Mr. Weiler was responsive from the beginning. He came over early on a weekday to look around and give me a (free) estimate. He seemed very knowledgable about the different plants and bushes in the yard and how each one should be pruned. His was the lowest of the three estimates I got, and he was also the person with whom I felt most comfortable. The work was scheduled and completed when he said it would be, and they did a great job.

Were prompt to schedule and professional with the visit, but took ~2 weeks after consultation to get an estimate out for a pretty basic job (patio & sod). Price was on the high side of contractors sampled.

We've been using Weiler's for over 10 years. They do a great work for us.

This is the second time I have used Weiler's. They are excellent!

Weilers were very responsive to my e-mail enquiry. They sent a project manager out to assess the size of my yard and she gave me the quote, which was a very reasonable $40 a mow for one-third of an acre, most of which is under grass. Last night I came home to my first mow - it looks fabulous. The grass is lovely, all straight lines. They worked nicely around some very heavy furniture I had on the lawn, and they tidied up beautifully afterwards. I feel in good hands.

Will Weiler is very professional, courteous, and punctual, and apparently conscientious about the quality of the work. I have some misgivings, though, about the quality of the work. As the mulch has washed and worn off of several of the plantings, I can see that they were just kind of stuck in the ground in a hole about the size of the rootball. Also, it's almost May now, and these plantings were in November, and I don't see much new growth so far this spring. Even accounting for the harsh winter, I think the plants should be doing better if they were properly planted. This all leaves me questioning whether the guys who dig the holes and work the dirt share Mr. Weiler's commitment to quality.

From first contact, they were prompt and professional, and seemed knowledgeable. Ratings were good on Angie's list, and they were local, so I wanted to get a quote. Mr. Weiler came and we walked the backyard and I described the issues I was having, and that I wanted french drains put in. I had already had 2 quotes from 2 other companies, and wanted a 3rd (general rule says get 3 bids on everything). However, once I described the issue, he was very reluctant, and almost dismissive about the drains. He said I didn't have the right grading to be able to get the water out of my yard (even tho another company has explained how they will accomplish it, and guarantee it). He wouldn't even explore any possibilities of ways to get it done. When I tried to discuss a couple of other projects I need, he wouldn't give me the time of day, saying I have to get the water problem fixed first. Too bad, because once I get the water problem fixed, I won't call them for the other projects. I feel like he could have at least discussed what other things I needed and gotten some quotes so that I could have begun to plan it all out.

They have cut my grass for years. They tore out some old bushes. They were professional, quick and clean. I would recommend them as well.

The quote was a lot more than I wanted to pay. There was a specific product that I wanted to put in, and that product turned out to be a lot more costly than I thought. That's why I decided not to go with him. He seemed professional, though. The price was probably reasonable for what I was requesting, but it was more than I thought it would be.

Karen had great ideas for how to fix the drainage problems, and really worked with us to get a solution within our budget. We had a few estimates and their's was the best. We especially appreciated how she used some existing drainage features installed by previous owners to lower the cost to us. After the initial work was done there were a couple of things that needed to be fixed (a gutter pipe that came loose and a missing drain cover) and they came out and fixed those right away. They cleaned up after the job very well, and the solution Karen designed did a great job of fixing the problem. We had trouble getting in touch once or twice, but I think that is partially since they keep earlier hours than we do.

The rate was wonderful. They were very reliable. I highly recommend them to anyone.

The landscape consultant, Karen Baer, came to my house without charge and gave me her recommendations (I had already consulted with several other firms, so by that time I pretty much knew what I wanted). A quote came by e-mail shortly thereafter, and it was significantly lower than quotes from the nurseries with landscaping services. Weilers gets their plants from Merrifield Gardens in Falls Church, so I was able to go there and select the ones I wanted (and they adjusted the contract price accordingly). They arrived on time and did the work promply. I asked them to do a couple of things that weren't specified in the contract, and was prepared to pay extra for it, but they happily did what I wanted without even suggesting additional cost. The only complaint is that the designer was not on site when they started the work, so they didn't completely understand that they were supposed to prepare beds for planting even where they were not planting things (so I could add plants myself next year). Fortunately I was there to point that out, and there was no argument about it. However, later I discovered that not all areas had been prepared. When I watered the trees (which they didn't do at all), I found that the soil was not packed firmly aroung the roots in some cases, as in should be. When the designer called me to see if I was satisfied, I pointed out those problems, and she immediately agreed to send the crew back out to make corrections. That was done when weather permitted. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the work and will certainly use them again.

