Weiler's Lawn & Landscape Inc

.I called Weiler's in late September to request lawn mowing services so we would have lawn mowing while we were away for a few weeks. There was a minimum of 4 mowings to arrange this service . I contracted for 5 mows to begin that week if possible. Within a day or two, the Weiler's team arrived with their equipment and speedily mowed and edged the front and back lawns. Our driveway is narrow so getting their big riding mower in the backyard was difficult but luckily they had a smaller mower to get into the backyard. The lawn looks very good and I hope to use them in future for more services. The price of $42.00 per mow seems high but maybe the price goes down if you contract for a longer period.

The company was great! They sent out a representative to look at the lawn and to walk through the work we needed done. They sent an estimate and scheduled a crew. The crew did an amazing job with the weeding! They removed the floor bed and the leaves. They sent a crew to followup to remove debris that was left behind. Very professional and I would hire them again.

Their estimator came for one-hour appointment to walk around the yard, identify work to be done. she promised estimate in a week or so. I called and wrote multiple times to follow up and never heard back.

Unfortunately my experience with Weiler's ended on a bit of a sour note. I am currently preparing my property for sale so I am in a bit of a bind in terms of time (e.g., this project needed to be done yesterday :) ) so I contacted Weiler's to hire them to tidy up the grounds to enhance curb appeal. Two employees came to my house on the date and time that we agreed and were extremely professional while collecting information about the project. They noted that they were a bit busy so they would get an estimate to me by the following Tuesday. However, it is now Thursday and I have not received the estimate despite having received bids from several other companies who visited me earlier this week. Unfortunately I don't have the time to continue waiting for the estimate. My take away is that this appears to be a solid company based on other reviews but they dropped the ball with me given my need for speed on this project.

He was a little late, but did call to let me know and was apologetic once he arrived. Overall, we came close to choosing Weiler's to build a small patio and stone path, but ultimately went with another company. We are only having the fire pit done now however so may well go back to Weiler's next year when we do the path, or maybe new steps. It's clear they take their work seriously and I would expect great attention to detail based on our interaction.

Weiler's did an excellent job. We had a major problem with soil erosion and drainage in our backyard, as we are on a hill. They came out promptly and gave us a detailed estimate. Bill Weiler is so experienced, he was able to make calculations in his head about the amount of stone required, the amount of time it would take, the different types of drains and underground conduits, the use of a tractor, the types of sod necessary, etc. and talk to us about the options while we were standing there. He followed up with a highly detailed, very professional written proposal. His workers were very conscientious and hard working. They re-leveled our back yard, built a beautiful stone retaining wall for us, did additional stone work in connection with the drainage system into the storm drain, and fixed some other things. They consulted us frequently, and obviously cared about our views. They planted some additional bushes for us and-- miracle of miracles-- still came in under budget, so they reduced our price. I've never heard of such a thing. These people were honest craftsmen and I will never go anywhere else for future landscaping needs.

Excellent job! The work was very well done. Will Weiler, the owner of the company, came out to do the estimate and his company performed the job precisely as we had agreed upon. There were no surprises and when a few issues came up that we had not discussed, Will called me to advise of the requirement for modifications before they were executed. I graded a "B" on pricing only because the job came in a little higher than other estimates but I must caveat the grade by stating that with landscapers, you get what you pay for, and what I got from Weilers was top-notch. I would absolutely hire this company again. They are very professional and provide first rate service and performance.

It was really great working with Weiler's. They really care about what they do which is the bonus in working with a family owned and operated business. We actually had two quotes - one for the spring clean up and another for additional landscaping. We went with the spring clean up and a few of the items from the additional landscaping due to budget constraints and were very very happy. We had lots and lots of weeds and since the clean up, we have had very few come back (they dug up the beds to remove the weeds which obviously is more effective than simple pulling or treating) and we got all kinds of good and practical advice regarding how to maintain that has been very useful. They are a bit pricey but we feel that it is worth it for a variety of reasons: 1. Labor - the supervisor of the team has worked with the company for years and the other guys were newer but it didn't seem to us that they use day labor which is important to us (meaning they offer benefits and regular employment) 2. They listen - they heard us when we talked about what was important, what was less important and how to make the most of our budget 3. Convenience - soooooo nice to come home from work and see the yard beautifully transformed! We spent hours and hours over several weekends and didn't make a dent (well, we couldn't keep up with the spring growth) We will definitely be calling them in the spring again to help us keep our yard looking clean and tidy!

