I purchased the computers over the telephone from the BestBuy national number. I was told I could pick them up at the local store (Bailey's Crossroads). The telephone person took my name and credit card info so the purchase was completed prior to going to the store. I went to the store to pick them up and the customer service rep said my CC number did not match what showed in the system. They went ahead and gave the computers to me. When my son came home, he informed that his debit card had been charged for my computer purchase. My name is Michael, his is Micah. I put two and two together and knew that they had assumed I was Micah and used his debit card info that was in their database instead of the credit card number I gave them. I called the store 4 times and spoke with the floor manager 3 times. At first he informed me there was nothing he could do since the purchase was made over the phone. He then admitted that he would receive the funds from BB at the end of the month and that, in effect, the computers were purchased from his store. He finally said I could come in and have the charges transferred to my other card (the correct one). Although he advised calling the national BB # to get them to straighten it out. I called the national # twice, was routed to Customer Service and told by them there was nothing they could do, I would have to be forwarded to the telephone purchase people. They transferred me and I waited on hold for 15 minutes and no one picked up. I called the customer service rep and asked to speak with a supervisor. She informed me that there were no supervisors in CS and that I would again have to try to get through to phone purchase office. Over the last 10 years, I have purchased tens of thousands of dollars of BB items. I will not spend another dime in their stores. Their ability to fix a consumer's problem is awful. All they seem to do is apologize and tell you there is nothing they can do.

Very well. My data was saved by the technicians at Best Buy. They reformatted my hard drive and then copied my data back to the new drive.

Service person did not show up on scheduled day (last Wed., April 12 at 10:15 AM). Geek Squad operators had to re-schedule with a second person who showed up the next day. He (Brian) set up our network originally, and I felt like he gave us extra service due to his co-worker's absence the day before. My ratings reflect a mixture of 1)the day guy didn't show up and 2) the day Brian did show up.
Description of Work: Repair to current network (2 computers were not receiving internet service); repair to one desktop computer.

I PREVIOUSLY PAID $207 TO HAVE MY LAPTOP WARRANTED. I BROUGHT IT IN TO THE STORE FOR REPAIR AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE RETURNED BY 3/27. ON 4/22, I STILL DO NOT HAVE IT. I CALLED ON 3/27 TO CHECK ON IT AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE ANOTHER WEEK. WHENEVER I CALL THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE.
Description of Work: MY LAPTOP STOPPED WORKING. IT WOULD NOT TURN ON AND DID NOT RESPOND TO RECHARGING OR USE OF ELECTRIC CORD.
