Sparkle technician was in the area when I called. He arrived within 30 minutes and quickly cleaned out the drain. He cleaned up the sink after he was done.

We called at 9:00 in the morning and spoke with one of the family members of the company he said he had a fairly full day, but would be there around 3:00 that day. He also said that if he had any cancellations he would call and come earlier. He ended up arriving exactly when he said he would and called when he was about 20 minutes away. Once he was here he was friendly, professional and prompt. In addition to fixing the clogged drain he had recommendations for drain cleaner and maintaining the disposal in the future. He also gave us a reference for another company for a different project we had asked about. He also offered a call back if this unclogging had not worked. I would highly recommend them!

As a result of a clogged drain on Sunday afternoon I contacted Sparkle (whom I had used several times previously) Monday morning. They told me they would work me into the schedule and called me at 1130 giving me enough time to arrive home to meet the representative. Although I had managed to clear the drain partially on Sunday evening I had Sparkle clean out the drain. As usual the representative was professional, cleaned up his mess and made sure that I knew that I could call for a follow-up visit should any loosened debris clog the drain over the next month.

Great - came promptly, analyzed and fixed the problem, cleaned up & along the way were friendly and helpful. Expressed their pride in doing a great job & gave advice avoiding the problem in future. Could not have asked for better!

A recently remodeled bathroom (in August); The shower drain and toilet backed up, which affected another bathroom above it and my kitchen sink and disposal. I was desperate, could not even use water in the kitchen. So I did not get estimate, just called the first Angie's List drain cleaning company, I was given "Joe" who solved the problems. So far so good, but it's been only 3 days.

Everything went fine. I've had problems with the main sewer backing up in the past, and this was preventative maintenance. He was able to feel that the sewer had a bad spot in it, and confirmed that it is a good idea to snake it out at least every 18 months. Very professional and answered all questions completely.

Scheduling was easy and quick. Sparkle arrived when scheduled and the technician was very professional and pleasant. The pipes are old and they cleared them successfully.

I was extremely pleased with them. Their responsive time was great, and their price was reasonable. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain what was wrong and how they were going to fix it. I also appreciated the tips that they gave me, so it wouldn't happen again.

Having read about the company's quick, friendly service, I called in search of a plumber. I told them I needed a toilet unstopped, the man on the phone said, "I'm not coming to Reston to auger a toilet." I said I'd make a note for other Angie's customers that he wouldn't do such work that far from his Falls Church headquarters. "Oh, I'm coming to Reston right now," he said." "How much will it cost to unstop my toilet? ``$250,'' he said.

I like Sparkle because they did not try to rip me off like most companies out there. They were very educational. They even suggested that I buy a snake and showed me how I can do it next time myself, although I will call them again if it happens again. They are just good honest people.

Based on prior Angie's List reviews, I called Larry on a Tuesday afternoon and he promised he could do the job the following day and that he would call me before he started the short trip to my house. The next morning, as promised, Larry called me when he was en route. He cleaned the drain, as requested, and also took a look in the basement to ensure that the pipes were in good shape. The job took a total of about 1/2 hour, and Larry left the bathroom spotless. Larry was very friendly and courteous, and I would highly recommend this family-owned and operated outfit to anyone. The sink now drains like it is new. Admittedly, I did not price this job out, so I am not certain whether $170 was a good price.

Excellent! Schedule a TIME, not a window, lots of education about the drains, a LIVE PERSON ALWAYS answers the phone, I will NEVER use another drain cleaning service again.

Larry came out the SAME DAY I called, and did a tremendous job. He was prompt, courteous, and very knowledgable, even going so far as to suggest some other solutions that would prevent us needing to call him in the future! He got our drain running as good as new, and fixing that took care of our slight flooding problem.

It went very well. The plumber and his helper were on time, their work was fast, efficient and effective, and they were personally pleasant to deal with.

We called Sparkle Drain Cleaning and explained the problem and we had Larry the service man at the house within 1 hour. He was very personable and informative. He explained the problem and further explained what he would do to fix it. It worked and he stated that if we had any problems within 2 weeks to just call the office and they will send him back to correct the problem.

Sparkle came out the same day we called and did a thorough job. They did not rush through the job. They provided detailed explanations of what they did and why. Instead of trying to sell us on a big repair, they advised us of other cheaper options to try first. They offered to return for free within thirty days if we had a repeat back up. These were good, honest folks.

Our bathtub drain has been extremely slow and my home remedies haven't worked. I finally called this company and a rep. came by the same day. Naturally, when he tried it, the water drained better than it has in months. He said he didn't think he could improve on matters (perhaps my home remedies had finally kicked in), and he wouldn't charge me for the service call. He also gave me really good advice for dealing with future problems, should they arise. I was very impressed with his responsiveness, friendliness, and knowledge and really appreciated not being charged for the service call.

Excellent. Recently our kitchen sink would not drain. When we tried to use the garbage disposal, it sprayed the water back up into the sink when it was shut down. In addition, water began to leak from under the dishwasher. We called Sparkle on a Saturday morning. Not only did they answer, they came that afternoon. They explained that the problem was probably due to the lack of use of the drain which was a result of our renovating our kitchen (thus leading to extended non-use). Not only were they prompt, efficient and cleaned up, they also showed us where we could support a pipe in the basement to prevent this from occurring in the future. They also guaranteed the work for 30 days, informing us they would return at no charge if work needed to be redone. We would absolutely use them again.

We had about a 45 minute conversation of the situation and told him that my tenant had snaked about 30 feet of the drain and we didn't think the problem was solved. I suspect he may have saved us several hundred dollars. Based on what this gentleman told me we had solved the problem ourselves and I was in good shape and I would not need his services. Larry was the fellow I spoke with.

When the water was draining out of the washing machine in the basement, we heard bubbling in the toilet on the same level. The room where the main sewer drain is started filling with dirty water and waste coming from the drain. I found Sparkle Drain Cleaning on the list and called about 8:30 in the morning. The gentleman answering the phone said he or his son would be here in the afternoon. They both came that afternoon and were here over an hour. The clog was so far out from the house that they had to snake all the way to the manhole cover. Not only were we pleased to have the problem fixed so promptly, but we note that both men were professional, yet friendly, and very helpful. They answered all of the ''sewer-related'' questions we asked, and they explained that the cost was more than a regular drain cleaning because they had to put an extra extension on the snake. I don't know what the ''regular price'' would be, but we were not uncomfortable with the cost.

I can't say enough about how pleased we were with the job done.

Our kitchen/laundry room drain backed up on a Saturday. We tried liquid drain opener with no luck. We gave up on Sunday and called Sparkle. The phone was answered immediately, and Larry arrived within the hour. The job was done in about 90 minutes. Larry showed us how the pipes run in our house and gave us some advice about keeping the drains clear. He was very polite and even put up with our dog.

Tony came on time, unplugged our sink and he did a great job. This was after my husband tried to do it himself (he is very handy), so it wasn't an easy job. The pipes in our house are apparently arranged in an unusual way. He was very professional. I would use this company again for sure.

Very pleasant, on time, efficient, charged what I felt was a reasonable price (he actually charged me $10 less than his quote on the phone). And, most importantly, my kitchen sink is operational!
