Family owner and operated since 1959, Richards Heating & Air Conditioning Co. has been designing, installing and servicing residential air conditioning and heating systems in the Washington Metropolitan area. We install “total comfort conditioning” systems to meet the unique configurations of individual homes, recommending systems that fit each customer’s needs. At Richards, we are proud of our work and are dedicated to maintaining a reputation in the industry and the community as reliable experts. Richards is a fully licensed and insured mechanical, gas fitting, and electrical contractor. We qualify in the installation and service of all aspects of heating & air conditioning systems. Our service department also offer three levels of service agreements to meet your needs.

Description of Work: The Richards technician arrived as scheduled and did a thorough check of my HVAC system. He also answered my questions. The only reservation I had on the service was the advertised price of $49. The technician informed me that the $49 price only applied to trouble calls and not a routine service call such as mine. I would recommend that this distinction be clearly stated in future Angie's List ads.

Description of Work: Diagnosed a problem with the pilot light in my furnace and for good measure threw in a check-up while I was there for no additional cost. Service person was extremely pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and eager to help me understand the problem. Would use Richard's again in a second.

Description of Work: They came out for a routine air conditioning inspection and ended up only being able to perform a diagnostic. We were pleased with the representative that came out. He seems very honest and straight forward in his assessment with what was wrong with the unit. They provided reasonable quotes to us to fix the air conditioning unit. However, they also encouraged us to seek quotes through our home warranty program which we appreciated.
