Description of Work: He did normal pest control activities. I had to take off from work to be home for our appointment. I was there the whole range of time scheduled and agreed but he never came. He called later to reschedule but my work has been tight. He told me he was outside our home but could not bring myself to believe him. His stance was that he was right and customer is wrong. My wife gave him another chance with no problem.

Description of Work: I have called them twice for estimates and both times they tried to upsell me and basically refused service unless I bought the additional services. I got the services I needed from different companies at half the price. They rubbed me completely the wrong way.

Description of Work: A technician came last year and quoted $1,000 for a Sentricon HD termite preventative treatment. Another technician came a couple of weeks ago and quoted almost $1,700 for the same treatment. 70% increase is outrageous! I spoke with the service manager and he budged a little but not much. After 17 plus years with this company.....I am taking my business elsewhere.

+ -1 moreHome Paramount s technicians were worthless. We often saw them open the tubes, scan the bar code on the lid, and replace the lid WITHOUT CHECKING FOR TERMITES. In other words, all we had were plastic tubes in the ground. When we complained, they assured us that tech would not come any more. But the next time they came, they did the same thing. We had to follow them around to be sure they properly checked. They never came at the time of the appointment, so we could only watch over them every couple months, and assume the other times were not properly inspected. One month, they got the idea to remove all the tubes. They eventually replaced them, but not without many calls. Then they stopped coming altogether. We went more than 6 months without an inspection. They d set the appointment but never show up 5 straight times! We even asked to have the service manager do the inspection, but he didn t show up either. We began to believe they were trying to drive Sentricon customers away.
Description of Work: To understand our complaint, one must understand the Sentricon system. Rather than spray poison around your home, the technician installs tubes filled with wood around the perimeter of the home. As termites forage, they find the wood and start to eat. The technician is supposed to inspect the wood monthly. When he finds termites, he replaces the wood with poison bait. The termites eat the bait, carry it back to the nest and soon wipe the colony out. The inspection is key. If he doesn t find termites, he never puts bait in the tubes and termites eat your home. As the Home Paramount salesman said, If they are not properly checked, all you have are plastic tubes in the ground. The problem with the poison barrier method is you never know if the barrier is intact or if termites can find a poison-free path inside. With Sentricon, you know the termites found your home because the technician finds them in the tubes, and know when they are gone because they are no longer in the tubes.

+ -1 moreSo far, so good. They said we would see ants for two weeks but I haven't seen one since they sprayed.
Description of Work: We had ants and couldn't determine where they we coming in. They sprayed inside and outside the house and will come back quarterly for a year to make sure new nests don't start. They did the estimate that day and came back two hours later to spray.
