Description of Work: Contracted to install new hardwood flooring in 2 adjoining living spaces to match existing hardwood in adjacent foyer/hall. Stained the floors too dark and tried to convince us that stain would lighten over time. (Stained wood will normally darken with age) He finally agreed to resand and restain the floors and the outcome was acceptable. More issues include: did not begin or complete project as described. Asked for payment installment early, so he could take his family to the beach(again)-unprofessional. Used a lot of short boards (less than a foot in length) in the middle of floor space, which made the floor look cobbled together. We would have paid for more bundles of flooring to get a better look. Seams of many, many of the planks are with a few inches of each other-not a good look. And now, not even 2 years later, our floors boards are showing signs warping on the outer edges. We believe this is could have been prevented with a proper vapor barrier. It was just a very trying experience. Would recommend another contractor.

+ -1 moreProject was not finished in time as outlined. Disappointed in several aspects of install. Business owner offered many unprofessional excuses for gaps or shortcomings in service. Some points of the project did not materialize as promised, i.e., floors had to be resanded because the stain was too dark (did not match existing flooring, as was promised). Business Owner tried to convince us that the finish would lighten up over time and would match the floors in the adjoining area, which was refinished & stained (by him) about 2 years before. Really!?! Would not recommend.
Description of Work: Install new hardwood floors, stain and finish to match existing floors.

+ -1 moreTurner Flooring was referred to me by a house painting company on Angies List. Mr. Turner and his employee moved furniture out of the house as part of the service. He sanded all the floors up and downstairs and the staircase. Over a period of days he applied 3 coats of finish to the floors and after the final coat had "cured" he came back and replaced the furniture in the house. It was a very satisfactory job and was accomplished within the time frame given. I would certainly recommend Turner Flooring and would use their service again. Linda O'Neill
