Really well -- the workers used excellent judgment and sense in pruning and cleaning everything up. (i.e. they knew to save my lenten rose and astilbe even though I forgot to tell them.) And the price was probably good too -- I am just always shocked by what things cost and always feel like I should do these kinds of chores myself. But Lou was extremely responsive given that this was a smallish job from a new customer -- he returned my emails promptly and gave me lots of advice when he did the quote. They came and did the work on a Sunday to fit me in, which I appreciated. And they also carted away some yard debris I had left from my own weeding and cleanout of our front yard, which was thoughtful of them. I really liked the crew as well. There is a reason to hire experts -- it would have taken my husband and me four times as long. Now I have my next couple of weekends back! I am definitely having Hall's back in the fall to do aeration and overseeding.

They did a great job. Lou was very responsive and even squeezed me in sooner than he thought he'd be able to. The guys turned my embarassingly overgrown yard into a beautiful garden.

Delivered written estimate in a timely manner. Crew arrived on-time and met expectations with their work. Would use again.

I originally found Hall's Landscaping on Angie's List 3 years ago, and have used them exclusively each year since then. The prices are very reasonable (especially when compared to other estimates I had received), the work is completed in a timely and professional manner. When I had to replace some plants put in years ago, I was given a variety of choices from shrubs to flowering plants, and was well advised on how to care for (and keep alive) the choices that I made. Hall's is on my "to-do" list each spring to have them come and get me ready for the year. I would recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping installation and/or maintenance!

Robert, Lauren, Milton & Daniel worked hard to get my list done. They were on time & did the job the same week they did the estimate. Here are all the things they did: - De-weed, edge, provide & spread mulch, front, side & back - Trim back all bushes - Remove fallen leaves & sticks/limbs - Pressure wash & seal deck & stairs. (after 3 years of neglect) - Replace 4-5 deck boards. - Clean leaves & muck out of pond (large 10 x 8 pond) - Fix wood part on a gate - Clean up & Haul away all job related Debris I used their Angie's List coupon for 10% off, so I paid $1600. I can't believe how good my yard, deck & pond looks! I will definitely use them again, every year, to maintain things.They had a lot of things to do & I am totally satisfied with the finished look of my outside space(s).

We have used Hall Bros since 2011 . They have consistently provided quality work with the overall result exactly as we desired. Their customer service is excellent, they return communications promptly with a desire to please the customer concerning the final result of the job. Our outside areas are much improved since we started using their service. I highly recommend this firm for your landscaping services. They will work with you to insure that you get the result that you desire.

They did an excellent job. They always promptly provide estimates and always stick exactly to their estimate. They always show up when they agree to. They respond promptly to emails. My yard looks fabulous.

Oh My Goodness! 3 guys worked all day and did a marvelous job. Since it was a bit late in the spring, they got down on their hands and knees to pull out debris then spread the mulch around our plantings that had already grown so tall. We will hire them again!

We are very happy with the whole process from quote/estimate to booking to the followup, all of which can be done on email which certainly makes it easy. Also when they accidentally weeded something that wasn't a weed, they fixed it right away. The guys are friendly and professional and the work is completed without much fuss.

We purchased our house in January and moved in March, so it wasn't until the full bloom of Spring that we realized just how much work was required on our corner lot yard, front and back. It had been beautifully landscaped at one time, but neglected in recent years as the previous owners grew less active. We selected Hall's Landscaping because of their close proximity and also their reviews on Angie's List. We were not disappointed. Their 3-man crew spent the better part of two full days on the job, working extremely hard all the time. They listened well to what we wanted and did a terrific job on all levels. They finished up the second day when it was raining and almost dark, so we didn't notice they had missed a couple of small items. When I contacted them the next day they were very amenable to coming back and did so very quickly. They were very considerate and left the property clean and tidy. It was good value for work performed. We plan to use them in the fall for another big yard clean up and leaf raking & bagging.

I contacted Hall's and asked if they could replace some old shrubs. Someone stopped by at the agreed upon time to review the job. I gave them a general idea of what I wanted and they sent me an email with some recommendations, which was very helpful. Even though they were very busy, they kept me on their schedule and were able to fit me in without a very long wait, even keeping in touch in the interim so I'd know they hadn't forgotten me. The workmen were prompt, courteous and did a beautiful job. I would gladly use them again.

Update: They did come out eventually, and the estimate went fine. I ended put not using them this year, but will consider them for future work. They did a decent job last year, and the crew were pleasant to work with. So I decided to use them again this year. Disappointingly, however, after numerous attempts, both emails and voicemails, they have yet to get back to me. I know this is a crazy time of year, but would still appreciate a quick line or phone call in response. Maybe it was realized that, after last year's major project, this year's assignment would be too small for them. This inconsistent behavior seems to suggest that only customers generating big profits deserve their attention and niceness.

