The Brothers were very responsive in scheduling our appointment and did an excellent job. They even reattached a portion of one of the gutters that had pulled away. We have had a very hard time finding a professional and responsive service to deal with our gutter cleaning. It has seemed that the choices tended to be 2 guys and a ladder, and we would never know until the next hard rain if they had actually gotten the gutters cleaned. The Brothers by contrast were quite professional and clearly well versed in what they do. Gutters are all they do. It is often hard to find the right person for the job. When it comes to our gutters, we are done searching.

They put all new rain gutters on our house. It was last May or June. They were really good. The quality was excellent. Their quote was reasonable. They did what they said they would do. They did it promptly. The quality of the work was excellent. They came free a year later to fix the storm damage. I was so impressed!

I've even struggling for years with overflowing and gutter-guards that didn't work. I contacted "The Brothers" and they arrived as promised to provide an assessment. They immediately noted that my 4" gutters were too small to handle the load of a decent downpour, much less sustained heavy rain. I had myself suspected this, so I wasn't shocked. I contracted to replace all my gutters and downspouts with 6-inch size. I like to be on sight during work on my house, which some contractors dislike. These guys answered all my questions during the installation, and even welcomed my input on how to reflect water away from an overloaded roof valley. Overall, the experience was about as pleasant as is possible when coughing up $3,000. (And yes, I had other less expensive quotes to install new 4-inch gutters.) I've yet to see the new gutters at work during a gully-washer, but I'm confident that (a) they will work correctly, and (b) that if they don't, the Brothers will make it right.

We asked for a proposal and they responded in a timely fashion. We did not use them as the cost was higher than we could afford.

We moved into our house 2.5 years ago and noticed right away that the gutters on the back leaked at the corner seams. This is a new construction home built in 2008 and we are the first owners. Tried to get the contractor who built the house to fix them only to find he went out of business, and the guy who replaced him never returned our calls or e-mails even after months of nagging (heard he lost his job, can't imagine why). We had several other issues that he had to fix, so he was probably tired of getting calls from me. Initially thought they just needed cleaned and had a handyman come to do it (3 stories off the ground & I don't own ladders long enough to get there). He found them pretty clean but retaining water in the area where the corners leaked -- likely sloped wrong. Made many calls to local gutter guys (in Roanoke) over the ensuing year to get an estimate to fix. Either they weren't interested (I assume because it was a small job) or they were too busy to even come over to quote the work (probably for the same reason). Somewhere along the line I noticed that one corner of the house had no downspout, so I had a different handyman some in to install one in the hope that it would fix the water retention problem. It didn't. I requested a quote a few weeks ago after finding The Brothers that Just Do Gutters on Angie's List. They are out of Lynchburg (about 50 miles away) so it was a shot in the dark, but they were highly rated and I had no other options. The scheduler I talked to was so nice...she listened to my story (as above) and got me the next available appointment (they try to schedule all their appointments in Roanoke on the same day since it's so far from the office). Jeremiah showed up a little early for the estimate appointment (which was about 2 weeks ago), but who can complain about that? He walked around the house with me and almost immediately spotted the problem. He also pointed out several other areas that needed attention that I didn't realize were issues. The scope of work included (1) re-sloping of all gutters that weren't sloped properly, (2) re-sealing of all corner joints, and (3) cleaning of all gutters wherever indicated. Total estimate $350. I have a 2400 sqft house, so the price was perfectly reasonable to me as this involves a lot of gutter that is totally out of my reach. Jeremiah & his partner showed up right on time today to do the work. He was courteous (nice guy to talk to, very laid back and friendly), cleaned up after his work, and confirmed everything he was going to do before he did it. Job took about 2.5 hours and was completed exactly to the estimate. Overall a good experience, would recommend them for future work. If you live in Roanoke, don't hesitate to call these guys even though they're out of Lynchburg. You'll be glad you did.
