They were very professional. They trouble shooted for best solutions to the problems. I would trust them to do additional work.

We initially had our HVAC company come out and when they determined it was strictly an electrical problem, we decided to hire an electrician who could do a more thorough analysis. Craig not only confirmed what the HVAC folks told us, but dug a bit deeper and showed me a couple of other issues that needed to be fixed, including a degraded circuit for our water heater. Craig did a very thoughtful and complete job and has an obvious sense of pride and integrity in his work. This is the second time we've worked with Staples Electric and recommend him highly.

They did a great job. He came out on a Saturday. He did the job very quickly. He even gave us a estimate on any other work that may need to be done. He was very quick to respond. He was polite and professional.

Craig Staples came in person to gave us an estimate. The price was $362.50. Work time probably 3 to 4 hours. They could do it in 2 hours and they charged us only $300.00. We are extremely happy with their expertise, the job and the final result and price.

The was fine, however the prices kept on going up.

He was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. He answered any questions I had for him. Easy to get a hold of. He made a follow-up call to make sure everything was working correctly. Very prompt and very clean. He had to drill some holes and he patched them afterward and it looks great. Great job I highly recommend him.

We've had numerous folks do work on the electrical in our kitchen and the garbage disposal hasn't been working for months. I called Staples, they answered the phone (after hours) and showed up right on time and gave us a quick fix. We showed them the three other issues - including a drop light that had never been properly installed and wasn't working, an outlet that had fried (due to a kid sticking something in there a few years ago). They also identified that the outlet on an island should have a separate fuse. The final fix for the disposal was estimated as a 1/2 day job and would involve cutting through the ceiling in the basement and rewiring the whole thing. They showed up 5 minutes early. Set up, covered everything, completed the work and cleaned up and finished all of the other work quickly and efficiently. I am happy to have it all done and done well once and for all. The owner was part of the main job and then came back to review the completion of all of the projects.

I emailed Craig on a Saturday night because I had noticed fluctuations in power in different parts of my house. He telephoned me almost immediately and set an appointment for 8 AM Monday morning. In the meantime, he recommended that I contact the power company as he thought the cause was most likely in wiring or connections outside of the home. I had not considered that possibility, so I really appreciated the suggestion. The power company sent someone out on Sunday while I was away and when I returned home, the problem seemed to be resolved. I decided to have Staples Electric keep the appointment we had set to check things on the inside. I was given a discount on the normal first-hour rate because the visit was really just an extra precaution. Roberto arrived promptly, worked professionally, and explained everything in simple terms.

Poor. $100 for the installation of one outlet seems very high, particularly when I waited for 2 full days before he showed up.

The first time I called I left a voicemail message describing the service need and requesting a call back. Two weeks later no one had called. I called again and this time talked to a man who was courteous and nice. He promised service 4 days later on a Friday or early the following week. I provided all phone numbers and the address. We did not receive any call or service.

The service was absolutely perfect. Craig was delightful to work with. They were quick and neat and I was extremely satisfied. They were on time even though it was early in the morning. And they were trustworthy as well. They even put up with my barking dogs.

Everything went really well with Staples Electric. They were every knowledgeable about the service. They were very honest on their price and what needed to be done.

Craig came for a free estimate. I was initially put off with his imprecision and informality at the time of the estimate, but in the end, when he actually did the work, he and his excellent colleague, Ronaldo, were excellent. Ronaldo actually did much of the work and I was very, very impressed with him. They left the wall patched and ready for a simple coat of primer and paint to look picture perfect again. The work took roughly 4.5 hours and, thank goodness, he convinced me out of where I wanted to place the recessed fixtures and used his profession judgment. The desk area where he installed the fixtures is wonderfully lit now, and I fear that what I suggested would not have been nearly as good. Added to this, I got his professional discount when shopping for the fixtures at an electrical/lighting fixture supply company. I wanted to install a photo sensor on the garden shed, which he talked me out of given the amount of shade. He instead installing a timer that, on the basis of the calendar date, turns the fixture on at sunset and off at sunrise. It works perfectly. All in all, Craig is a good guy and I now will speak of him as "my electrician" if anyone asks for a referral. He has all of my future electrical work. The cost above does not include the lighting fixtures, but includes labor and the cost of the switches/GFCI outlet in the shed.

Wonderful experience. Work was promised. Very attentive. Walked and talked us through the work to be done cost. Kept in close contact and got in and got the job done.

Craig arrived as scheduled to look things over and quote the work. After looking things over he made a few recommendations to make things go as smoothly as possible and reduce my overall costs. He began work when agreed. Installed 3 ceiling fans onto the concrete ceilings of my condo. Craig worked to minimize the amount of surface conduit to keep the installation as clean as possible. He also installed 2 recessed lights in my shower stalls and expanded the existing wall boxes to accommodate the additional switches. Craig assessed the current fuse box and added a new branch circuit to better balance the existing load and accommodate the new fixtures. After each day he carefully cleaned up any wire bits, drywall, etc. The job took exactly as long as quoted and also cost what was quoted. I would definitely do business with Staples Electric again.

The gentleman called about 2 days later and talked with my husband extensively about ceiling fans, our neighborhood (they did work here during construction), and our remote control problem. He told my husband our ceiling fans were at the end of their hours and it would be cheaper to replace them than to have him come out, tell us they aren't working, and then replace them. He was very professional and saved us money!!

I had an entire circuit with an open ground. I had just moved into the house and this had been disclosed in the inspection. Turns out it was a fairly simple problem; a recent upgrade near the breaker box had cut the ground wire on this circuit. They ran a new connection for me, and attached the new outlet in the garage quickly and cleanly.

I was very pleased with the work they did and would recommend them to anyone.

We had to install a dedicated circuit breaker for the over the range microwave. Craig came over and gave an estimate free of cost. Thought it was time and labor, his cost was twice as low as the estimate given by another contractor picked up from a different referral service! Craig came over today and got the work done in...guess what...4 hours ! How about that for some professional acumen. He was easy to interact with, my 3 year old had a fun time too :-) I would hire Craig in a hurry in the future for anything electrical. The best part was that he did the patch work for the drywall, saving me time from looking for a specialist for that, some versatility there. I will pass on his information to anyone with needs going well that he can be trusted and his words can be respected. I would probably give him a "B" for punctuality only because we couldn't figure out when Craig would come in for the actual work, but, he ended up getting the work done just ahead of our scheduled microwave installation date with the appliance retailer. But in hindsight, he is busy for a reason, he is such a trusted guy that everybody in town wants to hire him for their work.