They were quite professional. I was pleased with both their suggestions and responsiveness. I would use them again in the future too.

It went great. They were courteous, neat, and responsive. They even replaced some plants that died. They were easy to work with.

It went very well. They showed up when they said they would to do the estimate. They offered me some suggestions. Theirs was not the only estimate but it was the most reasonable. I also really like that they are a woman owned company. The work was done on time, within the estimate and has held up, which is more than I can say for a lot of work that I've had done. I would hire them again in a heatbeat. Great work and good to work with.

How did it go? I give the experience an "F."

They were pretty good about calling me back and were very professional with their quote. It was for about $800. The person who gave me the quote had some good suggestions. However, I didn't use them because I found another company that provided what I wanted for a little cheaper.

Weiler came out, Karen was my contact, and first listened to our problems, concerns and needs. They then provided an assessment and several suggestions. Due to the amount of work, they spent approx two days. Karen was very responsive during that time and subequent to it.

They picked weeds, cleaned up, and charged a fair price. They were very professional. They also gave me an estimate for a paver, but we did not have this done.

They were very good, prompt and professional. They knew what they were talking about. They understood what I wanted to be done and they were going to do it for me in the timeframe that I wanted. Their price was a fraction too high than what I wanted to pay at that time. If I had some extra money, I definitely would have gone with them. For the quality of work that they offer it would be worth paying that price. I would recommend them to others.

My request for an estimate was responded to quickly. It took a week or so to have the estimate---they were busy with jobs. I had 4 other estimates completed before I met with Will. Will Weiler was very thorough in his estimate, explained what needed to be done and why. He mailed the estimate within a couple days and the estimate was actually a folder of references, mulitiple copies of a contract and a phamplet about the business. Will mentioned that work could be delayed because of weather and the work was rescheduled well in advance with only a one day delay (I wasn't on a strict schedule and it made no difference to me). During the estimate Will mentioned work would take at least 1 day and I was very pleased to see more workers than promised on the work day and the job was completed earlier than estimated. As the job was being completed I was introduced to all the team members and was shown all the work that had been done, a few minor things I asked about were immediately taken care of. We do most of our yard work ourselves but if I ever need assistance with a large job I will hire Weiler's again. Service was reliable, communication was clear every step of the way and the completed work looks even better than we expected.

Everything went very well, and I was happy with the results, both structurally and aesthetically. The workers were very, very good, and the owner/manager was superb.

Overall, a pleasant experience from beginning to end. Workmen arrived on time, worked efficiently to complete the task and clean up was excellent.

The representative (Karen) was very helpful, punctual and knowledgeable.

They are the group of five peoples and they did the job very quick. They are not real detail oriented. They come in and do the job very quickly and everything, but it is like an average quality. I would not use their service in the future.

I had 6 estimates, weilers was %60 higher then everyone else. I feel like it was price qouging since I live in Arlington, not sure. Part of the job was to install a single boarder field stone. Not stacked, single border. $5000. WHOA. The owner was prompt and professional bu way out of my price range.

They are very thorough, very professional, they were the most expensive bid we got but delivered above and beyond the other landscapers.

90% of work completed with workmanship didn't bury one of the downspout run-offs didn't bring in straw to cover the fill they brought in completed 1-2 things that I requested of them but forgot to bill me I didn't argue the un-done things, because it evened out with the done-but-not-billed things and I was busy with work anyway. Overall: great price for the work, but marginal work. Advice: If you're a generally proficient DIYer then this firm is the way to go. It'll save you alot and get the major lifting out of the way. If you want someone to take care of everything for you so you never have to worry again, pay the extra 1-2 grand for a top of the line job.
