They were on time and easy to work with. Moved the spigot to the garage based on their suggestion so it wouldn't freeze again. They did the job in under an hour and saved me some money which is greatly appreciated.

I noticed brown stains on the bottom of the shutoff cover. Called Chandler's. Tech came promptly and fixed the problem right away.

This is the second time that we've used Chandler's and we were very pleased with their service and professionalism on both occasions. We had just moved into a new house and discovered that there were no shutoffs to our outdoor faucets when we went to turn them off for the winter. We called Chandler's and they were able to have someone out the following business day which was a relief to us because we were concerned about the pipes freezing. The plumber that arrived was courteous, explained the work he planned to do, and worked quickly. When he was done, he went over exactly how the shutoffs operated and made sure that I understood. We had previously worked with Chandler's and had them install a new hot water heater at our previous house. I had called around to many companies and found the front office at Chandler's the most helpful of anyone that I talked with. They were able to provide a quote on the spot and were flexible about scheduling. We were very pleased with the service and they arranged to have it inspected by the county so we didn't have to handle that.

We received same day service, and of course they had the equipment in stock. They were timely (even early!), protected our floors with drop clothes and shoe covers, seemed to work efficiently, were pleasant and knowledgeable. They removed the old water heater and left the area neat. I think the price was average.

I have a Cape Cod home built in the 1930s with a finished mother in law suite in the basement. About 1.5 - 2 years ago, a musty smell was noticed in the basement, but when I installed a dehumidifier, that seemed to go away, so we didn't think anything more about it. However, a couple of weeks ago we noticed water coming in under the baseboards in the kitchenette downstairs. An issue with the french drain was ruled out, and we isolated the problem to the sink in the main kitchen upstairs. The issue quickly progressed to the point where every time water was run down the drain in the main kitchen, water would pour into the floor of the kitchenette below. Given that we were dealing with a finished basement that had tile on the floor and walls with both tile and 3/4" knotty pine, I needed to find someone that could properly diagnose the issue to minimize damage by ripping out wood and tile. I called over a dozen plumbing companies, hoping to find someone with a thermal imaging camera to pinpoint where the leak was. Unfortunately, I only found one company in the DC area that claimed to have that capability, but come to find out they actually didn't either (that was Plumber #1). However, when I spoke with the owner of Chandlers (Plumber #2), he told me that they have senior technicians that have a lot of experience dealing with older homes in the DC area, so I thought I would give them a try as well. When Plumber #1 came out, they were supposed to bring a thermal imaging camera, but all they had was a camera snake, that was not useful. They could not diagnose the source of the leak and wanted to start cutting into the wood wall, which I did not want to do unless we were clear on where the source of the problem was. Then Chandler (Plumber #2) came out and they went through a methodical diagnosis process. They started by pulling out the dishwasher upstairs to see if the leak was on the upper level and trailing down the wall to the lower level. They verified that the problem was not on the upper level, so they re-installed the dishwasher. BONUS: they noticed it was not installed correctly, so when they re-installed it, they fixed an issue with the door that had been annoying me ever since it was installed nearly 10 years ago! They were able to determine that the source of the leak was behind the kitchenette sink cabinet, and when we opened the wall behind the cabinet (which will remain hidden when patched), we discovered a serious problem: lots of mold and the drain line going down into the house foundation had completely broken off as well as the "Y" connection above. They were able to come up with a permanent solution that met VA code requirements but did not require breaking the floor tile or foundation. This literally saved me thousands of dollars! I still need to do cleanup (imagine dishwasher and garbage disposal contents leaking out of the broken drain over time), and I need to complete the mold remediation along with wall repair, but the leak itself is now fixed. All of the Chandler folks were efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I also appreciated that they wore shoe covers in the house (Plumber #1 tracked snow all over the place). While Chandler's hourly price may be a bit on the higher side, I am convinced that you get what you pay for, I appreciated the knowledgeable technician, and it ended up saving me money in the long run.

I called at 9:30 and they came out at around 1:45 on the same day and immediately fixed the leak in the dishwasher and the faucet. Amazing, excellent service. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them. Thank you!

Arrived on time, did the work well and quickly. Fixed the leak under the sink with a minimum of effort and did a nice job on the shower faucet replacement, which took more work than anticipated due to needing to open up wall to get to what they needed to to replace the whole unit.

I am not sure what happened. I travel and got back on Thursday evening late. Took the day off on Friday to be there when the people arrived. But they never arrived. I sat the entire day waiting for them to show. Do not understand what went wrong, but no one spoke to me or e-mailed me and I wasted a day of vacation. I won't seek their services again.

