Very pleasant initial consultation over the phone. Showed up on time for the appointment. Neatly and quickly took care of our problem.

Company had car problems and was not able to keep my appointment. They could not find me a last minute replacement.

Our guy, Charles, arrived punctually, and took care of our locks promptly and competently for a very reasonable price. We had very specific requests on how we wanted the locks configured (same key for two of the locks, different key for another, etc), and he was able to accommodate all of our requests with ease. The whole process took him about an hour and a half.

The locksmith was on time, professional, and re-keyed the locks quickly. I didn't rate them on price, because I didn't have any other quotes and don't know what a locksmith is supposed to charge. $135 for 15 minutes of work sounds high, but again, I don't know what the going rate is and I recognize there's travel time involved. Overall, very happy with the job done.

They were easy to schedule, and all I had to do was describe what my doors looked like and tell them the brand name on my keys in order to get an estimate. They called ahead a day before to confirm the time. The day of the service, they were 15 minutes late, but I didnt mind since they called me about 30 min. ahead of time to tell me that the locksmith was running late after another appointment. The locksmith was courteous and professional, and completed all three doors in under half an hour.

Overall, a very positive experience. Our technician, Charles, was professional, engaging and offered alternatives to suggestions that were made regarding our service. He explored various options as far as types of locks, deadbolts,etc. in layman's terms to our satisfaction. He honored the ten percent Angie's List discount post billing as I neglected to do, well done. I would definitely use this service in the future should the need arise.

Terrific. That morning, it turned out the locksmith went to Woodbridge rather than Reston due to a miscommunication. At rush hour, he made the trek to Reston, very cheerful and also apologetic. Then his work was thorough and complete.

The locksmith (the owner's son and perhaps an owner as well) arrived punctually on April 7 and began work rekeying and replacing locks at the home that we had just purchased. When I inquired about a particular type of lock, he advised against it explaining that he carried it but that it was overkill for a residential property and comparatively more expensive than the one that ultimately installed. Due to the mis-alignment of the initial cut by the prior homeowner, one of the doors required a special unit which he did not have on his truck. He apologized and promised to return the following week at our convenience. Moreover,he declined to charge us for any of the work until he had completed the entire job. He showed up on time as scheduled and completed the job the following week at which time we paid him in full. Given the number of changes and hardware purchased, I am confident that we received incredible value, not to mention the professionalism of the installer and the respect he showed for our time and our home. Not only would I use Arlington Lock, Inc. again, but I heartily endorse them to anyone else in need of their services. By the way, we have since discovered that they are the company of choice for several surrounding municipalities as well as law enforcement entities -- I can think of no better endorsement than that.

Best experience from the inital to the service appointment. It was easy and convenient to make an appointment and Arlington Lock is prompt and professional.

They were on time, polite, professional, and very fast. It was an easy process from the first call to request work to the completion of the task. I would highly recommend them!

I needed to have extra copies of keys made - some for our home and others for a community center. The woman from the community center who lent me her keys said she'd found that copies of these keys turned out better if they were made by a professional locksmith instead of a chain store like Home Depot. Their shop is conveniently located on Route 7 near Seven Corners Shopping Center. As soon as I walked into the shop, one of the staff greeted me and asked how he could help me. I told him I needed to have copies of my keys made. I also told him the key to our sliding glass doors was sticking when we'd try to insert it, but worked fine once in the lock. He told me to spray a little WD-40 into the lock and the key should go in without sticking. He could have told me we needed a new lockset and I would have believed him, so I appreciated his honesty. It took less than 10 minutes to make my keys and I was on my way. Even though my needs were simple (and inexpensive), I was treated in a very courteous manner. When I got home, I tried the keys and they worked fine. I'll definitely use Arlington Lock, Inc. again and will recommend them to my friends.

I used Arlington Lock to change the locks in my house and was very pleased with the service provided. The person I spoke with to schedule the appointment was polite and knowledgeable, and the representative who came to change the locks was prompt, friendly and performed the work efficiently. I highly recommend using this company.

I called the locksmith in the morning, and we were able to find a time the same day for him to come over to change our locks and add a deadbolt. Charles showed up exactly when I requested -- 1:45 -- and was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He knew I had to leave my house at 3:30 and finished right before 3:30. I would recommend Arlington Lock without hesitation to anyone looking for an honest, competent locksmith.

