes in the ceiling with a kit that collected all the dust. This was important to me because I have a bunch of computer and audio equipment in my office and I didn't want to have dust every where. They were conscientious, very careful, and deliberate with all the work. They left no remnants of wires, cables, or any other debris and even offered to vacuum my office for me. I wasn't sure what to expect as this was the first time I had used Angie's List, but I will tell you that the experience was great. I will be using Steve and his wife for all the rest of my electrical work, and I would honestly recommend them to my neighbors without hesitation. If you live in Stafford County or nearby Fredericksburg or Prince William Counties, and need electrical work done, consider Cody Malone Services. Steve is a 14 year, experienced MASTER Electrician and his attention to detail was apparent as I watched him work.

Made the appointment at 9 the previous night. They arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem as an open neutral, isolated the faulty outlet, rewired the outlet, and resolved the fault. Outstanding service, I found an electrician for all of my needs and will be using them again soon.

Responded to my first phone call quickly and continued to phone and email with any updates and reminders throughout the process. Provided me with a detailed estimate via email as well as a receipt after project was complete. One of the things I liked as that they gave me a complete estimate on all the work I wanted done but were willing to do each section at separate dates to work with my schedule and budget. Showed up right on time which is much appreciated!

They are really good on the customer service and the overall work was outstanding. We are really happy with their professionalism.

Noticed last summer electric bill spike a lot. in August compared to previous year. Called Dominion out, felt like before I spent money to look at anything they should check the meeter. Dominion told me I had a line "bleeding" electricity somewhere. So I called up These two, who were great. They came that evening husband/wife team. Took some time to check over a lot of different possibilities before narrowing it down to the likelihood one of my AC Units was burning more power than it should. Since I had a service agreement, they came out, sure enough, refrigerant was empty. Steve checked a lot of stuff just to make sure, even looked over some wiring in my basement to make sure it was to code since previous owner never got a permit. Very happy, and likely to use them to install recessed lighting in my kitchen.

They were wonderful. The experience was perfect. It was good service. They were very professional and they knew what they were doing.

Steve and Julie did a wonderful job in helping me with the installation of a new whole house generator. They were on time, very courteous, and a pleasure to work with. They are very responsive by email and phone and go out of there way to accommodate dates and times for appointments. They spent time showing me how to use the equipment. They would not accept payment until the job was inspected by the county and passed. I will hire them again for future electrical projects.

They were prompt in responding to to my initial call, gave me their estimate (included a home visit) quickly and completed the work to my satisfaction. They did a top quality job! They were also very courteous, pleasant and receptive to my questions about how they would complete the job. They did everything in about 4 hours. Oh, and they cleaned up after themselves! I highly recommend them and will be sure to use them again and recommend them to my neighbors!!!!!!

Bought a foreclosure which had a previous owner who obviously did some jerry rigged DIY electrical work. My living room, garage door/lights and outside lights went out. Circuit breaker didn't trip, so it wasn't the typical overloaded circuit . Long story, short: after me and neighbor searched for hours for the problem, finally called Cody Malone Services. Steve and Julie came out the same afternoon. He troubleshot the problem and fixed it in under an hour. Impressed with his professionalism, I decided to ask him to do a few more jobs that I had on my "to do" list. I will definitely call these guys again if I have problems with anything else in the future.
