MAYTAG

Description of Work: I bought a brand new Maytag dishwasher, Model MDB8949SAM1, and paid extra to have unit delived crated into my home and there uncrated and set in place for install. Delivery wasoutside the initial 4 hour window, not made in manner I paid extra, and the unit was delieved damaged in a manner that unit is unrepairable. I am now two months after purchase, and still waiting for Maytag (now Whirlpool warrant repair). Unit was delived without a crate, and delivery personnel put unit betwen kitchen island and counter where it could not be opened or inspected thoroughly. When certified installer came that evening, he found unit had been dropped on rearl legs, bending frame so unit could not level, and bending washer tub so that door won't seal or open fully. Maytag/Whirlpool won't send replacement. Result, 4 lost days from work waiting for repair to inspect and attempt repiar, and Whirlpool refusing to extend warranty to begin from date unit will be repaired. Wish I had gone with Bosch or Sears/Kenmore. Whirlpool and Maytag just aren't worth it. Sad to see US companies destroy their brands like this.
