I was trying to get an error corrected in their billing system that they created and they acknowledge that they created but it took them six months to get it fixed. Overall the internet seems to be up most of the time pretty good and the TV but their customer service is an F. I mean it was unbelievable that it took months and months and months to get this and every month I would call and spend an hour on the phone going through the whole thing over and over again. It was just such incompetence and it was unbelievable how much time they spent trying to correct the problem they created and acknowledge they created it, and all the man hours spent on my time and their time which should have been something could have been taken care of in a very few minutes. But the just past it off and the next month you get somebody else, you can't get a phone number, you have to call their 800 number and you always get a different person, never got the same person twice, wouldn't give out any phone number so that I could have a continuing dialogue with them. It was moist frustrating.

The service is fine, but it gets expensive. I have been trying to get rid of cable for years, but my husband does not want to give up the sports. I do everything I can to avoid calling. They give you a four hour window and that always annoyed me, but I guess that is standard. It is the only game in town and is hard to avoid.

I could upgrade the speed and stuff. Overall I grade them 'B'. They could lower their rate to get an 'A'. A lot of those channels I don't use and I like more variety but I watch the same channels all the time, they give about 300 channels or so and a lot of them are music. Apparently they have something where you can pick out certain channels that you want but they add a fee to it and it is like $49 more. I would say 'give us more variety and that is it'. It is nice to see 300 channels but if you use only 10. They also give so many sports channels and I am not into sports, 'give me something else'. I guess everybody is expensive. They do have good customer service. They are pretty good, you start out with a robot but then you get a real person, like I had to call in for the TV the other day about a month ago because it get blanking out. I called the robot and then I got a real person.

We set that up when we first moved in 26 years ago. I've never had to call them because the landline always works. That's one of the reasons we keep it. When the power goes out due to a thunderstorm or something like that, we still have a phone. We also have a wireless phone. That's also Verizon. That goes out. So, we don't have a phone at all, except for that one. We like that. I understand that the number of households with landline is rapidly decreasing and I don't know when we'll finally decide to go with the flow. But, at this point, we definitely plan to keep it. The pricing is average. I don't think they are overwhelmingly expensive. They've never failed us. I've never had a reason to test their responsiveness. They've been reliable for 26 years.

They are really outstandingly terrible. It must have been three or four years ago, I and wanted their services renewed. That's when we had the computer in a data cable line. We went wireless. When I called to get it done, the guy was up here for some other reason. He just the called the office and said, "There's nothing, just disconnect this other line." They said it was much easier if I had both lines in my names since one line was in my husband's name. I was okay with that, but then they cancelled the whole contract. They went through all the contracts and all the breaks that I was having in the first place were cut out. I wrote to them because it was very high. Anybody I would call would say they'd call back. I never got any satisfaction. Whenever I called them, he had to come back and tell the whole story all over again. I finally wound out. I kept deducting the amount of what the other charge was. Since I installed this number which was given to me some 30 years ago, they've had it unpublished. I can't cut them off. I wrote to them and we came to a conclusion and we paid it off. That must have been two years ago. The billing has never changed and it's still got the over billing on it. It still has the unlisted number and there is no kind of relief and now they charge me $5 a month for late fee payment. These people are a monopoly. I want to change it except that here, the rest are not any better so for now I am keeping them. That is terrible. I don't know how these people stay in business. When you call them, the music plays forever and there are a lot of ads going on. After that, you get a menu after menu after menu. I don't mind a certain amount of those but when it goes on and o it gets crazy. Who has time to write to them when they don't behave themselves.

It was great. So far, it’s working great. With Verizon, if I missed a show, I can watch it the next day on the demand. You don’t have to wait as much. I’ve never had any problems with them. They were on time when they did the installation just like what they promised so I don’t have to use them for anything else.

I dislike the fact that it is bundled. I would prefer an all account type system. It is a nit picky thing, but the battery on the home phone system had an issue with it, and I had difficulties getting help from them about it.

