It was excellent. He was quick to respond and everything went well.

Let's start with the positive: Carlos was very responsive about coming to our house after a storm to see how we could protect our damaged roof from future rain. He was the only one of several contractors that would be able to do the work that day. I trusted him as a licensed contractor to use logic and good practice to do this job, however when I was sent a photo of the work I immediately thought it was questionable due to the fact that 1) screws were put straight through the roof to hold the tarp down and were NOT concealed under shingle tabs, or covered with tar or sand bags and 2) he did not cover where there was missing fascia board, leaving the attic exposed. I decided to let it go and trust that nothing would go wrong but that was a mistake. Two weeks later when it rained all day we got new water stains in the bedroom that did not exist before! The only source of these new leaks can be the screw holes towards the bottom of the roof. I did not come straight here to post this - I contacted Carlos to inform him of this and gave him the opportunity to rectify the situation. He did not even apologize, but simply said it was "the way to put the tart [sic] on". I've given it a couple of days, but now I am here posting this unfortunate review. I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this contractor.

I spoke with Mr. Camayo on Tuesday, June 6th. I told him what service I needed. We agreed on an appointment date of Wednesday, June 7th at 9:00 am. Mr. Camayo asked me where I was located. I told him I lived in the Temple Hills, MD area. I gave him my address and phone number. Mr. Camayo said this was a little far for him, but he would come. I told him I got his name from Angies List and that I was a member. I contacted Mr. Camayo because he has several positive reviews. When I initially spoke with Mr. Camayo, I didn't feel confident he really wanted the job, even though he said he would come. I took off from work for this appointment. Mr Camayo never showed up for our scheduled appointment, nor did he have the common courtesy to call me to offer an explanation and reschedule. My main concern is if he changed his mind about the appointment, why didn't he just call and cancel? I really don't appreciate losing time from work because Mr. Camayo, for whatever reason decided not to honor his appointment with me. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. I have connections with individuals with several rental properties, and businesses who are always looking for someone reliable and does good work. I was hoping I had found someone I could come to rely on for future work in my home, as well as business affiliations and friends. Since Mr. Camayo made the decision not to show up after committing to a scheduled appointment, I can't in good faith give him a stellar review. UPDATE 6-22-2017 This is in response to Mr. Camayo's response. Mr. Camayo did make an appointment with me. He took all of my information down, including my phone number. He kept repeating my information as well. He did say it was a little far, but said he would come anyway. He is not telling the entire truth. This tells me he can't even be honest when he has clearly done something wrong. This doesn't make up for him not showing up to my appointment. If he didn't want the job, all he had to say was it was too far and I would have accepted that but he didn't. Come on Mr. Camayo, just own up to what you did. You don't need to write an untruth just to cover up your negligence and unprofessionalism. The appointment was not kept.

He did a great job. Went straight to work and got it all done in 2 days.

I had talked to Carlos for another job, but went with someone else. This time I went with Carlos and glad that I did. He was able to come over on a Sunday and then start on Tuesday, however it was raining so he asked if we could move to Wednesday. He showed up early, matched the paint and went to get supplies, and had everything done by the end of the day. He even had to match the outdoor light and went to several stores to find one. Then it turned out to be defective so he took it back and got another one. Very dedicated. Things went well and he was very professional and easy to talk to. He had an assistant who did a great job as well. One of my neighbors cornered Carlos outside and asked him to come back for his repairs. I'm glad I called Carlos to handle the job.

Wonderful, great, excellent work, patch in drywall can't be seen. All work was done expertly and quickly (did take excessive breaks like others have). He arrived on time and went right to work, Love it. I would hire him again and will tell my neighbors to call him first. Very professional and cleaned up after jobs were complete.

I had a bunch of little things I needed done around the house. We're first time homeowners and aren't do it your self types. So we hired Carlos to get the job done right. He was professional, personable, and got the jobs done quickly. He was also very prompt in response when I had questions to plan the work. We will definitely hire him again when we need odd jobs done around the house that we can't do ourselves.

Do yourself a favor, and hire Carlos for your job. I utilized his services previously and couldn't be happier. Highly recommend for any home project. Took care of my home, kept it clean, and high attention to detail

Carlos gave me a reasonable fair priced estimate for the work to be done. He came on time and finished the work in a professional manner. I am very pleased with his quality of workmanship and his attention to detail. I would definitely hire him again. I have even already recommended him to some friends who need a few things taken care of around the house.

Carlos did an outstanding job. I had previous contacted the company that installed the deck, but they (Deckscapes of Virginia) said they don't do deck repairs unless it is under warranty, that there was not enough money to be made. I then contacted a couple of other deck companies and pretty much received the same answer. After doing more research on Angie's List, I saw the ad for Carlos Camayo. All his reviews were great and I sent him a message. He wasted no time in giving me a call to schedule an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable. He showed up promptly for the estimate and day of the work being performed. He even fixed some problems that Deckscapes had done, and showed me some other problems where it looks like Deckscapes cut some corners. All in all, his work was outstanding, I could not have found a better person to fix the deck.