It was a pleasure dealing with Chandlers Plumbing & Heating Company. I got an estimate and appointment for the work quickly. The team that did the work showed up on time, completed the work with a minimal amount of drywall work and cleaned up afterwards. And the cost was less than 1/4 of the other estimate I had for the work. I was very happy with the entire experience from my initial phone call to the supervisor showing up while the work was being done. They are first on my list to call the next time I need a plumbing and/or heating company.

The kitchen drain was making a glugging noise and draining slowly. The service person arrived early after a phone call to make sure it was ok. Went straight to work after hearing the problem. He snaked the drain and the noise continued. He explained that no air vent seemed to be attached and suggested a diver air valve. He attached the air vent and the problem was resolved. All was done within an hour and a half. He didn't waste any time with small chit chat as the clock ticked--much appreciated. He left the work area clean, wore shoe covers in my house. Was very professional and knew just how to fix the problem. I had a "big name' company several weeks ago who wanted over $1200 to fix the same problem--they told me the garbage disposal would have to be removed and replaced with a new very expensive one and in addition said I needed other very costly items done to fix the problem. I will use Chandler again and recommend this company to my friends. Job well done!!

They fixed the problem that a "Big Name" firm charged me $400 for five months ago and didn't take the time or effort to identify the real cause (worn valve seats). Called and nice lady set up my appointment. Plumber called when he was on his way. He arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. After a quick trip back to the warehouse to get the needed pump, he was back removing the old one and installing new. Very nice, confident, skilled plumber. Very cautious about not making a mess. He did not mind me asking lots of questions about what he was doing. I checked online about the pump they used, it was top quality and the price was in line. Definitely calling this group back for my next plumbing need.

As far as know the work was down competently. The first visit they came out and charged me $250 but didn't do any work. They did come back a week later when I did have a real problem and then wanted to charge me another $250 but I refused to pay that and only paid them $150.

Chandler's answering service took a good message on a Saturday at 8 pm, someone called me back within 20 minutes, and was at my home on Monday morning after I made an appointment with the office first thing Monday (per the tech's recommendation, he suggested I deal with the issue on Monday to make sure it was resolved). Drew came out and fixed it and did a great job. Thank you!

Very well. Chad worked fast and efficiently. He gave us good advice and what we thought needed fixing really didn't, which he told us in all honesty. The other plumbing company we consulted was going to charge us over $200 for something that didn't need fixing in the first place!

I called on (this) Monday morning and was immediately scheduled for an appointment today, offered three separate windows of time. Shaun called within minutes of the start of the chosen timeframe, letting me know he was on his way, and interested to hear more detail of my issue. Upon arrival, Shaun was personable, but also professional and goal-minded. It was clear to me he had a high experience level, and appreciation for the cost ramifications related to the problem. I live in a condo and my downstairs neighbor let me know last night that there was water coming through her ceiling. I found a leak near my bathtub and I wasn't sure if this was an "emergency" or not, but didn't want to risk anything, so I called the emergency number. They paged a tech who called me back right away. Brad was super nice and asked me for details about the problem and told me that as long as I had the water turned off that I could wait until morning and he was pretty sure they could get a tech out bright & early for me. He stayed on the phone with me for at least 20 minutes and diagnosed the problem as a basic one - alleviating my fears. He said he'd set up my appointment for me - and he did! Chandler Plumbing called me at 8:30 when they opened and said someone would be out between 9:30 and 11:30 and, sure enough, a plumber showed up at 9:35. He also diagnosed the problem and matched what Brad had told me. It was fixed in about 15 minutes - and he even fixed my bathtub stopper while he was here! (It's been broken for 2 years.) And he gave me an estimate on installing a water line so I'll definitely be calling them again soon to set up an appointment. I forgot to ask for my 5% discount, but I don't even care since the service was so fabulous.

Very pleased! We called Chandler's Plumbing in a panic. The drains in the laundry room and mini-kitchen were backing up and overflowing in the basement. I cut the water to the house and immediately called plumbers. So disappointed with the plumbing company (highly rated on Angie's List) that we used the previous year who said they couldn't see us until 3 days later. I wish I could retract my nice review of them. My next call was to Chandler's Plumbing who said they would be there that afternoon. I believe Max showed up even before 1 p.m. He immediately figured out the problem and got to work on it. After he was finished clearing the pipe, I mentioned a smell coming from the guest bathroom. Someone had thrown up in the sink and the gross stuff was clogging the drain. What a good sport about cleaning out the gross drain. Thank you so much!! About a week later, there was still a strong smell from the guest bathroom. We thought it was sewer gas and called Chandler's Plumbing to fix it. The plumber looked everywhere for the source, but couldn't find it. He was so kind not to charge us for the visit. I'm hyper sensitive to smell and I finally figured out the guest sink drain was the source of the smell. After several treatments of baking soda and vinegar, the smell has finally gone away. I hope we don't have any other plumbing problems, but if we do, Chandler Plumbing is at the top of our list. Thank you.
