I found Staples Electric on Angie's List when searching for contractors to do ceiling fan installation in 3 bedrooms. Craig was the ONLY contractor that I contacted (5 total) that physically came to the house and provided a detailed estimate regarding the install. All the other contractors quoted flat rates over the phone without seeing the intended job site. Craig provided input on the proper size and type ceiling fans for the rooms they would be installed in. We were unable to locate the fans locally that we wanted, so we needed to order the fans and schedule an install date. Craig was extremely flexible in scheduling and was able to install the fans two days after we received them. The installation team (two electricians) were FABULOUS. They prepared the rooms so cleanup would be easy, installed the electrical boxes and fans without issue. Upon completion of the job, the electrician took us to each room and showed us how to operate the fans. The one thing I had not requested at time of the estimate was a switch to control the fan and light separately. I asked the electrician what I should get and how to install them. After further thinking of my own electrical abilities, I called Craig again to have someone come back to install the switches. Again - Craig was very responsive. I will use Craig and his team again for all my electrical needs. Fabulous experience.

Staples did a great job at a very reasonable price. Our over-the-stove microwave would occasionally trip the circuit breaker when other appliances in the kitchen were used at the same time. Staples recommended installing a dedicated circuit and quoted a price which was very reasonable. When they were at the house, I asked them to run a new circuit to a counter that had no outlets on it, and to fix a circuit that would not allow the breaker to be reset. I expected the bill to be much more, but since the microwave circuit was easier to run than expected, they did the additional work without charging extra. The microwave now hums along without causing the lights to go out, the new outlet circuit opened up our countertop to a whole range of plug-in appliances, and the faulty circuit is working just fine. These guys are great, and honest! Highly recommended.

Shortly after speaking with the owner of Staples Electric we received a reasonable quote for the job. After our review of the other companies we had contacted on Angie's List and their rates we decided to go with Staples Electric. The crew arrived on-time and were courteous and polite. The crew performed the work efficiently and when they were done they cleaned up very well - cleaned, sealed and patched everything. We were very pleased with entire transaction from start to finish - a very happy customer!

He did not show up, did not call, did not respond to my follow-up voicemail inquiry. I took time off from work to be home. Extremely dissatisfied.

The owner was very personable. He came out and talked with me multiple times and he consulted with me on what needed to be done and made sure I understood everything. He worked with me as far as being flexible because there was some stuff that I could do. His flexibility allowed me to get in and do part of the work. They gave me a quote and ended up going over on time but he stuck to his quote and did not charge me extra. Additionally because they ended up going over and had to come back a couple of days he gave me an additional discount off of the quoted price. I chose him because the price was good. The workmen were very good about making sure that they laid down covering for any mess so it would be minimized and they made sure they cleaned up at the end of every day. He was always available by email and phone. He was there within 5-10 minutes of their scheduled time. I would definitely use them again and I would recommend him to anybody. It was a very good experience.

Mr. Staples saved the day. We needed our new stove installed after the company we ordered it from baled on us. The other electricians we called wouldn't call us back (Root and Beacon Electrical) because It was a "small job." Mr. Staples came out personally for the estimate then sent two of his guys out who were very nice and competent. Mr. Staples called them at least twice to check on their progress. Good experience!

Went well overall. He was efficient and friendly.

Craig and his electricians were very professional and did a great job at a fair price. They completely replaced my old "Pushmatic" electrical panel with a new, top quality 200 amp 40 breaker Square D panel in a quick, clean and professional manner. They also checked every outlet in the house (and I mean checked - they pulled them completely out of the elec box and visually and physically inspected the outlet and wiring connection - not just with a probe like the home inspectors do - and then put them back together in a neat and professional manner), corrected a few with reversed polarity, fixed a few issues, added a whole house surge suppressor, and ran two new circuits to my basement. Their price for this work was very competitive, and frankly an outstanding value in my opinion. They are a great company to do business with, and I highly recommend them.

I called Staples in March to have a ceiling fan installed in my master bedroom. Craig gave me a quote on the phone and I later scheduled the appointment to have them come do the work. The appointment was for 8:00 am on a Wednesday morning. They showed up at 8:00 am on the dot. The electrician was very professional and he did an excellent job installing the fan. I called Staples again a few weeks later to have another fan installed in my loft. I didn't get a return call right away but because they were so good the first time I decided to try calling again a few days later. That time my call was returned. The second fan was installed (with no pre-existing wiring) in less than two hours! They did an incredible job. I am so glad I found Staples. This is a great company. Craig and his team are honest, professional, punctual, and do excellent work. I look forward to using them again.

This is the second time I hired Staples electric to perform electrical work in my home. Mr. Staples arrived promptly and within days of my request to perform a site inspection and provide an estimate. His crew arrived on time and performed the work in a very professional manner. Due to my total lack of asethic talent, I relied on Mr. Staples to design my new lighting project as well. He did a great job and I will continue to refer to him as "my electrician".

Purchased an older home - needed a few things checked so started with their "whole house inspection" service. At the start, I must have caught Craig at a busy time, but after some initial phone tag, everything kicked into gear. As a result of the whole house inspection a laundry list of items some serious, some cosmetic were identified. The electricians raced to stay ahead of my painting schedule and were able to get it all done. Got detailed emails from Craig - my calls to him were responded to promptly, never felt like I was asking a stupid question. Now I am confident that my house is electrically safe and secure - would recommend Staples Electric to friends and family.

