This was a hard working crew of men. They worked non-stop for a day and 1/2 and cleaned up a few years of neglect. Brought the yard back into a manageable state again. My azaleas were hidden under so much ivy. It's good to see them again.

The mowing was really good, real nice job. We had wanted new beds dug out around a new patio and two downspouts diverted with buried drain pipes so that water would not be rushing through the beds. They only took out the sod and did not dig deep enough for the replacement of the soil/preemergent and angle the outside edge. Of course it was raining like crazy that week which was not pleasant for them to work in but when they finally added the topsoil (in the rain) it washed out the back of the property. They should have gotten it all done quicker and avoided the rain. The downspouts should have been diverted first and then the beds dug out, just common sense to me. Also, we requested to have a young 5ft magnolia tree planted. The guys removed the sod and dug a bit but said the gound was to hard. I ended up doing it by myself and it only took a bit over an hour. We would have paid for the downspouts, tree etc....

I found the company on Angie's List, called for an appointment for estimate. Lou Hein returned my call very quickly we set a date and time. Lou, his brother Rob, and another associate Owen arrived on time looked at the job and made a number of suggestions. A couple days later I received an estimate by e-mail. I accepted their proposal by e-mail and Lou and I exchanged messages setting a date. The original date was rescheduled due to the weather but they arrived on the reset date and went to work. Hall's workforce consists of the brothers and Owen who do all the work themselves except, they tell me, on very big jobs they add some part time workers. They certainly know their business and take pride in what they do. They did everything in the proposal and in addition they, on their own,edged my front lawn which really was in need, they found a bare spot in the lawn that was low, added soil, grass seed and fertilizer. The entire job took about a day and a half. They spent a lot of time cleaning up and hauled all the debris. They made a couple suggestins about things I could plant in the beds. I had called Hall's because I previously had another landscaper who I had hired to add fill and replace plantings that were lost when I had to have the foundation of my house excavated. I was not at all happy with the results of that job. When Hall's work was complete everything looked great and I was very happy with the result. These are really nice people to work with.

As always, the yard looks like a picture in a magaine when Rob gets done with it. We are very excited that this will be our first season with the fellows from Hall's providing long range lawn weed and feed treatment service (we switched from a company we had used for years after we had the guys from Hall's do the mowing work and saw the results!). Theirs is an environmentally friendly service which we had searched long and hard for -- leave it to Lou and Rob to come up with a great plan. The guys are super to work with and are always available to answer my amateur questions. If you have to pick and choose on what you spend your homeowner's money on, Hall's Landscaping should be at the top of your list! You will get your money's worth and more!

These guys are great. I called them to clean up a yard that was in bad shape. Lou gets back to you right away and is great at communicating via the phone or email. They sent me an estimate on email and gave me an Angie's List discount. They removed a huge pile of branches and bamboo, added some topsoil, raked all the leaves, and re-seeded the yard. They worked hard all day to get the job done. They also got rid of a huge, rotted tree trunk that was hidden away in the backyard that was not included in their bid. They did not charge me extra to remove it. Needless to say, my wife and I were very happy about that. I will definitely hire them again.

Absolutely the best service we have received from ANY home repair or landscaping company. So good, in fact, that we are hiring them to do more lawn work.

You could not ask for a better team than the staff at Hall's Landscaping. These gentlemen have the competition beat for professionalism, talent and value for the dollar. My husband and I have used both their landscaping services and their monthly mowing service (best prices out of a dozen estimates!). They are meticulous in their work and always arrive as scheduled. Do not let the word landscaping fool you -- their services are diverse -- they do ALL manners of landscaping services as well as gutter cleaning, power washing, general yard clean up and much more! We were especially grateful that they agreed to come out to the far side of Great Falls when others had turned us down for that reason. We could not recommend them enough!
