My son and his roommates noticed the garbage disposal was not working, then the dishwasher had pooled water in it leading to a leak in the ceiling in the downstairs bedroom. the landlord refused to fix the problem which only seemed to be getting worse by the day. On a Sunday morning, i looked for plumbers on Angie's List which had emergency hours (not all of them do) and found Chandler's Plumbing and Heating CO, which got an overall score of "A" across the board from previous customers. i called their after hours number and within 30 minutes Shawn, the plumber, called me and said he could be at the house within an hour and a half which worked great with our schedule. He was punctual, professional, and within seconds knew what the problem was. He quickly fixed the disposal, and in simple terms explained why the dishwasher had pooled water in it (due to the clogged disposal). He was friendly, courteous and incredibly helpful. I don't know what the regular charge would have been but i thought what we got charged was reasonable for "emergency" work. I have worked with plumbers in the past and always dread because i consistently feel k*** i get ripped off. I felt comfortable with the work that Shawn performed and know he quickly fixed our problem. If Shawn is representative of the other plumbers within this company, it is a gem. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again in an instant.

The faucet now shuts off without a slow leak. He was fast, efficient, and prompt. If we had more plumbing issues, we would call them again.

First plumber came and was unable to even diagnose the problem. Said that I would need a follow up call and charged $135 for no results. I have tried for two months to schedule a follow up appointment. Dispatch/call center is not pleasant to deal with and today told me that their diagnostic machinery is broken and she did not know when it would be fixed then hung up on me. I have decided to eat the service fee and call another plumber. Judging from the other reviews, they may do fine work, but I would not use them unless there was a very specific, well-defined job to be done.

Brad was able to fix a leak on an old faucet that other plumbers had told us couldn't be fixed. He was personable and had advice for how to save money on future repairs.

We have always had great experiences with Chandler's. We have used them for 15 years and never been disappointed! Our house sitter called us to let us know there was water dripping from ceiling. Chandler's was at the house within an hour and had it fixed. We had been extremely worried since we were out of the U.S. at the time. Also, their charges for services are extremely reasonable.

I don't have the bill yet which I need to rate price. BUT they offered me a discount b/c I had multiple properties that required work Chandler's Plumbing was exceptional! This was the BEST plumbing repair experience that I have ever had. They fixed the problems for which I called Able Plumbing who refused the job. (I had used Able Plumbing for 10 years.) The last experience with them was most unpleasant. see my rating for Able, who had been helpful up until the most recent visit. Their (ABLE) plumber was only interested in digging deep into my pockets, adding unnecessary costs and helping himself to my money. . However, Chandlers was a totally different experience! They were so very helpful and accommodating, to me, a property manager. #1. they offered me a property managers discount. I did not even have to ask #2) They rebuilt all of the faucets that were leaking or changed the washers on their own initiative and without my instructions, saving me the expense of replacing the faucets; #3. they did their best ot keep my costs at a minimun, #4) did not demand the installation of unnecessary shut of valves, installation of their hardware or unnecessary work, #5) they were exceptionally accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about Chandlers. Ask for Drew. He's very sharp, very experienced and accommodating A+ for Chandlers in all categories. The ladies in the officer are wonderful also! Wow! That was entirely pleasant! Thanks Angie's List for helping us find Chandler's Plumbing. We called this morning at 10 a.m. and Drue was here and done by 2 p.m. with our whole list of plumbing woes! It is so great when providers give you a window and actually show up on the early side of that window and call to let you know when they will be there. Now I can get on with the rest of my day! They charged exactly what they said they were going to charge and I also got a 10 percent discount for being an Angie's List customer. On Sunday evening we noticed a problem under our kitchen sink. Water was leaking from a drain and there were bits of food indicating a possible problem with the garbage disposal, a possible clogged drain, a hole in the drain, or both.. We began researching Angie's List re Small Appliance Repair services and Plumbing companies. Decided to call All American Appliance Service, Inc. an A rated Appliance repair company. ALL American's telephone operator was extremely helpful and honest. Any appliance problem they could fix, but since we were fairly certain we had a major leak and clog too, we'd save money in the long run by calling a plumber who did both. We asked for a recommendation and were provided with Chandler's Plumbing . Called to schedule an appointment and Chandler's sent a technician that day. (excellent phone service) Dave, our plumber, arrived promptly, quickly figured out what needed to be done,( broken trap, leaking tube, ..) Removed the broken parts and put in new ones. We were impressed with his skill, speed and knowledge. We will definitely use them again and will recommend this company to friends and neighbors.

