Nickie Myers is a goddess! Her consultation included cabinet selection, advice on granite and a coordinating backsplash, and flooring suggestions, as well as wall colors. She was there in a jiffy and provided much-needed handholding on some big decisions. She knows her stuff! After speaking with her, the plan was crystallized and we are moving forward. She also provided other suggestions to make the rooms flow better. I would recommend her highly and am anxious for her to attack the rest of my house!

I think it was OK. I was impressed with Nickie's understanding of colors and design placement. However, I was disappointed with the ability not to share the specifics. I felt that terms and ideas were thrown out without having any time to write them down or even process. She really seemed in a rush that day. I was also disappointed with the fact that I clearly had some ideas of how I wanted to use and leverage Nickie's services. I took time planning out how I would like to use the services over a four hour period. She did agree with me on the approach, however when she showed up it seemed like she was working against her own plan and agenda not taking into account what I previously requested. I felt above everything that she did not listen to what I needed as a client, which needless to say was disappointing.

The designer pointed out that our kitchen cabinets, honey oak, have a lot of yellow in them, which conflicts with our tile flooring. The kitchen tile flooring looks white to me (when it is clean) but the designer pointed out the floor actually has tiny flecks of blue sprinkled throughout. That was a big a-ha moment, as now we could see the problem too. She suggested that for our remodel, we consider a cleaner cabinet design that is more modern and a color that would complement the flooring, as we didn't intend to replace that. She also suggested several touches throughout the house, such as painting our living room fireplace a creamy white to match our bookcases, and to replace our outdoor brass light fixtures with black ones. She has a gift of describing what needs to be done in a way that doesn't hurt anyone's feelings. You can also immediately see the rightness of her suggestions. Many of the suggestions are low cost (like the cost of a can of paint).

She was terrific, very warm and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed having her over and sharing her ideas with me. She also gave me some recommendations of other good people for flooring and other work. I couldn t be happier.

She did what she promised she would do and some. She charged $125 for the hour and she used the time wisely. She gave me a follow calls to ensure that everything was going smoothly and she gave good referenced to get the work done.

Nickie was warm and lovely and I felt immediately at ease. We talked extensively about my living/dining area and she gave several wonderful suggestions to improve the look and usability of my home. We also sat and discussed colors for the walls (what would work, what wouldn't and why), plus window treatments for the entire house. She provided me with a number of resource catalogs. I took tons of notes and can't wait to work with Nickie again. You can tell she absolutely loves what she does.

Nickie was great. In just an hour consultation, she came out and walked through the house and gave me excellent advice on moving furniture around etc. and inexpensive handyman fixes to do to get our house ready for sale.

Nickie Myers was great and very easy to work with. She was prompt answering phone calls and when she came to my house. She made sure I understood her fee schedule. She really listened to what we were trying to accomplish with our room decor. Nickie gave practical suggestions, used furniture and items we had on hand, rather than pushing expensive changes. She listened to our ideas and gave clear explanations about whether they were right or not for the room. She provided cost effective alternatives for the few things she suggested we add to provide a more functional, finished look. Her fresh take on the furniture arrangement has really transformed our den/informal dining area.

Nicki arrived early and was extremely helpful. She is easygoing, but firm when she thinks you may be going in the wrong direction on color, style, shape, etc. She has a good eye, and good ideas. She is a great value at $125 per hour, and she made sure to move through our work quickly because she wanted to make good use of our time. We are doing a $50,000 remodel of our home and this was some of the best money we've spent. In 1 1/2 hours we had a plan with beautiful, well matched colors to carry out on our own. I'll say again, she is very easy to work with and highly recommended.

SHE WAS TIMELY AND OFFERED MANY IDEAS IN ADDITION TO TELLING ME WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE COLOR I HAD CHOSEN. MY LAYMAN'S EYE DID NOT SEE THAT IT HAD A GREEN BASE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS BEIGE AND I HAD NO GREEN IN THE ROOMS PAINTED. SHE ALSO GAVE ME SUGGESTIONS ON COLORS TO USE IN MY DINING ROOM AND BATHROOM.