Craig's team provided absolutey terrific service. They arrived on time, were very professional the entire time they were in the house, and finished on or around the estimated time. In addition, all of the work was very nicely done and they did a great job of cleaning up all of the debris that was generated as a result of the work performed. All in all, great professionals.

This was one of the best customer service experiences I have had. Craig Staples was helpful, responsive, honest and fair. The electrician he sent over was prompt, thorough and friendly. He fully explained the issues he found and explained the work he had done. I will absolutely hire Staples Electric for any electrical work I might need in the future.

As part of the selling my home I needed to get a finished basement get an electrical inspection permit from the County. A report was produced as to all the work needed to bring the electrical up to code. Now I needed to get the work done. I had only days to get the entire job completed and have the final inspection done. Finding Staples Electric on Angie's List was the easy part. I sent the email to Staples and within minutes I heard from Craig Staples. I explained my predicament, especially the timing constants I was under, and Craig said he would take care of it. In order to do this he had to shuffle work loads around to free up his staff to work on this job. This included later hours and weekend work. Because it was a finished basement there were some unique problems to resolve in order to get the electrical requirements done without tearing up the basement. The entire job was done as promised and passed the final inspection with minimal disruption to the basement. Craig was always available when I needed to reach him.He made a major obstacle become nothing more than a small bump in the closing of my house. His pricing was more than reasonable for the work performed. I highly recommend Staples Electric. Craig and his staff are true professionals in all aspects of their jobs.

Best electrical service I've ever had! Craig took the call and arranged for a service call same day. Roberto was excellent - professional, neat, polite and very competent. he took his time and analyzed all posssible problem areas and explained as he progressed and was very good about answering all of the questions I had. I will not only use them again but recommend them toothers as well.

Craig came in to give me an estimate and also pointed out a couple of items that were not done right. I forgot Craig's team member's name but he was the one who performed all the work - he did a good job and cleaned up the space after work. I am very happy with the quality of work and I will hire Staples Electric again.

I couldn't be happier with the service. I received an estimate from another electrician on Angie's List and they were equally professional in their estimate and discussion of the job. However, Craig had a better price for me and his work included rough dry wall repair which many electricians won't offer. Now, in the end they didn't need to cut much into the dry wall, but it definitely saves me time and effort to have to do it myself. All I have left to do now is add another coat and paint it. The recess lights themselves looked very nice and they were the main part of the job. Definitely go with Craig's recommendation if you contemplating added anything crazy to the wish list and he'll guide you well. His team came on time, did the work diligently, covered all of the furniture with plastic and completed the work on time. Craig came himself initially to give instruction but then he left me in the capable hands of his electricians. They were professional, courteous and answered questions. I would definitely recommend Staples Electric to anyone interested in doing similar work. Great experience.

The technician was great. He allowed my two dogs to run around and even took a few minutes to introduce himself to them. He checked everywhere he could think of for a problem and discovered a broken wire in one of the lights. He replaced a light switch and repaired the wires while I ran to Home Depot and bought a replacement light. He then installed the light and recommended I get a full electrical inspection when possible. Just to make sure no other wires in the home are damaged.

Please keep up the good work! --- My request was simple, I simply wanted to install two chandeliers. The chandelier come with a wedge-type anchor and a mounting hook for installing. I sent the photo to Craig to confirm that he is able to install it. He doesn't seem to be very responsive to email or call as he never contact me to confirm the appointment -- I have to contact him to confirm that it is happening. An electrician came in and it turned out that he couldn't do it and he had to call his supervisor and will come back. He asked me to send photos to his email (I already did but he never checked it!) so I send the photos to them again and I never got a reply back. A few weeks has gone by and he still never replied my email. Seem like he got too many businesses?

We were extremely happy with Craig Staples and his crew. Leading up to the installation, we had several questions about what kind of fans to buy, sizes, and extras. We communicated our questions to Craig via e-mail. Each time he responded promptly and gave us good information that we used to purchase our fans. On the day of the installation, the electrician arrived promptly and completed the work in just a few hours. We had no lighting or fans in the ceilings prior to this, so that meant climbing up into the attic and installing the fans from scratch. They made sure that they kept the work areas clean during the installation and cleaned up behind themselves when the work was complete. In addition, he replaced a pendant light that hung from the ceiling at the top of our staircase and replaced 3 smoke detectors that were on their last legs. From start to finish it was a pleasure dealing with Staples Electric. In fact, yesterday (1/19/12) we had an unexpected electrical problem and I didn't hesitate to call Craig. It was not a dire emergency, but he scheduled someone to come to make the repair at 8:00 a.m. this morning. Again, another good experience with Staples Electric.

The change to the room has been great! I enjoy going in this room for the first time in years. It is evenly lit and provides a relaxing atmosphere. The project took 1 day and some change. Staples repaired and patched the drywall as promised. We still need to repair the mud but we expected that. Craig was upfront that he did a simple first coat but that he did not do drywall repair. I liked that idea that I was paying for quality electrical work and not more general handyman repairs. I recommend this company. It was good value for the money.

The owner came to assess what needed to be done. He didnt hard sell anything very professional. His quote was very accurate. The electricians were very nice and did a great job in a timely manner. I'd highly recommend this business.
