Description of Work: Worst moving experience EVER. The owner Wayne came to our home to provide an estimate and sold us additional moving insurance for our items. At about 10 the night before our move he called to say his truck was broken but he had another truck that he might be able to send. He kept us hanging all day. Finally the next day some guy showed up with 2 deadbeats claiming they were the movers. They did not shrink wrap anything although we were told by Wayne it was standard. We had 2 washers and dryers that they stacked on top of each other causing significant damage to them. They picked up our 200 year old dining table on both ends without taking the brackets out of the middle so that the weight of the solid maple pedestals caused the top to crack in several places, despite the fact that I kept telling them that the table came apart into two separate pieces. They complained about the heat ( what do you expect with moving in July) and for every 15 minutes of working, they took a 30 minute break. The final cost was 4 times the estimate and they refused to provide us with any insurance information, only the name if the company. The owner did not redpond to the calls I placed until I stopper payment on the check. As it turns out, the insurance he sold us was non-existent. His insurance policy has been cancelled for 2 months. He had his bank send us a threatening letter about the stop payment. We filed a complaint with the Stafford County Sheriff who called his home but he would not return the calls. He called us stating that he showed the deputy his policy, yet the deputy has never seen him. We tape recorded all conversations and spoke to an attorney, but he is self employed and all property is in his wife's name. It would cost us even more money to collect the judgement if we sued. We are out $2500 just for the restoration of our table. My appliances look like crap and would cost more than they are worth to have the damaged panels replaced. We had to pay $1200 more for the other gouges and scratches on other furniture. If I were you, I would avoid this company at all costs. AAA Moving is a scam!

Description of Work: they were over an hour late. showed up with a rental truck and no dolly or tools. attitude about moving a three story townhouse even though the owner came to quote the job and was well aware of the three stories. did not use protective pads on hardwood floors until i asked. soiled clean carpet by not protecting during move-in. took too many smoke breaks and then still charged me an hour of travel time after they were late and unprofessional. had it not been for my husband and i helping with the move-it would have taken a lot longer! do NOT use this company to move!