Verizon has been fine. I have no complaints with them. I’ve never needed any landline service. I have one little phone and it works. We already have Verizon when we moved here so it was not a problem for me.

I have been their customer for several years. They have their pluses and minuses. Their internet service is faster than the previous I had. They were very difficult with billing or if there were problems with billing, they were not responsive but Verizon has been a lot better that way. The quality of service is actually good but they are just expensive and no matter what you do, you end up paying a fortune for this stuff and there used to be a lot of competition and now there isn't. They have been very good when I have had a problem. They have kept their appointments, they have been prompt and they have fixed it, so they have been very responsive that way.

Verizon's Experience store seems like it's well run and efficient, which surprised me. After dealing with the support staff on the phone, I didn't know Verizon was capable of that. They updated my account and switched out the hardware and I was in and out of the store in under 10 minutes. It was much less of an ordeal than I'd imagined it would be.

Arrived on time. Very friendly. Spent a couple of hours with us. Downloaded Verizon in-home agent and showed us how to use it. Tested the entire system to make sure everything was working fine. Previously we had been with Cox (the only two providers in our area are Cox and Verizon). We have saved several hundred dollars per year by going with Verizon and I assume I will be a customer for years to come.
Description of Work: Converted the Fios system from my deceased husband's to my name. Was required to test the entire system as a part of this.

My overall experience with them has been horrible. My cable service is horrible and my phone service is horrible. When they hooked me up the first time, a few days later my cable was out and it took them another three weeks to get out here and fix it. The set-top box on the outside was bad and the guy looked at it, he knew it was bad, it was looking really bad, but he never replaced it.

I am not happy with their price. I used Verizon for the internet, TV, and phone. I have a high definition TV, they charged me after for that, and they have 5 boxes in the house. Each of those cost me $100 a year I just feel groudge. I am thinking about changing back to Cox which is the other cable provider might in my area. But I have not taken the time to investigate whether or not Cox will provide what I want and significantly reduced price. So, Cox and Verizon files are my choices here. Some of my neighbors have an addition in tennis, so, the figured dish or direct TV, I do not know about them. I have not really looked into that because I am a heavy user of the internet and I understand that satellite. The internet is pretty poor. My comment in Verizon is that I feel the prices are high. And I all these channels I have never watched and I am paying for him and that they package it, so, I cannot pick and chose what channels I want. And the other thing is I have high definition TV and the service is great, it is just the prices. The price and all the extra stuff, I do not want in their packaging system. I do not like. And I originally switched to frials because I used to use Cox and they were even more expensive and they were groudging. So, I have saved like $50 a month. I switched in from Cox to Verizon and I got the better quality and fiber optic service. But anyway, that is for complication does. It has been a while since I used Cox. I have been for Verizon for at least 2 years. Every once in a while, there is some sort of interruption. They are right on top of it. You have to wait for him. They are so automated now, it is hard if they seldom need become to my home. I am going to live in alternatives because I am paying $180 a month. It is pretty significant expense. I am paying $2000 a year. For something that we use to get for free over the airwaves. .

Relative to what I was getting, I think their customer service was usually wasn't excellent but it was good. There weren't usually any mess ups with installations. Things went smoothly. You just get a lot less for your money. They quality of the picture is good but I just fine that I got a lot less for my money. You get good customer service but you pay a lot more for what you get in terms of services. Generally, they were pretty responsive. Sometimes, you got to wait a little while on the line before you get to someone.

They keep trying to get me to switch from satellite TV to their cable. Everything that I have read said the quality of product is good, the service is lacking. That was my experience when they came out to switch to FIOS. The technician did not have the proper tool with him and after a week, it stopped working. It took me a week to get them to come out and fix it. I was without phone and internet for a week. I am in a bad service area for cell phones and I was trying to call them. I was very displeased with their service. They did finally send the same guy out with the proper tool and he fixed it and it has been working just fine ever since. I am reluctant to put all of my eggs into one basket.
