Description of Work: Excellent job! Our heat went out on Christmas evening. I called and was scheduled for an appointment the next morning. Carl arrived on time and had the heat back on in less than an hour. My husband wanted to understand what had happened. Carl was patient in explaining the problem and when my husband still had questions, took him into the crawl space and showed him on the furnace. Great company with great workers!

Terry from Blue Mountain Plumbing and Heating came out on a weekend to unclog our kitchen sink and garbage disposal. The experience was better than expected. I was able to reach a live person in the office on Sunday morning who scheduled Terry to arrive between noon and 2PM that same day. He was courteous, prompt, clean and affordable. I will definitely use Terry and Blue Mountain again.

Furnace Repair
Description of Work: We turned on our furnace for the first time this fall with the recent cold snap and we had nothing, on a weekend no less. I called and they had a serviceman out that same day. The problem was a broken switch in the furnace. The serviceman was able to make the furnace work even though he did not have the part he needed. He got the house warmed up and made sure everything was working safely before leaving. The next day they returned with the part and repaired my furnace. I am so grateful for Blue Mountain getting my heat up and running. The repair cost me $348 which included both the

Water Heater replacement, Tank Booster installation and associated Plumbing
Description of Work: Blue Mountain Plumbing and Cooling is an outstanding home service company. We have used them several times for a variety of Plumbing and HVAC issues and their service history with us has been EXCEPTIONAL! Last weekend, Nate was sent to diagnosis our leaking water heater. He quickly identified the problem and discussed his findings with us in plain, simple to understand detail. The water heater was leaking from the tank and unfortunately there was not a repair option available and the heater simply needed to be replaced. He provided us a total price to complete the job. He also suggested we consider a tank booster which he thought would help with us running out of hot water when filling our soaking tub. We accepted the replacement offer and were able to get scheduled next week on my day off. On Tuesday Nate returned with a helper to replace our water heater and install the tank booster. He had trouble draining the old heater due to our hard water but in no time he had the old tank out and the new water heater and tank booster in. Nate and his helper took care to not make a mess when removing our old rusting and leaking heater and their work installing the new water heater looked great. That night we tested the tub and we can now fill our soaking tub without running out of hot water. Nate is a true plumbing professional and we will continue to ask for him in the future.

Water leak detection and repair
Description of Work: After receiving our third water bill doubled and checking all our commodes etc. we couldn't find the leak and were afraid it was a major issue. I made an appt on Monday for Thursday of that week and they arrived when they said they would and were so nice and helpful. They found the problem and it wasn't major and the price was great. I will most definitely use them again. They also gave me an estimate to move my laundry room while they were there when I asked if they would and it was really reasonable. I'm just super thankful and so impressed with their service

A Gas Leak Repair gone wrong from so-called “Professionals”. Stay away from Blue Mountain Plumbing, Heating & Cooling in Fishersville, VA. On May 5, 2020 they came in to fix a small Gas Leak in the Basement – replace a Pipe with a new flexible Pipe. Two Techs and a Helper. When done we were told we were all set; the new Pipe was in place; they tested everything – we were good to go. The smell of Gas would dissipate soon. Instead they made the Leak worse! Part of the Pipe replacement required 4 Fittings. 3 of the 4 Fittings were still loose and 1 of them was put on by Hand only! Instead of the Gas dissipating it was building up in the House. With the Weather chilly we had the Heat on and the Windows closed. We went to bed that Night believing all was good. We were sleeping in a time-bomb. With all the Windows closed, how long does it take for the House to build up with Gas before it explodes? My Wife & I are Senior Citizens. My Wife is a Stroke victim; a Lung Cancer survivor; a Type-2 Diabetic; on a list of Medications; half Blind; along with other preexisting conditions. We are adhering to the Stay at Home Order from the Governor – so our traveling is minimal. The next morning 15+ hours later my Wife is complaining of Headaches and having problems with her remaining vision. I give her Tylenol and began to closely monitor her movements. I’m thinking she is having another Stroke. Instead – it’s the Gas filling up in the House. After Breakfast we go to the Store for a gallon of Milk. We walk into the House and it the smell of Gas is overwhelming. I immediately called Blue Mountain because less than 24-hours ago they told us we were okay. They sent a Tech over right away. I shut the Heat off and opened all the Doors & Windows. The Tech that came over informed me of what the Team the day before did not do. This Tech told me that 3 of the 4 Fittings were leaking. That is a 75% failure rate! They also did not perform Soap Test which is the final step needed when installing a new Gas line. I called Donna at Blue Mountain insisting on a refund. We paid $1,457.74 for a Service poorly performed. The House could have blown up with us in it. Donna offered a $100 credit to our Account and a free Maintenance Contract for 2-years on Heating & A/C. Blue Mountain has no intentions of any Cash refund! Per Donna “…. we did the work….”and when you called, I sent a Tech right over! Donna was coming across as if she was doing us a favor! I see it more like there was a major Liability in the making. She needed to get a Tech over to make sure the House did not blow up with fatalities possible. They have our Money and they plan to keep it. We have our Lives and we will never use them again. Donna can keep her 2-Year free Maintenance Offer! Unacceptable and insulting!

HVAC, Plumbing, Drain Cleaning
Description of Work: Before I get to my review I think a little history is necessary. While my wife and I were away on vacation in Hawaii we got a call from our neighbor who was babysitting our house. We had a major water leak, she called her plumber "Blue Mountain" who responded immediately , they turned off the water, then called us to tell us that our house was not habitable and when we come home to plan on spending some time in a hotel. Blue Mountain then proceeded to contact a cleanup crew, a moving company to remove all our belongings to a storage facility and a renovation contractor, this was all above and beyond their responsibility and since were so far away we really appreciated all there efforts. They then proceeded to resolve all of our plumbing and electrical problems which included a new furnace and air conditioner, new duct work, new water lines, new light fixtures, The work they performed was excellent and there technicians were knowledgeable and courteous. We could not ask for a better outcome. I would recommend them any time, any day and twice on Sunday. Thanks guys.

I hired Blue Mountain for my gas logs. They were the only contractor I could find who was interested in gas piping and gas log work. The logs are used to supplement my heating system on my main floor. I have natural gas to my house. Blue Mountain installed my new gas line and logs in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and my gas logs are working as they should.

Stay away from this company. They are extremely overpriced. I had a bad fan blower on my furnace. When they finished I found the motor they had put in only cost $208. They charged me $821 for the repair. It took the tech just one hour to install it. They said it was just a "flat rate" for the repair. I wish I could make $600 an hour. Pretty good living. Stay away!!!

Thought I was paying after hours prices only to find out that I just paid regular which was almost $300 more than most places. Sent someone in training that night broke a pipe down stairs ruining some items only to leave and have to come back with someone else the next day. Cleared blockage told me it was inside the house, definitely. 2 days later another blockage wouldn't come back and check it out said he felt a sag in the line and a root. Called roto rooter paid 300 less to reclear the same blockage, lines checked no root, no sag. Strongly do not recommend this company
