Steadfast did an extremely high quality job building our deck and fence, despite it being a small job for them. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the outcome and neighbors are still commenting on how much they love the change 2 months after construction was completed. The reason for the "C" rating in responsiveness was due to our sales rep. We signed the contract with a few open questions in order to get in their backlog and were told that we had plenty of time to make up our minds on 1) exact color and brand of deck material 2) Exact style of fence 3) a handful of small stylistic items. But once the contract was signed, our rep wouldn't return a call or answer an email when I tried to resolve. When I received a call to start work on the project I informed them that I was pretty unhappy and wouldn't start with open questions outstanding. Kenny (the owner) got involved, apologized and we got everything settled in a day. From there on out, they were an absolute pleasure to work with. Kenny was responsive and Grover and his crew did an amazing job, answered all questions and finished the job in his originally quoted time frame. I would hire steadfast again in a heartbeat, but I would ask for a different sales rep.

Other than starting 2 months later than planned (not the fault of Steadfast), the craftsmanship is absolutely first rate! We looked at 5 separate companies and were referred to Steadfast because of quality of work; my wife and I are so very glad chose Steadfast ... we'd do it again without hesitation!

It was a great experience - top notch. We wish all companies and contractors worked the way Steadfast does. From the office contact, the rep who showed us the window products, to the contractors who worked for 3 days on our project, we were very impressed. If we had another project, we would certainly contact Steadfast.

We were thrilled with the finished project. One carpenter did the entire job himself, start to finish. This was his one and only project, he wasn't distracted with other jobs, just focused on ours. Great craftsmanship, very happy with the quality of the work. We did have a couple of issues with the initial salesman - a salesman is a salesman, do your own research before relying on a salesman.

Design consultation went extremely well and lasted something like 2 hours; we were excited to see the resulting design and cost plan. Unfortunately, we waited for almost two months for our design to be provided. I reached out to the company twice asking for an update on our plan; turns out our design/plan was sent to a different customer. No problem as once the cause was identified the plan was quickly sent our way. Once we did receive the design, however, we felt that something was clearly missed; the dimensions for our to-be deck, which was meant to be smaller than our current deck of ~600 sq. ft total, came in at a wild 1,200 sq. ft. The estimated cost of the new deck, railings, etc. came in over 3x other quotes. I still wonder if we were actually looking at someone else's estimate. At this point I decided it was not worth pursuing further. It's too bad because the sales person was really nice to work with and I was interested in working with a contractor that could tackle adjacent projects (new patio door, for example).

They never responded to my request.

I purchase the $69 sunroom consultation with drawings. They showed up and measured and provided a quote. The quote was nothing more than other companies had provided for free. When I responded that the package was supposed to include 3D images, they sent me a basic drawing that showed an outline of what they planned to build. After getting other quotes, and a slightly different idea/plan with steps on the opposite side, I asked them to update the quote (not the drawings) so I could compare to the other quotes for the same project and make a decision. They didn’t respond until the following week when we had already accepted a contract with a different company. Their quote was comparable in price but we went with the other company because they seemed to have more vision for the project and were more responsive. I would hire them again for a future project, but would not purchase the “consultation deal” again.

Earlier this year we wanted to have a full length deck built on the back of our house with an enclosed sunroom. Whether it's for vacation travel or big home projects like this I'm someone who likes to do his research and after reviewing AngiesList, Steadfast was among the few firms with the best reviews. I can say today that those reviews are well-deserved. We received estimates from several other contractors and Steadfast was not only competitively priced but they were both responsive and worked with us closely on developing out a good design. They were especially helpful in working with the County on our behalf given that we had both a sewer line and a flood plain easement in our backyard to contend with and therefore some frustrating red tape to cut thru. Once we had the permit in hand their crew got to work almost immediately and worked straight thru for several weeks to build a beautiful deck and enclosed porch with skylights on our house. We've since received a number of compliments from friends on the high end finishes and nice touches that they added to it. I'm always wary about dealing with contractors for virtually anything but would give Jack, Kenny and their team an unqualified recommendation for anyone else who is looking to have a deck put on their house.

