EXCELLENT WORK-PERFECT

We were pleased with the quick response to our phone call. A few days after our call, the work was done. The crew knew a lot about trees and helped us to understand what would make our yard look better, not just that day but over the long run. We plan to have them come back in the fall and look forward to working with them again.

The crew arrived on time were professional and courteous. Explained again what they would be doing. I changed my mind on how I wanted one tree done and they accommodated to how, I wanted the tree shaped. Cleaned everything up. Finished timely within 4 hrs. Highly recommend.

This job was done in 2 1/2 days. It was labor intensive and they did a great job. They did trees, landscaping, mulching and railroad ties, which we hadn't been able to get fixed for years:)

Wanted To Charge More After Agreement On Price

We live in a residential subdivision and Ace Tree Service performed the removals with skill and professionalism. The guys were great.

I had a really good experience with them. They did a really good job. It was $500 for the black walnut. They gave me a pretty good deal on the pine trees. They were pretty quick in coming out and there was no delay in doing the work. They put them in the shredder and I didn't have any mess when they left. It is a family owned business and the guy that was overseeing the work was really good. I didn't have any problem with all the workers. They had the best price. I'm going to use them again to take down more pine trees.

They were very knowledgeable and are a pleasure to work with.

Ace's came to my house on 17 Oct and gave me an estimate. I was shocked the price was great and 300.00 lower than another estimate I had a couple of days earlier. I was able to review their insurance which was comforting. The owner Terry call and wanted to cut the trees the same day as the estimate and she was a little pushy. I told her no, but thought about it over the weekend and called her on 21 Oct and she told me her team can come out there on the same day and cut the trees. I was a little surprise, I wanted to be there to watch and to pay them when they had completed the work. She said she will catch up with me after work. I said yes and when I got home that evening all 5 tree down and all stumps gone and the yard was cleaned. I was very happy. I told Terry that she was pushy, but her crew did a great job and I would recommend her to my friends.

After a wind storm which caused several large limbs from a maple tree to land on the roof of our house, we found Ace's Tree Service on Angie's list. We called them and two individuals from the company came to the house to provide a quote on removal of the maple tree. They returned our call and scheduled a day to come to look at the tree. They showed up on the day that they said they would. They provided a written quote which was the highest that we received, which is the only reason we did not hire them to do the job.

They were great.

Ace's Team was very supportive of what we wanted done and responded quickly--they assessed our lot on Monday and had a Team on site Tuesday. They worked tirelessly the entire day, even in bad weather. The Team lead did a great job trimming almost every tree on our lot and cutting out a few--he never complained and was quick to re-climb a tree when we asked for additional work on the tree. They cleaned up well and gave us advice on how to handle some aging and leaning trees. Management was also willing to work with us on cost and find a fair price that we both were happy with. Glad we used Ace's. They did a great job!

I found Ace's phone number in a local newsletter from my HOA and I called and spoke to Terry. She had someone out the next business day, Ross, who spoke to my husband for a few minutes and wrote up a proposal to remove a tree that we saw as bad and then he suggested some branches that were around the side of the house and close to the chimney. Within a day, the guys were back and did the job exactly. If it weren't for some items moved on the deck near where the tree used to be, I never would have known they were there, except of course that the tree was gone. They did a great job of cleaning up.

After the storm and extensive damage, I was surprised that someone from this company was able to come right out to give me an estimate. The other firms I contacted either didn't return my call or said it'll be a week or so before they could come out.The fellow was personable and seemed to know his trees. We discussed what would need to be done on each. Because of the number of trees, I had numbered and photographed each and described what was to be done, and gave him a copy of that. The first thing that gave me pause was he asked if I'd gotten any other estimates (which I hadn't at that point.) He wrote an estimate right there and then, of $8,500, telling me the job would probably take a couple days. The second thing that gave me pause was that the company called back a few days later to follow up. Considering the amount of damage in the area, it surprised me that a firm would do this. By then, I had found out that the insurance company would only pay for the trees on the fence, so I asked Ace's to e-mail me a revised estimate for specifically number trees off the list I'd given them (the ones on the fence). I said that we may have to take the others out ourselves. This led to a comment about how they could perhaps get enough coverage from the insurace to cover it all. I asked what that meant, and while I don't remember the exact answer, it made it appear they would overcharge the insurance company by enough to cover it all. When I said that's what it seemed like she was saying, and that I wouldn't want to deal with a company that would do that, she replied that storm damage is charged at $350 an hour, while regular tree work is at $250/ hour, and maybe they could just use the $250 rate. She said she would e-mail me a revised estimate for the specific trees, which I never received. While the $8,500 figure wasn't reflected in hours, divided by $350/hr that represents 3 days work, not the two stated initially. I note that it can't be figured precised that way, because the initial estimate had included some stump grinding, which may not be included in the hourly rates. However, the quote I got later (from a firm I had used satisfactorily before) was $4,250. Obviously I didn't use Ace's.

When shopping for prices, Ace's Tree Service had prices that were, in some cases, half what the other tree service companies were charging. It honestly seemed like a "too good to be true" scenario. Not only were they removing the trees at half the price, (one of which was half dead and hanging dangerously over the neighbor's property) but without extra charge they also removed the brush and debris laying around the yard that had been piled up in different places by the previous homeowner. The owner of the company even showed up herself and was very willing to negotiate on the price due to our limited funds. I was so skeptical about the price that I even took the day off of work in case there were any miscommunications. I tend to go by the rule, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is." At precisely the time they said they would arrive, they were there, and began work. In a matter of hours, they had cleared the trees that needed to come down, removed the excess brush, stacked the wood in the location I specified, and even went around with a leaf blower to clean up any stray wood shavings from the chipper. There was also another tree that had previously come down and had the wood laying on the ground still. They hauled that off, again for no extra charge. I was amazed at what a great job they did. They even did some trim work on some of the other trees that they noticed needed doing, and didn't charge me for it! I can't begin to describe how happy we were with their service, and there is absolutely no question that we will be calling them back for some stump grinding, and any other tree issues we should have in the future. This is the first in a long time that I felt like a valued customer. I can't recommend them enough!

After receiving their detailed written quote, I called them back to schedule the work. They scheduled me right away and got all of the work done over a 2 day period - working non-stop during normal business hours. A very professional crew that listened to all of my requests and acted accordingly. Any future tree work I need will be done by Ace's. Excellent pricing for such quality work.
