+ -1 moreHorrible wrong, He keep making up issues so the Arlington country come after 8 years to inspect .
Description of Work: I hired Marti Hernandez to build an addition to my home on 2007. Contract states that a 3.0 ton a/c unit would be install to maintain proper cooling and heating for the new build. I was quoted $11.500 which was paid in full. I noticed that the first floor would not never got enough ;a/c, well I let it go. This year the a/c unit give me a lot of problems, and what I found out that this scum installed a 2.5 vs the on on the contract a 3.0 tons. I went and confront Martir and this is what he said. He knowledge the problem, but he can not be responsible since I used the system for 7 years, this should be consider an update and I have quotes for $4200 and $3200 if needed to be replaced. I am taking my case to the Arlington court and have a judge to decide. He declared himself not guilty, He is not in the business 30 yeas as he states, he is a dishonest person, who take advantage of 1st time customers. If you have hired this individual make sure to ask for the receives and be sure to check the equipment. I will keep posted the outcome of the court.

+ 0 moreMartir Hernandez of Capitol Builders Group submitted a thorough, very reasonably priced bid to handle all the work. Checked with me when there were any problems (only a few) and sent pictures of the completed work. Very pleased with the quality of the work and the reasonable pricing. Martir was able to start work almost immediately and work was completed within two weeks. Definitely recommend Capitol Builders Group as an excellent, reliable company.
Description of Work: Needed quite a bit of modeling done and wanted a company with a class A license and A+ BBB rating. Work included interior repairs and painting all rooms, leveling outside wooden deck and screened porch and apply waterproofing, remove carpeting and sand and refinish hardwood floors throughout first floor of house, remove satellite dishes and repair roof, replace sinks/vanities and caulking in all bathrooms, repair door trim, repair gutters, and perform other misc repairs.

+ -1 moreOverall, they do a decent job, but Martir didn't do the one thing he promised off the bat. He said that as the General Contractor he'll handle everything to make sure the job's done smoothly. I had to leave work on numerous occasions to oversee their work, remind them of the things they had to fix, etc. I had given him my budget, and he said he could work with it. I was very clear on what I wanted done. Unfortunately, he ended up using a different cabinet supplier because he didn't think the original supplier could give me the quality I wanted. What's the point of a price quote if they'll end up using someone else that literally cost 2-3 times more. Don't get me wrong though...Martir is INCREIBLY nice, polite, and professional (except the times they were scheduled to come do something minor and cancelled without notifying me). His crew is full of very nice guys. He's always willing to go back to a job to fix something that wasn't done right- even if it was a year later.

+ -1 moreThe original kitchen remodel was done back in 2008, but I wanted to praise the company for coming to my aid when I discovered (6 years later!) a problem with the gas line to my stove. Martir had someone to my house within a day to correct the problem, free of charge. Obviously I would have preferred that the problem not have happened in the first place, but it's wonderful to work with people who are willing to put right a mistake. I highly recommend them.
