The experience was excellent. They showed up on time, where very polite, installed plastic in work areas, did the work over two days and cleaned up when they were done. Mr. Staples showed up on both days to review the work and to do work. I would happily hire them again.

Great. He worked quickly, and looked at all the other issues we had. He could not get much done in the hour, but we now know what it would take to get everything fixed.

Craig's employees are neat, clean, polite and knowledgeable. He does everything by email to reduce paper. He gave me a great price on the work he performed, and was even able to accommodate an added request for a replacement timer switch for our front porch light at the last minute. Craig is a very laid back, relaxed, no pressure guy. While in a lot of ways, this is a very positive trait in a vendor, his casual approach in my case caused a few misunderstandings. Before even detailing them here, let me be clear that he was more than accommodating in resolving the misunderstandings and made sure I was happy before he left the job site. 1) there was a slight time lag (due to my schedule and his) between his giving me the estimate and when the work was started. Craig must not have reviewed the estimate before he sent his guys out, because he'd forgotten we decided to go ahead with the outside GFI outlet. When I asked about it, he wasn't convinced that was part of the agreed estimate/price, but was able to quickly review his email estimate from his blackberry and then readily agreed that he had included it in the scope of work. Since the work was to continue the next day anyway, he made sure to have the necessary supplies to include this piece of the job. 2) There was also a little mis- (or lack of) communication regarding the type of fixture to be used in the shed. He didn't specify the fixture type in his estimate, and I had an idea in my head of what type it would be. When they arrived, they planned for a completely different type of fixture. His estimate could/should have been more detailed so that if our visions were different, we'd know in advance and could clarify before the work started. In the end, while the fixture he used wasn't what I had in mind, it looks/works fine so far, and before he left, he made clear that if we decide we really want a different fixture, he'll come out and replace it. Lessons learned on both sides...Next time, I'll be sure an estimate specifies a particular product type, and if it doesn't, ask for more details before the job starts.

Mr. Staples looked and told me he would get back with an estimate the next week. I have heard nothing!

We were able to get immediate service. The young man who did the work was very polite and efficient. My husband and a friend originally installed the light but after having some painting done the light no longer fit flush against the wall. It was good that I had an electrician look at it because there was an additional problem with the original installation of which we were unaware.

We had an excellent experience with Craig Staples and his company. They did excellent work for a great price and in a timely way. They did extensive work in our kitchen and mudroom area. They accommodated a a request to change out some lighting without any hesitation. I value integrity very highly and Craig demonstrated it.

They are top notch. Craig has always responded punctually and has given me great pricing and he goes the extra mile.

I was able to obtain an appointment for a service call on the same day. As promised I was called by the electrician one half hour before his arrival. The electrician was pleasant and professional in appearance. It was a very hot day and even though it was the end of the day he still looked professional. He wasted no time in setting to work in a business like manner. My husband was particularly impressed that his cell phone rang a few times and he did not answer it. When my husband joked that it might be his girlfriend he pleasantly answered that he did not take personal calls at work as we were paying by the hour. He kept us informed of his test results as he worked. He found the problem on one of the last switches he tested and was able to fix the problem. He gave us a clear explanation of the fault and the reason for it. I found Staples Electric on Angie's List and this is my first experience with them but I would certainly use them again.

Craig came to the house to bid the job. Said he would send estimate and never did.

Can't complain about anything. When Craig came out to give us an estimate, he recommended the simplest, most cost-effective solution among a few choices I set out for him and talked about some potential pitfalls. He was also kind enough to spend some time talking about some other jobs we're kinda-sorta-maybe thinking about doing and what he would need to take care of them. Based on that experience, we went with his company. Roberto, who came out to do the work, was also highly professional and capable. He verified the plans with me and double checked installation locations, installed everything quickly and cleanly, did good work patching the drywall, and tested to make sure everything worked. I only mark price a B instead of an A because the final price was on par with the other quotes we got. On value, though, I think Staples was head and shoulders above most everyone else. I will definitely be calling Staples if and when we need electrical work in the future.

