Description of Work: The price of the initial visit through Angie's List was definitely a good price compared to the other companies I looked into. About have the cost of other companies. The tech did show up on time and assessed the problem in good amount of time. He didn't have the part with him and told me it would need to be ordered. He told me that someone would be in touch me to let me know the cost of the part and when it could be put in. I never heard back from them. I called them four days later to find out the information and then did not have them come back to install it (fan). I felt the cost was a little too high for just putting a motor fan in (it takes ONE screw to put it in). The cost of the fan online was around 80.00 and they planned to charge over 200.00 to put it on. I was able to do it myself in about 10 to 15 minutes. On time, good price for an estimate, and good in letting me know what the problem was.

Price was competitive, but I ended up going with a vendor I had used before to replace furnace. Would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: This was an annual maintenance on the air conditioning system. I also use Richard's to perform the annual maintenance on the heating system in the fall, so they come twice a year. I am very satisfied with their professionalism. They are not always able to make the appointed time, but they call if they cannot so we can set up another time. For this service call, they called to tell me they could not make it in the morning but could come in the afternoon, so it wasn't really an issue for me as I didn't have anything scheduled for the afternoon.

Description of Work: Furnace and water heater inspection and repair. I just moved into a new house and the water heater pilot was not on. They replaced the thermocouple and inspected and cleaned the rest of the system. They were on time, efficient, friendly and professional!

Description of Work: Our AC stopped working during a heat wave, and Richards responded quickly and provided us with service the day we called. The unit needed a shot of freon and is now working well. Richards installed our heating and AC units over 15 years ago, and we have regular annual heating and AC check-ups done by them. Since we hadn't yet had our regular AC checkup this year, that was done at the time of the repair. We were only charged for the price of the freon, saving us the extra cost of a separate service call. Our repairman arrived on time, was very professional, and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem.
