Computer Service Center

I went to the Computer Service center in Vienna to have them check out my computer because it was slow. I brought it in to have them look at it and they recommended that I get rid of Vista and install Windows 7 to help with the issue and get a virus protection program. They said they would back up all my data and, install windows 7 and install Bit Defender and everything would work great. They gave me an estimate and I left my computer. When I returned to them to pick it up, they opened the computer and showed me what a great job they did. He even showed me the pirated copy of Bit Defender he installed that would be good for 45 years! I was skeptical to say the least. I went to pay the bill and they said it was going to be "a little more than expected" and charged me $95 more. I reluctantly paid the bill. When I got my computer home, I discovered that they had only backed up my pictures and everything else was GONE including hundreds of CD's that I had burned to my itunes backup. When I returned, they said that it was my fault for not backing it up before I got there even though they said they would do it for me! They made several attempts to recover the data, but the data they recovered was completely corrupted and unusable. I demanded my money back and they refused saying they were not responsible for my data. They even made up a lie saying that my credit card company had a policy that they would not do refunds of less than $199 (which I confirmed with them was untrue). They were rude (yelled at me using lots of cuss words), blamed me for their incompetence, and were totally dishonest. I would advise anyone needing computer service to stay away. These guys have not one once of customer service skills and will try to rip you off. I learned my lesson and will never go back. I recommend no one else make the same mistake I did.
