My sales rep for Apple Doors, Anne Barnes, responded immediately to my request on Angie’s List. She was flexible with the date/time of our meeting to aid to my busy schedule. Anne described the different garage door options in great detail clearly explained to be how this process worked and what to expect in the upcoming weeks. My only discrepancy was that the original scheduled date to install my new garage door was not met due to an inventory issue and I was not notified until the day of the original installation. This part did not involve my sales rep. Once a new date was determined, the installer came out and installed my new garage door and walked me through how to use and maintain the garage door.

Service was quick. They performed some other routine maintenance bundled with an Angies list coupon.

The installer was prompt and friendly. He installed the new spring then lubricated the joints and rollers on both doors. He also move our garage door sensor to a safer height at no additional cost. This is the second time we've used them (previous house) and we would reccomend them for any job.

We recently had to replace our broken garage doors. Apple door offered a great product at a reasonable price and was able to remove the old doors and replace them in one day. The openers are also the quietest we’ve ever owned. We highly recommend this company and would use them again.

The chain was loose on our Genie garage door opener. When I attempted to tighten up the chain and test my adjustment, the sprocket on the door opener broke and landed on the garage floor. I contacted Apple Door because I had seen the advertising on their trucks in the area, and because they had received a high rating on Angie's List. I initially thought the sprocket broke because I didn't have the chain in the right position after tightening it up, but the lady at Apple Door made me feel better by explaining that the chain was probably loose due to the sprocket being in the process of coming apart, and I just finished it off by tightening the chain. She asked me for the size of our door, and recommended a DC-powered, belt-driven model that was quiet. She gave me the price of the opener with installation, which was just under $400. I didn't actually do any research to see how that might have compared to other options, but it didn't seem unreasonable. We made an appointment for the installer to come early the next week after noon. The time was set to be around noon. The installer actually arrived around 2:30 or so. A little later than expected, but still the same day as expected. He was able to complete the installation in about 1 1/2 hours or less. We were happy with the job he did and with the door opener that indeed turned out to be much quieter than our older model. I would recommend Apple Door to anybody in the area who needs a new garage door opener.

They segwayed my job to Washington, they do not service my area. It was reasonable, good. It took about 3 hours. Vacuumed, cleaned it up everything.

Service Technician Derek was on time and explained in detail what service was being provided that day. During the service, I explained that one garage door was having problems with consistently lifting up and down. The garage door units are 12 years old. During his inspection, he identified the problem as the gear was worn (metal shavings inside the box) and needed replaced. He quoted me a price which I agreed to, and he proceeded to replace the gear kit. He worked on the adjustment of the doors, and made sure everything was working properly. He explained how to keep the slides clean and lubricated, and gave me a can of lubricant spray to use twice a year. During the entire service, he explained what he was doing as part of the service, and was very professional throughout the process. Very personable and professional staff from the moment I entered their shop. I told them I was having two separate 8x7 garage doors removed and needed a single 18x8 door to replace them. The staff then proceeded to show me various styles and builds of garage doors and openers. The selection and quality was top notch and comparable to the other dealers I had visited for estimates. Once the style of door, insulation value, and finishing details were decided upon I was written a total cost estimate on the spot, not only for the door and opener but installation as well. I made it clear that this was a new install, and that my contractor would have to schedule dates around the arrival of the door and the hole to place it in. I was assured that this would not be an issue. After deciding this was the company I was going to purchase my door from, my contractor contacted them and scheduled a date for the install. The installers arrived on time and conducted there work in supreme fashion. The attention to detail was a relief and made me quite happy. They even took into consideration the proper alignment and straight lines of the wiring required between the opener and the inside door remote. They assisted in synchronizing the external keypad and two car remotes as well. All items work flawlessly and the belt driven opener is whisper quite.

Appointment made with Jim for an estimate. Jim was very helpful and provided details on what I currently had and helped me when selecting replacements. I did receive other quotes and in order to keep it fair I asked Jim to make adjustments to the original quote. There pricing beat out other competitors in the area. Apple Door systems Rvalue for the replacement door was better. Jim also answered my questions regarding chain vs belt door openers which was very helpful. Their installer Miles arrived on time and did a phenomenal job. The door looks great, works great and no more cool air coming in the house through the garage.

I emailed the vendor over the weekend and they promptly replied on Monday morning by 8:00 am. I asked for an estimate and availability in my email and received the same by email that morning with a number to call. During the morning phone call the vendor provided the estimate and approximate time that afternoon. I was called 15 minutes before they arrived and Jim Kelly showed up as promised at 1:30 pm. The work was completed by 2:30 pm. All of my questions were answered during the installation and I was given advice on how to maintain the door into the future. The operation of the door was checked before Mr. Kelly departed. I would call this company again in a heart beat to have additional work done.

Apple doors was prompt to arrive at my home and discussed my thoughts and concerns to how I wanted to doors to track within the garage and the type of doors. This project is not a small one, it was for four 10 wide, 9 tall insulated doors with high lift rails and four jack shaft motors. One door needed to follow the pitch of the scissor truss with a 7/12 pitch. This was not an issue for Apple Doors and they provided a very prompt reply with the estimate. The price was great and they also offered a Military Discount. What a great company that thinks of their service members! Doors were ordered and came in on-time! Ann from Apple Doors called to schedule the install the doors and they arrived on-time and well prepared. Two installers and 5 hours later the doors were installed. Rails and doors was installed as I pictured it would be. The job was clean and professional. The following day, the door motors were to be installed. I did get a can from Ann with an emergency to another customer and she was very apologetic and sincere. She scheduled for the remainder of the install the following week and block two days to make sure everything was right. The installers arrived and completed the install and all is perfect. I would recommend Apple Doors to anyone and I would use them again.

Repairman arrived punctually and performed service efficiently and professionally. Gear mechanism of garage door opener needed replacement. The workman coordinated service information with my home warranty company and took the time to lubricate the garage door mechanism and program both my cars. I was quite satisfied with Apple and would recommend the company-- and I value that they are local and accessible in Williamsburg.

Great service- Apple came out to look at my door after my tenants called saying the spring assembly had came off the door frame, which also damaged the door opener track. Another company came the prior day (Garage Door Services of VA (GDS)) and charged me $85 to say that they couldn't fix the door and that I would need a carpenter to repair the wood, but left a quote. So I called another company, Apple Door, and they were very friendly and answered all my questions. Luckily, Apple door came out and not only repaired the wood, but put in a new garage door opener at less than 1/3 of the price quoted by GDS. Apple repaired the door good as new and repaired only what needed repairing instead of charging me excessively. Give this local company a chance and you will not be disappointed. I would definitely use them again and trust them as being an honest company.

After the initial call to the office, I received a call from the technician. He gave me his cell phone number and we made several calls back and forth before making definite plans. He came out early in the morning, before I left for work. He went to work right away and had the spring install in 15 minutes.

Price seemed a bit high (hard to do comparisons; few choices in market), but the service, delivery and installation were flawless and we love the product. They did exactly what they promised and on the schedule they agreed to. The two men who did the installation were very professional and obviously knew what they were doing; they were on site less than 2 hours. Cleanup was taken care of too. I'd recommend these guys to anyone... but maybe you can negotiate a lower price than I did.
