Description of Work: They didn't show up for the initial appointment. When I called, they didn't have a record of it, and blamed it on the Angie's List scheduling system not be being compatible with theirs. Offered a gift card, so we wouldn't have to pay for the plans we purchased. When they did show up for the next appointment, the guy didn't know about the gift card; he said he would mail it to me, and email the CAD "drawings" for the screened porch they would quote. The email sent was just a picture from their website of a porch, not drawings of what they proposed to build for us. When I emailed them back that I didn't consider this a "drawing" and had not received the gift card, an Amazon gift certificate was promptly emailed to us and something like a CAD picture of what the proposed screened porch would look like. No measurements or description of materials, or details of how it would be constructed. Why would anyone pay a contractor $39 for an estimate? The estimate was for over $30,000 for a simple screened porch-way over-priced. We will get other estimates and don't expect to have to pay for them. If it was this hard getting plans, I can't imagine what it would have been like to have them complete a project for us.

Description of Work: They were very punctual when they showed for the estimate. But then they called to do the job 2-3 weeks early which seemed strange, and it was when a sub-contractor showed up to do the work. Without my opinion or approval. When he showed up with just his wife as help I was skeptical but she worked really hard. However, they came at bad times (too early) and without asking drove his truck across communal property them over my bushes TWICE. When I called the company to discuss these issues no return call and no person answered the phone on multiple occasions. Now 8 months later I am having issues with the work that was done? Had to leave for an out of town funeral and was distracted by the guy banging on the door wanting me to go over things. NOT totally satisfied!

Description of Work: Contracted to do a repair to a split ledger board. Got a quick response and the work was done below estimate. Would definitely recommend.

Description of Work: Installed new 12 x 14 foot deck with stairs and landing midway in stairs. Very timely with estimate. Deck material and construction of deck top quality. Construction crew very professional and polite. Would not hesitate to use them again for other projects.

Description of Work: Miguel came by to give us an estimate on having a deck and patio built. He had great ideas and was very friendly. We were told we would have estimates the following week and were looking forward to seeing what Miguel designed. However, we didn't hear back and when I inquired as to why we hadn't recieved and estimate, I was told they had several people in front of us and couldn't tell me when he could get to it. I was extremely disappointed in this considering how much we liked Miguel when he came by to take a look at the project and we had the best gut feeling about him being able to help us achieve what we wanted. Unfortunately, they seem to busy to be able to take on any more business.

Description of Work: We had a 730 square foot, two-level deck with a pergola and stairs that needed major work. We contracted with Steadfast to remove the old deck flooring, skirting ,and railings and replace them with composite materials. The estimator was very personable. The owner visited the site twice. The carpenters were professional and hard working. They started on November 11 and completed on December 1, despite some inclement weather when they could not work. The Fairfax County building inspectors made some suggestions, and the carpenters complied. The deck looks better than when it was originally built. We are very pleased with the result and with the experience. We would hire them again for any type of carpentry or deck work, as they are prompt, professional, and reasonable in cost.
