The power to about half of the circuits in my house quit working, and I figured it was a main panel failure. I called several providers rated well on AL, and Staples was the first company that said they would respond within the day. Once the two technicians arrived, they quickly diagnosed the problem, which was a phase failure with the incoming service, and nothing with anything in my house. This was welcome news (I'm guessing a breaker box would have cost around $2-3k), and so I called my electric company (Dominion), and 4 hours later, power was restored. At some point, I need to have that main panel replaced, and Staples will be the first company I call.

They came out to my house and i described the projects that I wanted completed. I was told that I would get a quote in a fed days. I never received the quote and called about a week later to see if they were still working on it. I was told that they must have forgot to send me the quote and they would send it to me as soon as possible. That was almost a month ago and I still have never heard from them about my quote. Wanted to give them a better grade but they had 2 chances to send me the quote and I can't recommend them to anyone.

Staples Electric has become my go-to electrician. A couple of years ago, they installed a light outside my back door and this year they installed a ceiling fan. They also changed the single light switch to a double switch for the light and the fan. The price for each job has been very reasonable. They are on time, easy to deal with, keep the job neat & tidy and best of all, their work is terrific. I will not hesitate to contact them again for any electrical need I might have.

The Staples Electric crew arrived promptly at the scheduled time and immediately went to work covering the entire kitchen area (countertops, floor, and cabinet faces) with plastic sheeting and organizing their tools and work plan. The team of Roberto, Darren, and Iggy were very professional and diligent in their work and the result is superb. They laid out the location of the new recessed lighting and pendant lights, carefully removed all the old fixtures, and began the process of installing and wiring up the new fixtures. They worked carefully to minimize cutting holes in the ceiling and walls to run the wiring for the new lighting and rough-patched the holes when the wiring work was done (finish patching and painting to be done by a different contractor). They were true professionals and obviously took great pride in their work. They took care to keep the work area as clean and orderly as possible throughout the progress of the work. The work was completed ontime as originally scheduled (one day) and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Craig Staples, the owner, visited us early in the project planning phase to provide recommendations on the proper lighting to achieve our desired result and provided a detailed estimate for the work. Craig stopped by during the installation to check on his crew and insure that we were satisfied with the work in progress and the work to be done. The crew checked all the new fixtures and switches for proper operation and cleaned the entire area before leaving. We were very impressed with Craig and his crew of electricians. The price was fair and the results are outstanding.

Had to add an outlet to a middle level of the house on the other side from where the circuit breakers were. Also installed a surge protector on our old circuit breaker. Arrived on time, very professional and knowledgeable. Assessed the situation and chose a very efficient path to run the wires. They were done in 2 hours and cleaned up very well. Offered good advice on some other issues that I asked about. The job was very well done, I am very happy with the service. The owner had come out prior for another issue and had provided guidance and the proposal for this work. All in all, it was an absolutely pleasure dealing with Staples Electric. I will happily use them again for any and all future electrical needs.

Craig Staples came to give me an estimate of the work I needed to have done shortly after I called Staples Electric. He was pleasant, realistic and gave me a few suggestions for lighting in my kitchen without making me feel compelled to go with them. Craig understood what I was asking for and sent me his estimate with links to the lighting company (so that I could take a look at the lights) within a day or so. Roberto and Jason were to arrive between 8 and 10 a.m. They were very prompt arriving at 8:05 a.m. They covered all of my counters; worked quietly and efficiently with the work completed at 10:20 a.m. Roberto and Jason showed me their work and how to change the light bulbs before leaving and took all work debris with them. My kitchen looked the way it did before they arrived! I love the lighting Craig suggested. Roberto and Jason did a magnificent job installing them. I would highly recommend Staples Electric, LLC to anyone needing electrical work and I do plan to use them again.

I called in the morning around 8:00am and the person who answered the call said she would try to fit me in today based on the situation and would return my call. She called back 15 minutes later and stated they could fit me in today and gave me a window of time, but also called 30 minutes prior to arrival at the house. Jason arrived and was very professional and instructed me on what I did wrong (a good teacher). Resolved and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. Would recommend to neighbors and friends.

Provided service the day I called and managed to accommodate my schedule! Jason was the ultimate professional, answering questions and providing advice and suggestions for future service issues that may arise. Happy I called this company.