Great company. Very responsive on the phone and set an appointment for the next morning with a 1-hour window. The locksmith himself called me at the beginning of the hour window to tell me he would be there in 10 minutes, which he was. He asked what I needed - I explained that I either needed a re-keying of the doorknob lock or I needed a new doorknob altogether. He looked and said I only needed a re-key - which was great, since it cost less and was quicker. No attempt to up-sell at all - just identified the work to be done and did it. He was in and out in 20 minutes - excellent work and at a reasonable price (I used the 10% discount for Angie's List members and it was only $113. All in all a perfect experience.

Emailed Mr. Barton several photos of the handsets and deadbolts in question. His son, Charles, passed by to take a look at the front door to see whether we could salvage the brass handle set and simply replace the door knob and he said that wouldn't be a problem. So I called his father back, scheduled it for the next day and Charles returned to do the job quickly, cleanly and very efficiently. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again should the need arise.

I called Arlington Lock Inc. based on Angie's List reviews and am very satisfied with the service provided. Charles rekeyed three exterior door locks to the same key and provided 8 copies of the key as requested. Charles arrived on time and worked efficiently to get the job done in less than an hour.

Great experience. Got an immediate call back Monday morning after my inquiry on Sunday. Charles came out today to complete the work. The deadbolt lock and door knob was installed quickly - he made sure I understood how to use the keyless entry system. He arrived on time and was professional and pleasant. No more lost keys!

Our front door knob was no longer engaging with our latch and the front door could not open. I called Arlington Lock and they explained to me that they could come today on an emergency call or that I could schedule a regular appointment for Monday. They explained the difference in price for both situations. I opted for the emergency service and they were very prompt to arrive within when they estimated; approximately an hour to hour and a half. The service tech assessed the situation and was able to disassemble and reassemble the hardware and get it functioning again. He explained to me what had happened with the lockset and how I could avoid similar problems in the future. Overall, a very positive experience. I will use them again!

This was the only place. The owner seemed to know a lot about my key actually. He told me the lock was older than I was. (Probably why chain stores that just copy keys aren't going to have it) Now--that's a locksmith. He seemed to know what he was looking at. The owner was courteous and fast. He said I can come back in a few days and he'll have more of the keys in stock if I needed any more made. They don't try to sell you more than you need. Prices seemed reasonable in the store.

They were great. I made the appointment on Friday and they showed up first things Saturday morning. The appointment was for 9:30 and the worker called at 9:25 to give me an update that he would be late. When he showed up, he was very courteous and friendly. He immediately went to work and was completed with all of the work in about 20 minutes. I would recommend to friends.

Serviceman was arrived at scheduled time. He started work on locks and discovered he did not have appropriate wrenches for these. Kept me informed and said he had to leave to go get the correct tools. He returned about an hour later and performed the job in a few minutes. I was worried I would be charged for time he was gone, but that was not the case. He was very courteous and informative. I would use this company again.

I emailed Arlington Lock photos of my front door. i explained that since i live in a CONDO that the replacement hardware on the outside (door handle and deadbolt) had to match the old hardware even though the hardware was quite old. Making the issue more complicated was that I wanted a different style and color on the inside of the door and that the door previously had hardware installed incorrectly (by the previous owners) making the situation more difficult, especially given that the door was steel. These folks were able to figure out exactly what I needed from my bad cell phone pictures. They ordered up everything and two days later they were at my home ready for the install on time. Everything was exactly what was needed. The outside hardware was perfect and the inside matched the other hardware in the home exactly. Everything works and the excellent installer was able to make additional keys on the spot. The price I paid was what was quoted. He took information about other hardware in the home in case we want to make any changes in the future. I'm not really sure how it could have gone better.

The company is family owned and very responsive. I have referred them to other neighbors and friends who have also been very satisfied with their service. In addition to locksmith services, I have used them to reproduce keys that cant be made by Home Depot or Lowes. Just this past Thursday my friend's front door lock broke, they called this service and were very pleased with the service and price.This after hours service cost $185.00 and took about an hour.

very positive - very professional - he knew how to fix the problem - i tried to instal a door lock myself and failed - locksmith came out and fixed my mistake. second time using this company and i find them to be honest and reasonable priced - and they do good work. Visits to the store also very positive.

I called Arlington Locksmiths about 9:30 today because I needed to re-key four locks. Someone answered the phone and was able to check the schedule of their locksmiths immediately. They scheduled someone to come out at noon and he showed up early, finishing the job by 12:30. I was amazed and pleased that they could do it so fast. The price was great, too!