Due to all the rain during the spring of 2009, my backyard was retaining water and I started to have potholes for the first time in 7 years. It was a mess and muddy situation. So I decided to build a patio and got 4 companies from Angies list plus the usual big companies. Since the beggining I liked the personal touch of Weiler's. They did not provide the cheapest quote, but it was the most detailed one and proffesionally put together including a visit to the site. The completed job was done perfectly and my backyard looks much better, it was also ready on time for our Fourth of July BBQ as promised! Affter a few heavy rains, the patio is doing great and no water accumulates anymore. Thank you!

Mr. Weiler arrived before his team so that we could review the work to be completed. About an hour later his team arrived, and started doing their work. They had to remove some of our hardscape; prior to leaving they repaired everything that they had dug up. There were a few minor landscape issues that were not completely repaired, which are minor nuisances but not a big deal. Mr. .Weiler returned at the end of the day to review the work that his team had done and to address my questions. We feel that Mr. Weiler was very professional, his crew did a very good job, they were quick, completed the job on time and as expected.

This was a rather delayed job as I first contacted Weiler's last Fall but after Karen worked up a proposal we agreed that the timing was not right to trim azaleas. I called them this spring, Karen responded promptly, we made some modifications to the earlier proposal and the work was scheduled. The crew arrived on the appointed day (despite some minor delays caused by our really wet spring) They had all needed equipment, including the trencher, and got to work. Karen came by to check on things that day. I decided that we wanted abit more work done on the hill and when Karen came back the next day we quickly arrived at a plan. I was impressed with the hard working and responsive crew. A tremendous amount of mulch had to be moved via wheelbarrows from the street to the back. The end results are just what we wanted.

They are very prompt, tidy, polite, quick and proficient. They do their jobs very well. They gave me a bid over a year ago but it took me a long time to call them back. When I did call them back a couple of months ago, they agreed to do the same work with no change in the bid price. The person who bid the job was on-site at the beginning and at the end of the job and she made a follow up call as well.

We have had a contract with Weiler's for the last two years to perform weekly mowing. They are efficient, reliable and do a good job. For the folks who provided poor feedback on their responsiveness, they are a busy shop and may not be as responsive on the phone to new customers. However, if you get on contract before the beginning of the mowing season, they will take care of you.

Weiler's was very professional and friendly on the initial phone call. They scheduled a visit and estimate. Will Weiler himself came out on time, and provided a preliminary verbal estimate. That was followed by an email PDF estimate, and then a mailed estimate. All items were detailed and itemized as discussed. Will Weiler was very helpful and clear when he was here, and did not attempt to upsell the job. He made sensible suggestions here and there. On the whole, we were very impressed with the experience, and plan to keep them on our short list for any yard/landscaping/patio-type project in the future. Despite having not worked with them, we feel confident that they would have done an excellent job, and honestly feel that we can recommend them highly. Their prices will not be rock-bottom as they are a top-notch firm, but they are very reasonable, considering.

They do a good job and are fair in price. They will come back and fix things for you at no additional charge. They stand behind their work and give clear an detailed estimates. They are prompt in responding and show up on time. I have been using them for 2 years now.

It was supposed to be a one day project, but it took three days and they didn't get the job done right. The core of the problem was lack of communication and there was a language barrier between owner, sales person, and the home owner. The president of the company came out multiple numbers of time to ensure customer satisfaction and to make things right. I want to commend him for his efforts. Four of the six bushes that they planted died and two have some green left in them. I also asked them to remove a half dozen fence post so I could reuse them. All but two of the fence post were broken off at ground level, so they were unusable.

They repaired everything with this window leaking issue and they did an excellent job. They also attached a drain pipe to the french drain to take the water away from the home to alleviate the problem.

Will Weiler came out and reviewed the work we wanted done, made some suggestions and came back with a very thorough and complete written estimate of the work they would do. Very professional and helpful. We decided to go with another company largely because of a better price, though Weiler's was certainly in the ball-park.

They called me back on time. They came when they said they were going to come. They did business over e-mails which I preferred, so I could have things in writing. The price was fair for the work that they did. They were able to get it done in a day. There was also someone there who spoke English that we could communicate with.
