Craig Staples and his assistant changed out the electrical panel, added the microwave line and rerouted the outside line. Craig came back later and added the surge protector, hook up the attic fan and repair the outside outlet. The outside outlet was totally corroded and the outlet broken. There was another outlet box located below that one (I dug it out as it was about 6" underground). Craig replaced it with a taller, more substantial outlet box.

I had no electricity in garage or in my laundry room, Staples Electric came out and rewired the house and installed new electrical wiring in both garage and laundry room.

The attic fan was not working when I moved into the house. It looked like the fan was installed, but just not wired in. After looking up electricians on Angie's List, I sent a project report to Staples Electric through their website on a Wednesday. That Friday Craig called and said he was in the neighborhood, and wanted to stop in to survey the work. After a few minutes he determined a mouse had gotten into the wiring, and the fan motor was dead so it would need to be replaced. He came back the very next Monday with a new fan, and had it installed and working very quickly. He provided an accurate estimate up front before any work was done, and was very professional. I will definitely be consulting him first for my next electrical project.

I found Craig on Angie's List 4 days ago, called to describe my problem and he immediately set up a time to come by the next day. He was delayed on a service call that day (a Friday afternoon), so called to give me plenty of notice and reschedule for the next morning. After checking out a few things he knew exactly what needed to be done and explained everything quite well. I mentioned some other electrical problems I had been having and he offered to take a look and make sure everything was in order. He was reliable, knowledgeable, and did what he said he was going to do, when he said he would do it. I'll be hiring him again to install lighting in a home office, and feel comfortable that I now have an electrician I can rely on.

He was wonderful and he cleaned up after himself. If he was going to be late he called. He had to make several holes so he plastered them and painted them without charging me any extra money. He was very professional.

Wonderful! The reason I called Staples (aside from the Angie's List recommendations) was that last year, when I was considering installing underfloor heating, Craig was nice enough to answer some of my questions on the phone and email me further info about what it would take to install. So this year, when I started suspecting I needed electrical work, I called Staples first. Craig came out for an estimate before the work began, and soon after, emailed price estimates on each individual project. About a week or so I had him out to start work. He discovered something unexpected when he opened a kitchen outlet, but was able to fix it and make it safe without a huge ordeal or expense. He figured out and fixed a GFCI issue -- something that a contractor had worked on for about six hours before giving up -- in about 15 minutes! When he came out for the second part of the job, he and his helper ably knocked out the projects in a few hours. He even offered to come back with a ladder to change out a bulb near the roof of the house! I sure wish I had him working on our electric a year ago instead of the other guy!

Required several trips but managed to work around both schedules.

They set up an appointment for the following business day. They were 2 hours late, but did call to update me. They did an excellent job making the repairs and even fixed a few wires in the breaker box that were wrong.

My kitchen remodeling contractor (MAG Remodeling) tried to put everything on the same circuit, but the addition of the microwave was too much. He did not have a master electrician on staff, but was good friends with Craig Staples and had him come look at the problem. After a quick inspection the next day (Friday), Craig gave me a quote. On Monday morning at 7am, Craig and an associate showed up and worked straight through the day to connect the wire. They had to cut through parts of the ceiling, but did a great job of patching everything up. The didn't paint because I was having painters come later in the week. Everything has worked great for the last few weeks and I've very happy with the upgrade.

Mr. Staples came on less than 24 hour notice. He was friendly, helpful, gave wonderful information in regards to electrical operation of the house and gave a fair estimate for one item that needed further repair.

Craig was very responsive, came on time, and was very neat. Craig came back at no additional charge to finish the job when some additional parts we needed came in (they replaced ones we had ordered in the wrong size).

Craig is great! When he saw I was unhappy with the two exterior outlets that I had originally wanted, he offered to replace them with four outlets and only charged me for replacing the boxes. The patchwork that he did on the drywall is so good, I didn't even have to paint it to match up the wall color. We recommend Crag highly. He's a great personality and very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He will be back next week to do some additional exterior work.

Craig was on time, took care to cover the work area and was very pleasant to deal with. When I asked him to change the outlet as an add on he did so for no charge.

Extremely well. Craig called me back the day I left a message, requesting a quote. He came the next day to provide the quote. He arrived on time and was pleasant to work with. He and his staff were professional, did an excellent job, and left no trace of dust or dirt after completing the job.

Company showed within hours of request for service, making a special stop, due to the circumstances of the call. On top of this, they charged a minimal fee.

It took me a long time to find a electrcian I knew could handle the job. I had gotten many estimates and found that not only were Staples Electric prices thousands of dollars less than all my other quotes I could tell that Craig Staples had years of knowledge and expertise (and he even agreed to deal with the power company for me something that most other places had refused to do). Everything went wonderfully...exactly as planned. Craig was amazing!

He was a nice guy and easy to talk do. He gave me lots of options in order to save me money on the work. He came up with ways to accomplished what I wanted without breaking my bank. He laid plastic where he was working and cleaned up well when the job was completed.

Craig Staples is fair, honest and does what he says he is going to do.

Excellent. Craig is not only professional, but also diligent and personal. He gives a good advice that is intended only to do the best job, without inflating costs. He is not to cut corners with the use of cheaply made fixtures, or shoddy work. He left us plenty of options in terms of choosing what we want and how we wanted the installation to be. He is a little late with his appointments ( 40-60 minutes late), but forgive him that because his attitude is in the right place: he works thoroughly on each client, and addresses unforeseen issues without rushing out the door. He communicates well by phone and e-mail, and keeps you informed. He treats male and female customers with equal professionalism.

The work was well done, a safety check performed and everything cleaned up. We asked his opinion on some under-cabinet fluorescent lights that hummed annoyingly. He explained how the structure and quality of such lights affect performance -- and noted some wiring that was installed contrary to code. He also gave a very reasonable estimate to replace the lights and wiring, and coached me on terminology to use in my complaint to the contractor who did the installing. He is a very personable man and takes pride in the quality of his work.