Perfect!!! Carlos was punctual, professional and demonstrated his expertise in carrying out the project that I asked him to repair. If you want the best, then you must hire Carlos. He will not disappoint you.

We first contacted Carlos through Angies's List to come out and look at the damage to the house and give us an estimate. He did this promptly. He took his time assessing the work to be done, taking pictures, and answering my questions. Carlos submitted his proposal within a couple of days and after talking with two other contractors, we had a good feeling about Carlos. Also, his reviews on Angie's List were very good. When the day came to do the work, Carlos and his assistant arrived exactly on time. You can tell a lot about a handyman by the way his truck is organized and Carlos's truck had a place for everything. To us this shows a pride in workmanship which turned out to hold true. Carlos came prepared for the job - he knew we were not interested in a bandaid fix but wanted to get out the rot which meant pulling away deck boards and replacing plywood and shingles and painting the shingles. This he did with great care. We were so happy with the results that we asked him to look at some ceramic tiles in the kitchen that need replacing so we definitely intend to hire him again. He is very easy to work with and has the great attention to detail that gives homeowners comfort that the job is done right.

Carlos did a great job finding siding that matched my current siding and replacing the damaged pieces.

Carlos was top notch. On time, reliable and the work was perfect. I cannot distinguish were the repair was done and it was a very big hole . Perfect match. Very professional. He is my go to for all the future house work.

The job was completed in less time than I thought and the results were excellent. Carlos is friendly, accurate, fast and super responsive. He is also clean and left everything in great shape when he left. I also liked that he included the materials in his estimate and likes to use high quality products. Our front door had gotten stuck. For about a week, it was very hard to get into the house. I couldn't figure out where the problem was. I called Carlos, and he came by that afternoon. He took a look, and within five minutes, he fixed the problem. I wish I had called him sooner. I'm happy with the service.

Carlos was very professional and easy to work with. He wasn't interested in shortcuts, but instead wanted to make sure the job was properly done and would last for the long term. Background story: After I put a makeshift cover on my first floor dryer vent, the birds decided to move into the second floor bathroom exhaust vent. I called around Saturday afternoon looking for someone who could help, since I don't have a 20 ft ladder, and Carlos and an assistant made themselves available early Sunday morning to do the work. (He preferred not to come Saturday afternoon because he was doing something with his family, God bless him.) He charged me his minimum, which is $75, which I found to be very reasonable under the circumstances. I'm sure I will hire Carlos again in the future.

Carlos removed the original plaster ceiling in my row house (roughly 200 SF). It took him and his two guys about half a day to complete the job. Given how messy the project could have been, his guys took great care in making sure my plastic wall was completely sealed (and even added more plastic w/o being asked). all the nails and metal lathe was removed from the joists and is ready to be hung in drywall once the lighting and duct work is complete. This was my third experience with Carlos, and he continues to be a pleasure to do business with.

Carlos was able to perform some demolition work on my kitchen project with one day turnaround. I texted him on Sunday afternoon, and he was at my house first thing Monday morning to take care of it. I needed the work done quickly before some floor refinishing was being performed, so AGAIN, Carlos was the man to call. Reliable, clean and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Carlos came the same day we called him the first time we used him, which was for a similar issue in our guest bathroom. However, in our master bathroom I attempted the repair myself but was unable to eliminate the dripping. We called Carlos and he was happy to come out and inspect my work. He came the next day and successfully diagnosed the problem (valve stems not screwed in tight enough). He corrected the problem and only charged us $50 for his time (about 1.5 hours, plus travel to/from). When we noticed the drip started up again a few days later, he came out and tightened the valves even more at no charge. When my wife then decided after a week that the valves were now too tight and she couldn't turn the water off and on without great effort, Carlos came back out within a day of our calling and worked his magic. Voila the valves don't leak and the faucet handles turn easily to start and stop the flow of water. We were very satisfied with the work, his responsiveness, and his standing behind his previous repairs. In the end, we tipped him $200 for his time and trouble. But he never demanded additional payments from us for the return visits. Upon final review, we are very satisfied with the work and would gladly call upon Carlos again for future handyman needs.

I am redesigning my kitchen, and needed someone who could carefully disassemble my existing kitchen in preparation for a new hardwood floor to be installed. Carlos and his two guys could not have been better. They were able to remove and salvage all of my cabinets (so I cold re-purpose them in a future workshop). He also was able to cut a large slab out of the old granite counter top to use as a future table on my patio. His crew was extremely clean. They protected the area with plastic, and well as the floor with drop cloths. They even removed/replaced the handrail going down to the basement so they wouldn't damage it with the large appliances and cabinets they were moving down there. Since I had unexpected surgery, I was unable to perform this work myself, and was looking for someone who could take care of the work, while treating my house as though it was their own. Carlos and his guys did not disappoint. As my project continues, I look forward to finding was to utilize them again. Highly recommend.
