Going to Sislers was the worst experience I ever had dealing with buying anything every in the history of me buying things. I want to give F's across the board on them. I asked them a question about different types of stone and it was chaotic in there. I asked them if they had a cheaper option than flagstone and they told me they had pressed concrete that I could go look at in in the back of the lot. The back of the lot was a quarter mile. I was on my lunch break in work attire, wandering around without a single person to help me, finally I found it. I decided to go with the flagstone and when I came back in I had to wait in the line again, so I told them I was going to get the flagstone, I couldn't pick it up today because you have to put rock dust down for the walkway, $1000. There wasn't any additional information or help. I think it was a halfway decent deal, so I told them I needed the stone dust and to fill my truck up, so I pulled my truck around. I think they deal with contractors mostly that know how much wood and stone can fit in a particular truck. The man working there asked me how much I wanted and I told him to fill up my truck and the whole bed went down all the way to the ground, touching on the ground. So I pulled around and told them this seemed pretty unsafe, I didn't want to break my car. They told me it looked dangerous and to go back down there to get some stone taken out. I went back down there and they told me that I had to do it myself, in my work clothes I had to take a shovel and shovel the rock out myself. So I was standing there shoveling rocks out of the back of my truck on my lunch break about to hit somebody. It was the worst experience ever, and this was after I had given them $1000. I had to empty half the truck, dump the stone out, I went back in to pay for the stone dust, two separate transactions and there were ten people in line. They wouldn't just close out my ticket, so I just left. I have to go back to get the flagstone but after that I am never going back.

I took sample stones with me to make sure I got the correct replacements. I went into the office to find out what the procedure was since I was not buying in bulk. I was told to go to a specific part of the yard and someone in a red shirt would help me. I went to the place indicated and stood for about 15 minutes. Employees saw me and made no move to help. They just stood off to the other side of the yard and looked. Finally an employee came out of a nearby building and asked if I had been helped. He then proceeded to call over one of the men that had been just standing around. Unfortunately this employee did not speak English well and the process was not pleasant. After I got my stones he indicated I should drive over to a loading area. I did and he and another man took the stones out of my car, weighed them, and gave me a paper with the cost on it. After I got home I discovered they had included the sample stones I had taken with me. Prior to going to get weighed I told the man these were my stones and moved them to another part of my car. So aside from not enjoying my shopping experience I ended up paying for my own stock. I like Sislers, I think its great to have a place like this inside the Beltway. I don't like feeling uncomfortable and being charged too much because someone doesn't understand what I am saying.
Description of Work: I did not have a specific service performed. I went there to find replacement stones for my patio wall.
