Overall the job went great. The quality of the work was an A for sure. I was very pleased with the finished product. I had already purchased the tiles and Richard was willing to pick up more for me when we realized we needed more than what we had. I really appreciated this. The only two areas I wasn't as pleased with were responsiveness to get the quote and work started and then clean up at the end of each day. Again, the shower looks phenomenal so I would still definitely hire Richard and his team again.

My husband and I were more than pleased with the work Richard and his crew. They did a fabulous job with the backsplash in our kitchen. We deferred to Richard with all our concerns, he is very knowledgeable. They cleaned up after the work was done. The price was right. We would highly recommend him and his crew. We first heard about Richard at Dulles Glass and Mirror where we were investigating glass shower enclosures for a planned bathroom remodel. Turns out that all the tile work in their showroom was done by Richard so we asked for his contact information and ended up hiring him to do the remodel. We couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. Richard and his crew get high marks for the quality of their workmanship, the speed at which they completed the project, and the professionalism they displayed each day of the job. All of this at a very competitive price compared to the other bids we received. We also found it refreshing that Richard is not someone who bids low and then tries to make up for it by charging exorbitant prices for changes. To the contrary, Richard showed great flexibility throughout the project and showed a real willingness to work with us when we wanted to change something and not treat it as an opportunity to increase his price. We initially hired Richard to remodel our master bath but were so pleased that we hired him again to remodel the main floor powder room and later to tile the backsplash in our kitchen. We highly recommend him for your home remodeling needs.

Richard was very responsive to my inquiry and came out to give us an estimate for redoing our master shower. My neighbor had also used him to redo their shower which is identical to ours. They were also happy with his work and had priced out several other contractors. We decided to use him since the estimate was reasonable and our neighbors had a good experience with Gutis Tile. He also worked within our budget as we did not want to remodel the entire bathroom at this time. We just had to provide the tile. Richard kept in touch with us and started as promised with their work. They worked every day (on time), were very neat and kept me apprised of their schedule. They cleaned up after their work every day to minimize the mess. I highly recommend Gutis Tile and would without a doubt use them again. We plan to have him back to redo the rest of the bathroom when our budget allows. Very nice and reliable contractor.

I am pleased to be the first reviewer for Gutis Tile whom I found quite by accident on Angie's List. Richard responded promptly to my phone call and came out that afternoon to give me an estimate. I explained what I wanted to do and showed him my tile sample from Lowe's. He suggested that I check out the Tile Shop in Springfield and am I glad I did -- very extensive and wonderful selection of tile. I chose a Travertine subway tile and pencils to complete the border. Richard suggested using cover plates made from the same travertine tile and I was able to purchase those at the Tile Shop as well. Installation went smoothly; workers were clean and neat. There was about 1/2" gap between the edge of the tile and the bottom of the kitchen cabinets and Richard fabricated some "pencils" from tile to close the gap -- came out very nicely and neater than applying a lot of grout there and easier than me running back to the Tile Shop for more pencils .
