Absolute Kitchen & Bath

From the beginning to the end product, it was gorgeous. I've never been so happy with any worker. When people walk in, it's a "wow". I never had any problems, with all the workers, with anything.

We ordered cabinets in November. They were supposed to be ready for delivery while our bathroom tile was being installed. The tile company was gracious enough to agree to deliver them since their offices are in the same location. They never came. When my husband inquired as to their whereabouts, he was told they did not know. Since that time we have contacted our credit card company to back out the money paid for the cabinets. Conveniently enough the company called to tell us the cabinets were in. My husband said great, if they are here deliver them and we will contact the credit card company and tell them to let the payment stand. As of this writing, we have no refund and no cabinets. I called this morning and spoke with a lady, who told me basically everything I was relaying to her from my husband was not true. She said he had canceled the order, and they there would be no refund and that she never agreed to have the cabinets delivered.

Returning phone calls will be the least of your worries. Our cabinets did not arrive on time (last week of November expected delivery date). We were told on two separate occasions after that date, that the cabinets would be delivered. Someone waited at home and no delivery. When we told them in December that if they could not be delivered during the month, then we would expect a refund and to cancel the order. We were told since we "canceled" the order we would not get a refund. January 6th, Absolute contacted us to let us know the cabinets were in and what did we want to do. We made arrangements to pick them up on January 13. We did not unpack the shipping boxes on site, simply opened the top to make sure they were what we had ordered. One piece arrived damaged so we did not take possession of this piece. We took 4 pieces home. 2 of the 4 are of poor quality. The drawers do not line up, the dovetailing on the drawers does not lie flush etc. etc. We had one set of drawers looked at by an independent cabinet maker who told us IF they could be fixed it would most likely exceed the price we paid for the cabinets. I called absolute to explain this to them, and they told me since someone else had looked at the drawers, that voided the warranty and we would not get a refund. (The pickup, inspection by independent cabinet maker and call to Absolute all occurred within less than 24 hours.) This is now in the hands of the Better Business Bureau to help mediate a resolution. As of this writing, Absolute has been unwilling to provide a refund either based on the lateness of arrival of the cabinets, or based on the poor quality of the cabinets. If an amendable resolution is met without having to go to Court, I will provide additional information.