Sadly this is the second attic fan motor that I have needed in 12 months. Last August Staples replaced my fan motor and thermostat. The job then was perfect. This year during the heat wave, I noticed that the upstairs was getting very warm. I checked the attic fan and it was not working again. Staples came back out and was generous enough to only charge me labor to replace this motor even thought the warranty had passed. The men were pleasant, fast working and punctual. I hope to use this team again in the future as I work on other electrical jobs. Thanks!

Accomplished what they could on the day of service; promised to get back to us with an estimate for the rest, which they promptly did. It was broken down by category, which was very helpful (for example, if you want this done it would be $380; if you want that done, $225, etc.) Very pleased with workmanship, promptness, and professionalsim.

I've been using Craig since 2008 when I needed him to place new wiring in the kitchen for a new stove. I think that job was about $150. He helped me lug out the old stove and lug in the new stove after he wired up the outlet. I got to know Craig through that visit and through Angie's list. I then had him come out and replace my circuit breaker box. This was about $1400. Thats a h*** of a good deal, by the way. He and his guys were at my house for a few hours and did a fantastic job. So good that I recommended him to all of my friends and colleagues. Finally, I had Craig come out and hook-up and hang a chandelier. Another great job and for a reasonable price - $99. Craig and his team are REALLY good at what thay do and have the most reasonable prices around. To me, you can't find a better electrician. With that said, he's not even that threatening (I saw a report that labeled him threatening or scary or something like that)! Unless, of course, you find Teddy Bears threatening... Keep up the good work Craig!

Immediate response, fair price, what's not to like? This is your classic American small businessman. Good work at a good price. If he makes a mistake, he makes up for it.

Extremely well. This is the third or fourth time I've used them, and I'm always very happy with their work. They are so easy to work with -- personable, professional, and efficient! We had a fairly long list of minor things, and they were able to get things done quickly and everything went very smoothly. Craig knew we were in a hurry because our house was on the market, and he made special efforts to make sure we got everything done in time. I'm always so impressed.

Awesome. Craig responded promptly to my service request and was able to get out to provide an estimate in good time. He was thorough in explaining the services to be provided and what would / would not be needed. The work performed was pretty extensive and required a couple of visits to complete, but Craig kept informed on the status of the work and was great. Two guys who came out to the house to do the work (Roberto & Chris) were punctual, courteous and their work was flawless. They left my place clean and all the work I had performed turned out great! I will definitely use Staples should I have any electrical work done in the future.

Mr. Staples replied very quickly to my request for an estimate for the installation of recessed lighting. A work date was established and he arrived on time to conduct the survey and make recommendations on how the lighting should be placed. On the date established for installation, Mr, Staples and his electrician Roberto arrived on time to prepare the room. I was truly impressed with the prep. Plastic sheeting was placed over all furniture and flooring. Roberto singlehandedly installed the lights, checked the attic (as a last minute add-on) and cleaned the work area, restoring it to its original condition. A great deal of attention was paid to the clean up. Roberto was very professional, diligent and wasted no time installing the lights. As is often the case, the area for installation presented a few problems as the ceiling did not allow for a straight forward approach. Roberto resolved the issues. The necessary repairs to the drywall were also accomplished in a professional manner and made paint ready. I would definitely use Mr. Staples' electrical services again. The cost of the work was fair and Mr. Staples was very accommodating in taking on the last minute request for additional work.

I was in a bind after spending hours installing and reinstalling a ceiling fan that just would not connect to the light switch. After numerous almost right attempts, I called in a true professional and it was very much worth the money. Craig installed in less than hour and pain over.

It was wonderful. They called the night before and the morning of to confirm. Roberto took care of all three of the problems I was having and went out of his way to help. These guys are great!

Craig did what he said he would. We bought a 60 year old foreclosure that need a complete electrical upgrade complete with new panel, grounding rods, bonds, meter installation, breakers, surge protector, etc. Craig did it in a day as well as answered my dumb questions. He and his guys were prompt, polite, and they did what was written in the estimate.

Craig is prompt, honest, and a true professional! He and his team worked around our schedule, difficult road conditions and our very friendly and sometimes in the way dog. I have another "to do" list that I will be contacting Craig with in the next few months!