Steadfast Construction provides the utmost deck service! I worked with Miguel Nogales who came out to our house and said the bones of the 2 decks were in great shape and did not need replacing, unlike the other 2 deck companies who tried to sell us brand new decks and cost over $50,000. He showed us his design and gave us a discount for being an Angie's member. The price was great! Three gentlemen came out several weeks later and in four days both decks were done. The work was impeccable!!!!! It was better than I had imagined!!!! I highly recommend this company, Steadfast Construction, for all your building needs. They are honest, polite, very through in cleaning up the area and will assist you with any questions or concerns you may have after they deliver your product. Love my new screened in Porch and Deck! Steadfast did an amazing job- delivered on time and on budget! Great team to work with - form the back office to the builder. Nelson was amazing- he showed up every day and got it done in the time they said they would. High quality and attention to detail. . Highly recommend this company!

Presented plans for a new replacement deck which is not what I was looking for.

Their customer service was top notch, always calling to respond to an email or text. Their construction team was fabulous and the quality of workmanship was excellent. They were willing to answer all our questions and work with us to make our porch exactly what we wanted. Their price was comparable to two other estimates we received, and we are very happy we chose Steadfast. I would absolutely recommend them for your porch and deck work!!!

It took about 3 weeks before we received our estimate. Miguel responded to emails stating he was behind. The spring season is very competitive for contracting prices. The free estimates we received were delivered in about 3-5 days. We contracted with a free estimate company to do our $50K project. Good luck with this company, they may be too busy to do your job.

Terrific; everyone was professional, courteous, efficient, helpful and easy to work with. We would use them again in a minute. There were no cost overruns or delays, and everything was done on time.

Total waste of time. I usually have good luck with Angie's List.

I am a real procrastinator for writing reviews, but I did not want to skip this one. We had a new deck put in last fall (Oct 2016) and I can't say enough about the quality and crew who did the work. The construction crew were hard working professionals, always on time and continuously working throughout the day to complete the project.-- not to mention, very pleasant guys, thank you Rene and Rudy! I'm pretty particular when it comes to finish and detail and they really met my standards. Most of all, I truly appreciated how respectful they were about asking and validating the design before they moved on to the next phase. Sometimes 2D designs on paper don't translate well to another person's vision. So this type of collaboration goes a long way in keeping a customer happy. Jack - your entire staff and Paver team, led by Joel are all phenomenal and talented group of people. We are always getting compliments on the deck by neighbors, relatives and even other vendors who do landscape and HVAC work for us.

Service was fabulous! They were just wonderful and went above and beyond.

Project went extremely well overall, however we had to overcome a number of issues identified during tear down of the old deck. This was not caused by Steadfast but rather the construction of the existing deck. It turned out that the prior deck on my house was not permitted, and a number of shortcuts were used that caused massive rot on the exterior facing wood joist to which the deck attaches. The crew identified these issues and we re-planned the project to address those issues and replace all rotted wood, as well as taking the opportunity to replace most of the structural framing, which we had not originally intended (joists, ledger board, etc). Steadfast worked with us in order to minimize the increased cost while not taking any shortcuts, and did an excellent job. They are very interested in making sure the customer is happy and making sure the construction was done correctly for the long term. Once we got past those unexpected issues the project was smooth and fast. Overall the finished deck looks fantastic. Communication throughout was good. The work crew and managers excellent. Quality of the finished product is excellent. I highly recommend the company for deck or related work and I'm sure they do great work on other projects as well.

The company representative, Miguel, was knowledgeable and helpful throughout. We had no problems with the completed patio. However, the team that constructed the new deck and screened porch did what we consider shabby work. The beams, rails, posts, etc. were connected haphazardly, the team failed to erase the stamps on the wood as promised, and the area around the deck was not cleaned up as much as it should have been. Some problems were corrected after the punch list, but others could not be fixed after the fact.

Matt did great job! Glad we went with the Trex instead of the wood.

Unfortunately, they don't so deck staining, but instead of ignoring my inquiry, they got back to me and recommended a service that does and even a product to use. Great customer care, even for a non-customer!

The deck came out better than I expected. The craftsmanship is excellent; the construction took much longer than estimated, but we are very happy with the deck.

I decided not to have them do the work, because what I wanted done for the price was bigger than what they gave in their plans. I had told them about the size of what I was expecting, so what they gave me wasn't acceptable. They did do what they said they would do for my $49, but they couldn't satisfy my needs and should have told me they couldn't.
