Description of Work: We asked for a representative to come and give us an estimate for our porch. They didn't answer our email or give a return phone call as requested.

Description of Work: They came out and provided an estimate and schematic drawings for a new deck. We have not chosen the contractor yet - and they are still in the running. Josh was very nice and knowledgable - their estimate seemed a bit high to us - but we're still deciding. |

Description of Work: Steadfast completed a redecking project for us, using composite materials to replace floorboards and rails, rebuilt our steps and built a new gate. They also installed lighting for the deck. I would give them an A-. We had some issues with communication from the company after signing the contract, but once we let the construction manager know about the issue he responded appropriately and ensured that our project was completed. We had a small problem with the new lighting, (didn't work), and the CM immediately sent out an electrician who resolved the issues. Our deck looks good although we are waiting to resolve an issue with the platform at the bottom of the steps. We are generally pleased with the work done by Steadfast.

Description of Work: The guy came out late. He came to the wrong house and eventually did stop by. What I was looking for was a unconventional deck that was not connected to my house. It would be on a sloped area of my backyard and make that part of the sloped backyard useful. He seemed very unwilling to listen to or even consider such a job. He took all of the measurements and left. He called several days later and said that their company was not interested in doing such a job and refused to do the 3D CAD drawings. I would def NOT recommend this company to anyone.

Description of Work: Truthfully, I was not impressed with Steadfast. I made an appointment to have come out to give me an estimate to convert part of my deck to a screened-in porch, as well as do some work in my basement. The gentleman showed up, said he was there for a deck, looked around, said, "that can't be done, no, that can't be done". He took no measurements, did only a cursory look and was off. Said he would run it by his manager and give me a call on Monday. Note, I had two other contractors come out, neither of which said what we wanted to do was not possible. In fact, one said, it was quite simple (Home Design Elements, another Angie's List company). On Monday, Steadfast called, said they could do it, but only with a flat roof. Again, not what the others said. Mind you, Steadfast is the only company at that point that I'd actually paid to have an estimate and drawings done. The others had not, and still have not requested any payment. Steadfast said they would send pictures of flat roof options, which never arrived. I called, they said they'd send again, and still nothing. I eventually called back, about a week later and said, forget it, and asked for a refund. If these guys have achieved your Super Service Award, I am now pretty leary, or they just did not like me. Their service was not satisfactory, particularly given that they were charging for the service.

Description of Work: They build a ground level 14x12 foot deck floored with Trex; including five steps from leading down from the back of the townhouse. The look and quality of the work was very nice. Problem was that out of 5 steps, 4 were at 8" and 1 was at 7". They corrected this right away which was great. Second issue was that the deck was supposed to be 14' wide and 12' deep. They built it 12' wide by 14' deep. They offered to rebuild the deck - but we settled on a discounted price as a reasonable compromise for all parties. There were no arguments or strong arm tactics - very professional company. Things happen no matter how good a company is - they stood behind there work. I rated them "B" overall for these issues.

Description of Work: Miguel came to my house and went over a bunch of options. He was quite knowledgeable. I had a lot of questions and he very patiently answered them all. He also checked with an electrician to make sure that what I wanted was to code. My only question or issue is that I have is that it seems that what I paid for was a quote. I have had a few other companies out to quote work over the years with out the cost. I was very happy with Miguel, and it may be my own fault for not really looking at what I was buying, but, I think if I had just called them to come out and give me a quote, I would have received the same service with out paying.

Description of Work: I was very pleased with the entire process. It went so smoothly. All individuals I dealt with, Jack, Miguel and Ceasar were polite, efficient, and punctional. And the deck looks wonderful. They even accommodated a modification I asked for. I would use them again definitely.

Description of Work: We had a small screened porch and flagstone patio added to our house. The work was beautifully done for a very competitive price. Steadfast was quick to respond to any issues that needed to be dealt with during construction. The job took a little longer than estimated and got started a couple weeks later than expected, otherwise they would have gotten an A for punctuality. We would definitely use them again.
