The actual install went well and the widows appear to be of good quality. The installers were on time and conscientious and did a great job...That being said, I was offended by the sales presentation. Seems to me if the product is good and the price reasonable, there is no reason to insist that a contract be signed on the spot in order to get the best possible price. I asked for 24 hours to think about it and was told if I didn't sign right then the price would be a couple hundred dollars more. Considering I was replacing 16 windows, I thought this was ridiculous. Unfortunately, I was working with a significant time constraint and needed the windows asap. Since they promised me delivery and installation within 2 weeks, I signed the contract...If I'd had more time I would not have used the company based on their sales tactics. It reminded me of a bad time share presentation.

My house finally does show a fresh start with brand new siding with insulation. I am really excited about what the installers have done and they really did a good job! The siding does make my house looks like a brand new and it was a great long term investment. The crew showed up on time and was very polite. They left no details untouched. They even notched around my existing deck and sealed up the siding accordingly. our house is more comfortable now and we can certainly feel the difference in energy and also how much quieter the house has become with the custom insulation. We are very pleased and would tell anyone else who wants a clean neat hassle free job, to go with Ameritech. They have become our household contractor of choice. This whole process started after we originally has Ameritech Install a Custom Sliding Glass Door in our kitchen. Since that project was incredibly smooth, we decided to have all the siding and trim work done as well and even the gutters.

Very efficient, installed them on time and took not long for them to install. People were very friendly and courteous. I just hired them to install a sliding glass door.

Very professional. Installation and clean up were very thorough. They were on time and explained the entire process. I highly recommend this company for any work on anyone's house.

The products were okay. The price was a little high. The window installation was fine, but the door installation wasn't done correctly initally. We had to go round & round with them to fix the door.

Originally my husband and I enjoyed the sales visit with Ameritech and decided to get a whole house of windows. The project manager was very informative and really took the time to take an active interest in our home and address our energy concerns as well. We also liked the fact that Ameritech would take the time every so often to check in with us and make sure that our windows were still functioning well and we were happy, its nice to get a courtesy call every so often. We were so pleased with the Installation and follow up service Ameritech gave that we decided to call them back when we had our kitchen remodel done to add in a window in a brick wall. Our kitchen contractor at the time was good and could have done the work but we felt safer and more comfortable going with Ameritech based on our prior experience plus Ameritech is a window specialist and my kitchen contractor was a kitchen specialist. I wouldn't go to a foot doctor if i really needed a knee doctor, right?!?!?! So why use a kitchen contractor when I really need a window specialist...... ;.) Overall we were happy and would use Ameritech again for any other work we need to have done.

Provider called when the custom-built window was built and set up the installation appointment. Provider arrived on time on the date promised, removed the old windows, and installed the new windows within the time frame promised. Provider cleaned up after themselves, and demonstrated how the new window worked.

Items in attic not installed properly. Had to come back to adjust door.

When they finally kept the appointment, the salesman came and spent over 2.5 hours with us, giving a really hard sell, explaining how this company was the best in the business, etc., but he would not leave a quote, or put anything in writing. When he finally left, he said he would send us the quote and additional information later in the week - that was over 3 weeks ago, and NOTHING! It was a complete waste of time. The company seems very disorganized, as they had difficulty locating my contact information, arranging for a time to meet,etc. When I called them on the 'no response' after the sales call, they had nothing to say - no explanation, no apology, no excuse, NOTHING! This experience was a total waste of time - avoid this company if you are interested in really getting something done!

The sales presentation was very well done. We were not prepared to say yes to a patio door, but were sold on the benefits and features of the product. We signed a contract in mid-May; the install was completed July 18, 2013.

Removal went fine. However, installation of new windows did not and the issues are still not resolved. "At your convenience" is but a phrase and has no meaning. At their convenience is the way it is and on their terms. Will Never Use Again!!

As a BJs customer, I was approached at the store and agreed to a free estimate for a new entry door. The estimator came on time and gave me a professional and complete presentation He informed me that they have a limited number of manufacturers that they deal with in order to keep prices low and only install steel (not fiberglass) entry doors. I was disappointed when we looked at the books and could not find the style of door unit I wanted -- a craftsman door and sidelights unit.. He researched what I wanted later and called me, but they don't work with suppliers who make this product. Nice man, but ultimately a waste of time to have the meeting. I also had him quote me a price for expanding a small window. His price was $4,000, about 20% higher than a second quote I received later.

We first used Ameritech to install new windows throughout the house. The service was tremendous and even minor issues with dealt with promptly and courteously. The windows not only make life easier, since they opened easily from the inside, but they look great. However, the really great thing was the immediate cost savings from reduced heating and cooling costs. I would say our costs were reduced by about 40 percent. An unforeseen consequence was how much quieter the house is. Outside noise just does not penetrate like it used to. Based on this experience, we asked Ameritech to give us an estimate on front and back outside doors. We went to the showroom and found exactly what we wanted for a terrific price. Again, the installation went smoothly and they have been very responsive to any issues we?ve had, even to the extent of replacing the glass on the French doors when it was determined that the wrong product was installed inadvertently. We?ve recently received a demonstration of a new product?insulation for the attic. I would advise anyone looking for improving their energy efficiency while maintaining a nice looking home to contact Ameritech. The combination of great products, exemplary service, and courteous representatives can?t be beat.