The landscaping part went fine, they showed up on the day they were supposed to, removed the dead bushes, evened out the beds, planted new landscaping and aerated the lawn. They came back the next day to finish the landscaping job, which is when I paid them in full plus a tip because they blatantly stated "they accept tips". They came back on the third day to seed. However they only seeded the front yard, we were home and watched them only do the front yard. For approximately $1000 to grind some stumps, aerate, seed and fertilize, we expected them to actually seed and fertilize. I emailed them to come back out and finish the seeding, they apologized and said they'd be back on Saturday. We waited around all day and they never showed up. I checked back in with them, which is when they stated they did seed the backyard the first time and that is why they didn't show this Saturday. Why wouldn't they call/email us to tell us after they said they would be by the house? After I inquired again, they said they would come back and seed while we were home and would be in contact after it rained. Over a week has gone by and we still haven't heard from them. It's not like we are asking for much, except some grass seed that was part of $1000 job. With all the recent rain, the aerating in the backyard is worthless. We had asked for them to treat the lawn so grass would grow, but they did not suggest any pre-emergents or pH balancing and have not fertilized, or made any plans to fertilize. My recommendation - do not pay them in full until the job is completed in full. Seems like common sense but my initial take on them was that they were responsive and honest. The landscaping part was fine, but I wouldn't recommend them for any grass work.

As usualy, Lou and his employees did a wonderful job.

They got the job done quickly and left no mess behind (well, they didn't remember to clear their mess off the front porch, but all things considered, that wasn't a big deal). The plants they brought in were healthy and are doing fine. I would use them again and recommend them.

Very professional. Lou listened and had good suggestions. Work was done very neatly, and again, landscapers listened and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. They spent a lot of time carefully weeding. It was so nice dealing with Hall's after having so many other landscapers who used the one-size-fits-all approach of dumping large quantities of mulch on everything and whacking all the bushes with a chain saw.

Lou was great -- he responded right away to my inquiry. He asked if I'd like to have an in person consultation or just have him come by my property to size up the work I needed. We agreed for him to just stop by and give me an estimate based on the description of what I was looking for. He was spot-on with what I wanted and his estimate was within the range I expected for the work to be done. While it took a week or two for him to schedule the work (busy spring season!) his crew came out and did a great job. Lou followed up personally with an email to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I'll definitely keep Hall's Landscaping on my short-list for future work! Thanks Lou!

We are extremely pleased with the work performed by Hall's Landscaping. We have used Hall's previously for annual core aeration and were very happy with their professionalism and quality of their work. So this spring we decided to have them edge, weed, and mulch all of our flower beds. Lou came by and provided a free estimate within days of being contacted and scheduled the work within 2 weeks. The entire crew was very professional, thorough, and the end result exceeded our expectations.

"Lou" of Halls Landscaping was very accommodating in working out a time to view the property for needed work. His estimate was timely and detailed. I had trimming, weeding, mulching, and some new plants put in both the front and back yards. Lou was very helpful with suggested plantings since I needed to avoid voracious deer and rabbits. Was very pleased with his suggestions. Once I indicated that I was ready to proceed, the crew was there even earlier than estimated and the work was well done. I was given a 10% discount for being an Angie's List member, and when it was discovered that I qualified for an additional 5% due to my "seniority," Lou was willing to add some plantings, at my request, rather than refund monies. All in all, I'm very pleased and will use Hall's in the future.

This is our 3rd consecutive year booking Hall's Landscaping for mulching, weeding, trimming, etc. in the Spring, and we also hired them for leaf removal this past fall. We are extremely pleased with the quality of their work each and every time. They consistently provide excellent work, and they are a pleasure to work with. Our communication with them has been excellent, and they always perform the work in a timely manner.

Robert, Lauren, Matt and their crew from Hall's Landscaping did a great job with our landscaping from start to finish. We needed to get a pretty extensive spring clean up done on our house, and I got in touch with Hall's based on the positive reviews on Angie's List. Right from the start, I appreciated that they contacted me quickly to schedule an estimate after I sent a request, and once we decided to move forward they were very flexible with scheduling our work. They showed up on schedule, and the entire crew was professional and hard-working. All of the work was finished as promised, and they even did some extra work to make the yard look as nice as possible. Overall, I am very happy with the job that they did. Our yard looks great, and I will definitely use Robert and Lauren again for maintenance and future landscaping work. Highly recommend.

It went great. Hall's Landscaping showed up everyday. It took longer than we thought it was going to, but they completed more works than they initially would have to do and they did a great job with a great price.
