Holistic uses minimal toxins for maximal results and will listen closely to customer concerns--in our case children and a dog. The treatment is very effective. At any sign of trouble, I call Holistic and they come out and address the trouble. Our technician is well trained and knowledgeable.

Everything was smooth, and they arrived exactly when the appointment was scheduled. The office contacted me mid summer to remind me that it was time to schedule the appointment, and followed up with an email. They were able to schedule when I was able to leave my dos inside, and all went well.

We had all these little holes in the wood siding under our converted porch and we could hear wood crunching and saw bits of sawdust falling from them, and didn't know what the problem was. Lewis diagnosed this as carpenter bees (and to our relief nothing more serious like wood-boring beetles), sprayed the holes in 15 minutes, and then walked through our whole basement and attic looking for other issues. He was really friendly and helpful, explained how different kinds of bugs migrate around during the spring, explained all the possible problems we could have, how to look for them, how to fix them ourselves if we wanted to. Excellent experience. We're definitely going to call Lewis if we have any more problems!

The technicians showed up on time and clearly identified themselves and explained their methods. They then systematically treated the house. The treatment proved to be about 95% effective after 3 weeks. The technician came out for a second round of minor spot treatments, without ending the infestation. On the company’s behalf, I should say that ours had been the heaviest and earliest ant infestation they had ever seen.

They sprayed the house for stink bugs and lady bugs.

They do it just during summer months. I use them monthly during the summer. The quality varies. On the whole they have been okay but they have had a little problem with the people that they hired so it is hard to predict. Their cost of service is quite reasonable. Generally they do a good job. They had a problem with one fellow last year and they got rid of him -- they replaced him. They are different people who have come out from time to time but on the whole I would say they do a good job. They come out on a regular basis and they call before coming out. It probably takes about a half hour for the work to be completed. The charge probably depend on the amount of area that they use the fogging machine on. It is the same job that they do every year and they seem to do okay.

I may have misunderstood - what they did was fine, and the results were great; however , I had thought they said they would plug the holes, which they didn't.

We had worked with two competing services for a couple of years each. Then 6 years ago we contracted with Holistic, and the experience was completely different: intelligent attention, super-careful concern about not exposing us, our child or our animals to danger, rapid response to new species emergencies. The work was more effective and timely and safer. The ladybug treatment, though expensive, was worth every penny: they're nearly gone. We wish we had tried it in earlier years! We've worked with them at a small, modern house in the Blue Ridge, and then on an old farm house in the Piedmont. No problem with transisition.

The technician that did the service was very professional, cordial, explained everything in great detail and was very specific. He was prompt, courteous, and friendly.

Holistic Pest Solutions is very responsive when contacted through their online form. I worked with Sam who was great and very honest in his assessment and pest control solutions. We discussed possible solutions to rodent issues as well as treatment for the cave crickets. Would work with again.

They never responded on the inquiry sent to them via Angie's List. I guess they are not interested in our business! Too bad!

These are some extremely professional people. I'm on a regular program with them because RATS appeared at my house via a problem sewer line somewhere in my neighborhood. They came promptly the first time I called, assessed the situation, made a plan, and reassured me that my dogs wouldn't be in danger. from the baited traps. (I still put a bolt lock on my cellar door, though, just in case.) I think it was about $280 dollars for the first visit, and then $50 / month. They always call the day before they come (though I don't need to be home since they bait in the cellar) and leave a note in the door about the amount of activity at the traps. A few months ago they suggested that I switch to every other month @ $70 rather than monthly service because the rat activity has dropped off significantly. I thought that was very honest of them.

They were good and they gave us some information but they told us that they couldn't help us so they didn't charge us anything. They said it was cluster fly and they couldn't do anything about it. They come in in the summer time and they live on the walls then it warms up they think it is spring so they come out and fly around the clusters on windows that is why they are called cluster fly. The only possible way to do anything is spray the entire outside of the house like in August or September to try keep them from coming in because once they got in there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. He said that they haven't had any success with it; I appreciated his honesty. I will use him again if I have other needs. They were friendly and prompt.

Ty came out twice for us to take measurements as well as walk us through the treatment steps. He is very punctual, professional, candid and extremely knowledgeable about all solutions. Since we have young kids and vegetable garden in our backyard and are more concerned than normal about potential impact on soil and surroundings, we asked lots of questions and even went back and forth about our decisions. Throughout our in-decisiveness,Ty is wonderfully patient to provide any information to assist our decision making effort. This is truly impressive and we would absolutely recommend Holistic to any friends for future businesses.

He was not able to treat our house due to a backlog. However during his inspection and estimate it was clear that Ty is a very knowledgeable and capable professional. He always got back to me in a timely manner and was willing to adjust as best he could to meet my timeline. I wish we had been able to use Holistic and would recommend him to others.

As explained above, John Ashcraft of Holistic Pest Solutions, is so honest that he talked himself out helping me at this time. However, you can be sure I will use him for any future problem, and I would highly recommend that others do the same. Another company came out and told me I needed $580 worth of treatment this year, and then a maintenance program of $95 every 3 months. I would think that Holistic Pest Solutions has programs that might be this costly, but for sure they will not sell them to you when you don't really need them.

After our previous pest control company became unreliable, and even billed us for a treatment they didn't do, I asked neighbors for recommendations and the most commonly mentioned company was Holistic Pest Solutions. They come out every other month, if I remember correctly, and they have successfully kept the critters at bay. We have an unfinished basement and used to get a lot of spiders and even a lizard or occasional frog, but we see far fewer insects now (the inevitable ladybugs come in around the windows, but they do treatments around the windows to reduce the population). Since we do tend to get big hairy spiders in the dark corners of the basement, I have a standing request with the company for them to call me the day before they come out, so I can make sure I'm home. They always do! The technicians are really friendly (my cat likes them too and always greets them!), courteous and thorough. On the rare occasion we have an emergent need, they come out at no additional charge. And if I report something unusual, like the time we had a persistent "infestation" of fruit flies that we were killing by the hundreds DAILY with our homemade traps (apple cider vinegar with a touch of dishwashing liquid in a small bowl...gets them but good!), they sprayed something down the kitchen sink's drain to kill the eggs (they breed in drains). We had poured bleach down there but they were still coming. HPS's treatment got rid of them! We've been so impressed with them we just hired them to do our lawn treatments, which is a new service they're offering. Since we have a cat who hangs out in the backyard, I wanted a safer treatment for the lawn and theirs is organic and completely safe for people and pets. I highly recommend this company!

The guy who paid the initial visit was prompt and instilled great confidence. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing, but he gladly explained various options--including how I might handle the problem myself. He was very reassuring when I expressed concern about protecting my dogs against any danger of poisoning.

This was the first time we have used them. They were confident, professional, knowledgeable and provided a very fast service. They were also responsive. The initial treatment they came out and we will be on a plan with them. Just one employee came out and he stayed for about 30 minutes to an hour.