While the men were friendly, clean and efficient, the work took two weeks to complete. I live in a standard-sized interior townhouse. The weather seemed to be the reason, but there were times when this was a precautionary thing on their part due to a prediction of bad weather. The siding also included insulation. Plus, instead of using Tyvek house wrap to buffer in-between the house and the siding, Rain-Screen Wall was used. It is supposed to be more efficient with the ventilation and drainage than Tyvek. (This product is new to me, even though it has been around for more than 10 years.) Meanwhile, the color is lovely and I'm currently happy with the end work.

Initial installation appeared to go ok. Work crew was punctual and cleaned up pretty well after themselves. However, several issues arose after the initial installation (some of which still have not been resolved) that have been frustrating for us: (1) Storm door did not have requested U/V coating. Took months until it was finally corrected (2) Front storm door was installed improperly and had to be re-installed. THe door slammed shut and was so tight that it was difficult to open. The initial installers took the easy way out. Levon, the repairman, is great and fixed it for us. (3) Unless storm door is pushed closed when leaving house, it will not latch and thus blows around in a storm. This has caused the door to be dented when wind blows it into the railing on our porch. (While I can remember to push it closed, the mailman and my kids may not.) (4) door knob became loose after just a few months and scratched door, requiring another service call. (5) screen door handle fell off and had to be replaced. Required at least a dozen phone calls to get this taken care of. (6) The stained glass in the front door is falling out of place and looks awful. Ameritech said they'd repair/replace it but we're still waiting. In addition, I've been called by one of their sales guys on at least two occasions to purchase other services (they love to sell attic fans). Both times, I've told the salesman about the ongoing service issues and asked for his help. Both times, he quickly made excuses to get off the phone and did not even offer to follow-up on my behalf. If Ameritech really cared about its customers, this salesman would have taken ownership over my service problems and not have told me to "call Suzzy in the office and she can help you with that."

The exterior trim around the windows and home had begun to rot an d had to be replaced. They were arrived on time and kept all extra materials tidy in the yard. Each evening they would clear and put away everything to prevent any hazards. In addition I added a deck to my home. My only complaint was the coordination between them and the inspector. The inspector had to reschedule his visit to when I was home to gain access to the deck. Overall the workmanship was good and I was satisfied and would use them again.

- NEED TO IMPROVE CUSTOMER SERVICE: Requested an estimate for deck and sunroom. Expert came out to review options/take measurements and give estimate, however, they only like to give their estimates when both spouses available and can take 60-90 mins. Since my wife was not available we agreed to a follow-up. When I called for follow-up, after some confusion finding my work order, they finally agreed to send the same guy out with the final estimate. However, on the scheduled follow-up date, sent a new guy who had no knowledge nor estimates and wasn't aware someone had already been to the house. Can't imagine service would improve if we hired them. Makes my appreciate working with a smaller company where you can speak to one person and get clear/simple information.

Salesman came out to give me an estimate on some windows and sliding glass doors. From the beginning he insisted that I go with triple pane, composite windows - which made no sense in my townhouse. The price was outrageous and then when I said I needed to think about it for a while he dropped the price a little. I still wanted to think but he would not take no for an answer. He insisted that I get some of the work down and would not take no for an answer. I finally signed something to get the salesman to leave after almost 3 hours. I then called him later that day and cancelled. He then called me every day for a week saying oh now I have another option for you. Price was still outrageous and after a week of saying no he finally stopped calling me. Would never call this company again.

They were very good, very professional. They had different doors then what we had been looking at. We chose a different company because it was a different door then we wanted and the price was a little high. They were very good.

They were very punctual. It took a little longer to complete because there was a lot more rotted wood than they expected. They got it done though and they did it in a reasonable time. I liked their professionalism. They took the measurements and told me exactly what they could do for me. I am very pleased with the work they have done.

We were very impressed. They took their time and explained it to us. We haven't had any problems since they put it in. They did a really good job. We are planning to use them again.

One of the main reasons I used this company is because they are associated/recommended by BJ's. Took awhile to start the project. They had to call to ask me questions that I had already gone over with the original salesman and the guy that remeasured the windows . Then I had to call to find out when they would finally start. Most of the work was done the first day, but one window was the wrong size. They had to come back two or three times to complete the work (the first time they came back they didn't have the window). Price seems high and the company they use has high financing rate. I asked the installer to have a copy of the final papers I signed sent to me. I never received them. Then they've called twice, asking if I need other services.

Ameritech came to my house to give me an estimate on doors and windows. The project manager was very knowladgeable about the product and answered all my questions. Because of his presentation, I'm sure that the money I spent for a superior product was more than worth it. I decided to replace my sliding glass doors, which total 9 feet across. When the installers came they were on time, professional, and polite. They did a great job. They cleaned up after the installation, and even washed both sides of the 3 glass doors for me. This company is top notch and sells a top notch product.

My two front doors were wood and old and letting in heat and cold so I got metal doors from Ameritech and really like the look and especially the improvement in temperature at my front entrance.

The Ameritech sales representative spent the appropriate amount of time with us describing the product, the benefits of the product, the cost, and cost and pros and cons of competing products. He was transparent and honest and guided us to a mid level product based on our needs. The installation was efficient and of high quality and had minimal interference with our lives. The windows look great or much easier to open and close and to clean and we noticied a significant differnece in the comfort of the home during the summer and our electricity bill has also been reduced. We are very pleased with our investment and enjoyed the experience working with Ameritech. We would defintiely consider utilizing their services and products in the future for our home improvement needs. .
