Fabulous!!

Mole Construction came recommended by a friend and the estimate came in the same as the other estimate we received to finish our basement. We chose Mole because we liked Manuel's personality, because both Mole and the other contractor were recommended by friends. Manuel is laid-back and patient, which my wife and I prefer because large projects our old house (1923) usually hit rough spots. Manuel's work was very good. The full bath he installed in our basement is probably the now the nicest bathroom in our house (the other two full baths were renovated 2 years ago). Manuel did the bathroom tile work himself and it looks amazing. His crew scraped and sealed our concrete basement floor high gloss brown, which was exactly the look my wife was going for. Everything else, drywall, carpentry, plumbing electrical, masonry work appears fine (i.e. it looks fine and functions). Manuel definitely subbed out the masonry and electrical work (I am certain about those two). The work took longer than expected and Manuel comped some paint work to make up for it. I would recommend Mole Construction and will strongly consider using their services in the future.

Estimator was at my home to estimate costs for about 4 to 5 projects, both interior and exterior. Took copious notes, took photos, etc. Promised an estimate and then never delivered. I left two phone messages and received no response. How do these companies stay in business?

As any work done on a 1908 house, many unforeseen issues may came up. We decided to, among many other things, substitute the old heating system for a new one in the middle of the winter. Unluckily it happen while the winter "votex" was swiping DC. On the top of it, my daughter was only 4 months while they were doing the work, so the level of stress was extremely high. But the contractor was there everyday, he never let us down, he did everything that was possible to finish as fast as possible. I can only say that this contractor is one of a kind. Really had to find somebody so committed. I highly recommend this contractor for any work you plan to do!

Manual's abilities appear limitless, and he brought in terrific employees and associates when necessary. Manual is a transparent, clear, concise, and frequent communicator that checked in with us often? it is difficult to explain the peace of mind that gave us. He has the mind and eye of a forensic scientist when identifying issues or challenges pertaining to the house, and the problem-solving talents of an engineer and artist. We feel we got a lot for our money. Our basement apartment was completed in a timely fashion. It looks marvelous, is currently occupied by a tenant, many of our friends have requested Manual's contact information, and we speak about him and recommend him on a daily basis.

I have worked with Manuel on three major projects over the past ten years or so. He had installed two kitchens for me as well as rebuilt a leak drainage system. This week, he is just finishing up the enclosing of a sunroom. Overall, I have nothing but great things to say. His prices are reasonable. His work is great. He listens and shows up and gives perfect advice. For instance, I had a few contractors bid on a kitchen job in my new house. Manuel was the only person who took the time to figure out the plumbing, which saved me a lot of money. I would absolutely work with Manuel again.

We've completed 3 projects with Mole Construction and have always been impressed by their outstanding work. Everything they've done for us has been beautifully and meticulously done. Manuel takes a lot of pride in his work as he should. He is extremely knowledgeable and his workmanship and attention to details is very impressive. They complete the work on time, are very pleasant to work with and extremely professional.The final product is always amazing and we're planning on working with them again on our kitchen remodeling.

When I approached Manuel, I was under an extremely tight deadline to complete the work. He assured me that he would be able to complete the project in the required amount of time and he and his team often worked 16+ hour days to make sure that they finished on time. They certainly did complete it on time and the work that they completed was absolutely flawless. He also was excellent about keeping me informed of their progress, what he needed from me, and how the overall project was going. Manuel and all of his crew were extremely professional and helpful. I am so grateful that I found a dependable company to help me with all of my construction needs (commercial and residential) in the future. His crew is always courteous, professional, and timely. I hired him initially after seeing his work at a friend's property and noting how clean the home was left after each day's work. There have been times when his crew has worked 16 hour days just to get something done on time. Living in an older home, there are often surprises behind the walls. Manuel has always come up with effective solutions to fix these problems. If there is ever a small problem or a tweak with the work that we notice later, he fixes it, no questions asked. We trust him in our home- even with a key home if no one is around to let the crew in. As a woman, I feel completely comfortable with his entire crew if I am working from home alone. During the deck remodel he identified a way to gain us (much needed!) extra square footage for storing firewood, potting soil, etc. out of sight. He is thoughtful and smart about the way he approaches renovations to ensure that the spaces are maximized and efficient. His costs are extremely competitive, and we have recommended him to everyone we know with full confidence that they will be happy with the work he does. We hear and see stories of shoddy renovation work all the time and are lucky to have never experienced any of these with Mole Construction Inc.

The work went really well. He made appropriate recommendations (regarding paint) as well as changes (returning flash to the "window" of the skylight) when requested. He kept the area clean at the end of each day and came did the work as scheduled.

Mole is fantastic! I gave Mole perfect scores on everything but price, because I know there are cheaper construction firms out there (hence the B), but I strongly believe that for the level of work he's very cheap. I asked 6 companies for estimates on the work, and his came in much lower than the others. I was initially concerned that this lower price would result in lower quality work, but was in no way the case. In addition to being incredibly professional and respectful of my space (I was living in my condo during the renovation), they did an absolutely amazing job! I'm in an 80 year old building so there is a lot of character (i.e. walls not entirely at 90 degree angles, slanted ceilings, plumbing and electrical coming out of unexpected places, etc.). As these quirks were discovered, the Mole team found creative solutions to make everything look perfect. In addition to being very good at the execution of the work, Manuel (who led the team) has an eye for design and attention to detail- knowing what will look right and was often able to suggest small changes to the plan which made a huge difference. As a first time homeowner, this was incredibly helpful. I have since had realtors and interior designers in and they too have been very impressed with the outcome. I have used Mole since for smaller jobs and continue to be impressed by the team and the work. I have recommended Mole to a number of friends who also have had fantastic experiences. For myself and my friends, Mole has seen issues other contractors missed in their inspections and has been able to come up with innovative, cost-effective solutions where other firms said there was no fix. Manuel and his team were truly wonderful to work with and I would recommend them to anyone!