Professional, competent, and efficient work, start to finish. The plumber found the leak behind the wall in a finished basement, removed the damaged section leading to an outdoor spigot, and inserted a new pipe. I appreciated the plumber's recommendations for drying out the water-damaged area and repairing the drywall. He also explained to us an additional winterization step that we obviously weren't aware of prior to the frozen pipe.

I called Chandler's plumbing and made an appointment for the following day. Brad called about 15 minutes before he arrived. He met with my husband, performed the work and gave my husband some pointers on toilet repair. He was prompt, professional and we feel the services where reasonably priced. We will use them in the future.

Two very professional installers showed up to install the new heatpump. They were early (which I was happy about). They proceeded to dismantle my old heatpump and remove it. The new unit was unboxed and installed with the addition of a raised platform pan with a shutoff switch that is triggered by the presence of liquid in the pan. This was suggested by the sales person when I contracted for the installation. The entire service went very smoothly and they were gone right after lunch. The unit has been operating flawlessly since then and I am very satisfied.

Regarding the new "split system" AC, Chandler's tested everything and located the problem: the main circuit board (the most expensive part of the entire system) was fried. Although Chandler's was not the company that had installed it, they went to bat for us with the manufacturer, to see if the warranty would be honored. Chandler's convinced the company to send a new component, and they installed it for us. They came to the house three time to diagnose this and get the problem taken care of. They saved us a huge amount of money by getting the manufacturer to send the replacement component for no cost. Chandler's only charge to us for this repair was their time for diagnosing the problem and a small fee for installing the new component. Regarding the old AC, they diagnosed that and found the wire that led to the internal "run" switch was burned and broken in two. The serviceman rewired the switch. The unit then worked, but after running it for a few hours, we found it was not cooling. The serviceman was quick to return to check the unit again when we called. He found another internal wire burned out, and it was more difficult to rewire. Still he was able to repair it, and the AC has been running fine ever since. The Chandler's servicemen were polite, professional, and very helpful to us in getting these two systems repaired. They saved us money by repairing the old AC compressor instead of recommending we replace it. And we really appreciate their effort to get manufacturer of the new system to honor the warranty. At the time these services were done, there were many others who had power outages and damaged AC's. Nevertheless, Chandler was very prompt to get to our home and get our AC's repaired. As everyone may recall, the weather was scorchingly hot at the time.

Our kitchen sink drain was clogged from dumping too much pasta into the disposal. I called Chandler's Plumbing. They had a man at the house in 45 minutes. He had to use an auger ("snake") to a length of 10 feet. He finished the job in twenty minutes, did a very good job of cleaning up, and charged what I thought was a very reasonable fee.

The technician was very thoughtful about calling me to tell me he was on his way to the entrance site so that I could meet him there. When he first looked at the faulty valve, he expressed doubt that a replacement could be found. Then he said that maybe he could fix it himself. He took it to his truck and worked on for a while, and this was outdoors on a bitter cold day. He reinstalled it in the lamp and it worked perfectly. I suspect that the other three lamps will eventually have the same problem and I will definitely call Chandler's again.

Called at 8:30 am and got a 1-5 pm appointment window (phone service was excellent). Plumber called at 12:55 to make sure I was home and arrived at 1 pm sharp. Came to my unit to assess the situation, got some tools from his truck, performed the work that I asked for, and billed me the minimum (half hour) even though he was here 40-45 minutes. Was clean, quick and organized. Answered some quick questions on replacing fixtures in the bathrooms, which I will definitely have them back to do very soon.

I had originally called Shreve-McGonegal to how much it would cost to snake my bathtub. I was told that they would not be able to give me a price until they came out and ascertained the problem. They told me there would be a $50 "dispatch charge" in addition to the charge for the work. A $50 discount certificate was provided on Angie's List, basically nullifying the dispatch charge. When the plumber arrived, he was no sooner in the door that he opened a notebook and told me it would cost me $250 to snake my drain. Shreve-McGonegal charges by the job, he said. I have never paid that much before for snaking and I promptly told him to leave. I called Chandler's Plumbing and they told me they charge by time. The bill included a $10 fee for gas, which is reasonable given the price of gas. My entire bill came to $150 with a 10% discount. That was $100 less than I would have paid with Shreve-McGonegal. The Chandler's plumber was efficient, polite, professional. Their dispatcher was great. I'm sticking with Chandler's!

Called them and they came the next day at the time they said. Checked and needed additional equipment. When, got it and returned to perform the work. They then came back a few days later when the problem came back. They didn't charge the full time for that visit since they had to come back, although it was not their fault the issue persisted. The house has old pipes and needed extra TLC.

I have never had any problems with Chsndlers. They show up on time and their work is top notch.