We were having problems with half of our house losing power / having inadequate power. I called Dominion Power to come out and they said it was an internal issue. I got a couple of different electricians out to look at it and they both said the previous wiring had been shoddy and was arcing. Craig Staples was able to come out the same day within about half an hour of the time that I called. Although there was another electrician still there when Craig came out, he went on to another job and circled back the same evening. Craig prepared an electronic estimate document (which he sent me over email) in a quarter of the time it took the other electric company to prepare a carbon copy estimate. For the same scope of work to replace the main panel and meter and add a surge protector, the other company quoted almost $1,000 more than Staples. Staples also said they could complete the job in 1/3 of the time quoted by the other company, significantly shortening the time we would be without power (which was significant because I have a toddler, a pregnant wife who works from home, and a mother-in-law who lives with us who also works from home). Staples was also able to begin work about a week earlier than the other company. The crew from Staples was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and courteous about managing the outage to minimize the impact on our family. They crew arrived on time and finished the job in the allotted window. I would highly recommend Staples Electric and definitely use them again in the future.

The inspection and installation were done very professionally. The holes made in the walls for new power line were completely repaired - ready for paint. The microwave was quickly and efficiently installed with all excess materials removed. The entire house was checked (outlets) and the surge protector installed again with all excess materials removed. The team was courteous, professional and answered all questions.... Very quick response time to schedule an appointment for the next day. I immediately received an appointment confirmation email that laid out the hourly rate, minimum, and cancellation policies. I received a phone call about an hour before the arrival of my electrician. The electrician arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the causes of my flickering outlet, dead outlets, and shocking light switch. He worked very quickly and stopped briefly to explain what he discovered for each issue. The diagnosis and light switch fix only took about 20 minutes. He asked if I had anything else for him to look at, so I took him to electrical panel. I peppered him with random electrical questions and found him to be very knowledgeable and friendly. In the end I was billed the minimum charge as expected. I had a great experience and recommend Staples Electric highly!

Staples Electric was one of three companies from whom we received a quote for service. They responded promptly to my request to schedule a visit for the quote and their bid was very competitive. It was easy to schedule the date for service. The electricians arrived promptly within the given timeframe for the quote and the service appointments. The workers were pleasant, efficient, and did great work. We bought our house recently, and we will absolutely use Staples again for any future electrical needs.

The electrician completed a thorough inspection. I am no longer worried that I may have an electrical fire. I feel much safer.

Went well. As much as I hate spending $100 to learn it was just a bad receptacle, it was quickly diagnosed and saved me the hassle of trial-and-error troubleshooting. Technician was efficient and quick to troubleshoot. My only reason for the "B" grade on price is that I think hourly rates are overpriced, but Staples seemed to be about average among other electrician companies. I would've have given a C in price for being average cost, but upgraded to B due to the Angie's discount I received.

We met with several electrical contractors and felt most comfortable with Staples Electric. Craig Staples is great to work with and was able to quickly assess our goals for the job and offer a range of recommendations and options. When it was time to perform the requested work, Staples was on-time and completed the job on schedule. Roberto, our primary on-site engineer was excellent, performing the bulk of his work in extremely frigid conditions. During the installation process, Craig was extremely responsive. Staples Electric coordinated all inspection and permit-related work which made the entire process a breeze. Since our initial project, we've had Staples perform additional work including the installation of a generator transfer-switch. Staples Electric is our "go-to"electrical contractor.

I was initially concerned because they did not arrive within the arranged timeframe, but my concern was (I later learned) unnecessary because they DID successfully accomplish all the tasks we had mutually arranged for them to do before 5 PM the same day. Also, later that weekend I had a question about the quantity and placement of the recessed lights and the owner, Craig, came by on the weekend to visit with me and talk about options. We agreed that adding a couple more would be best so he arranged for one of the same guys that had done the initial work to come by as an early morning first stop and install additional ones. He charged me a very reasonable rate for these "late additions." Also, a couple of weeks later I realized that one of wall sockets in one of the bedrooms where a fan had been installed was no longer operating so I emailed Craig, the owner. He had the same guy come out again first thing in the morning and fix it within minutes at no additional cost. Working with Craig and his team was easy and professional!

Staples never showed during my appointment window. I called to inquire what happened and was told they weren't sure what happened even though I had an appointment. They offered to rescheduled, but I declined. I will not seek their services in the future.

The electrician, Roberto, arrived on time and was very professional. He checked all my electrical outlets and repaired several. The cost for the visit was very reasonable. When I later discovered that the electrician (and I) had missed an outlet, Staple's sent another electrician during my lunch break to repair it. I was not charged for the second visit! I was so happy with the service that I am asking Staples to come back for an estimate for several other projects.

Absolutely SUPERB service!!!!!! Craig came by personally to do a free estimate. He was honest and friendly and after viewing the problem, he was able to send a technician the SAME DAY. The technician--Roberto--was friendly and knowledgable. He spent ONE HOUR fixing a problem that a previous electrician had said would take at least 6-12 hours to fix. The previous electrician also wanted to rip out huge chunks of drywall and install a whole new circuit. Roberto fixed everything without disturbing a spec of drywall. I could not be happier with Staples Electric. I will recommend them to everyone I know who needs electrical services from now on!
