All was done quickly and they cleaned up after themselves. They were professional and friendly. The contract does ask you to dispose of the trash which was heavy but easily disposed.

Our entire house lost power one Sunday evening. When we figured out it was issue inside the house and that we needed an electrician, I emailed Staples Electric that same night to schedule an appointment to come out to our house. To my surprise, Craig, the owner, emailed me back (within the hour!) and got someone out to our house the very next morning. Once the issue was identified (we had to replace our ancient circuit breaker box and bring everything up to code), Craig and his crew took the time to answer all our questions and walked us through the process of our electrical project. Working in the service industry myself and having high expectations to start, I was very impressed with the outstanding customer service Staples Electric provided. Not only was Craig was very quick to respond to all emails or phone calls, he even stopped by the day of our installation to make sure everything was running smoothly and to see if we had any other questions. Having never experienced an issue like this before and not knowing what to expect, we felt very safe and comfortable knowing that Staples was there to take care of everything. It also feels great to know that we have a go-to electrician that we know and trust. I give them my highest recommendation!

I waited one week, but I NEVER received a reponse to my inquiry. I was very disappointed, especially since the company had such glowing reviews. I decided to contact another electrical contractor, who responded promptly, scheduled the requested appointment and arrived on time. AMENDMENT on 3/13/13 - Mr. Staples personally called me today to schedule an estimate. When I told him I had already found another electrical contractor after not receivng a response from his company, he said they never received my previous request (which I made via their webite). He apologized for the "computer glitch" and he even offered me a discount on a service in the future. I was really pleased with Mr. Staples' sincere response, and I will definitely consider this company in the near future.

Talked to Mr. Staples directly regarding a electrical circut that I could not get to reset -- he had one of his team members come by the next morning and reset it and we scheduled an appointment the following week to have some work done int the house -- the worker came on time, was very helpful and did great work, at a very good price. We are having Staples come back and do additional electrical work on the house over the next couple of weeks.

To be honest it couldn't have gone better. Craig is very pleasant and easy to deal with, knows his stuff and communicates well and promptly. He listens and will make suggestions if want him to. His quote was competitive and comprehensive, and broken down if we wanted to do it in pieces. Scheduling was straightforward, the work was completed in a single day, on time and both the materials and work were of a high standard. His team were skilled, respectful, trustworthy and cleaned up at the end of the day. I am very happy with the results.

They were prompt in giving the initial quote (same day in our case) and compared very favorably against other quotes we'd gotten. Most of the work was performed by a team of two over a full day (with some additional work on another day). This involved installing a second meter base on the outside of the house next to the existing meter as part of Dominion Power's EV charging program. Near the meter base, inside the house was a fused cutoff box for the new 100 Amp circuit. I had them pull 2 100 Amp lines through the basement and out to the garage (one for future expansion, the other as part of the EV charging program). They were able to do this through a full finished basement with minimal disturbance to the drywall (one incision which they patched inside a closet). They used one can light recess to help them guide the cables. In the garage they did it completely behind the drywall including going through a cinder-block wall. I had them bring out the EV outlet on a strip of wall between the two garage doors which makes it very convenient. The workers were very polite and courteous. Staples had to coordinate with Dominion on the job as the design had to meet their specifications. They then scheduled the inspection. After the inspection, Dominion completed the new feed and mounted the meter. I'd certainly recommend Staples for those seeking an economical EV charger installation (or other electrical work).

The service man did a quality job taking down the old fan, installing the new fan and cleaning up upon completion of the job. We would definitely use Staples Electric again if additional electric work was needed.

I contacted one company I have a service contract with and thought after doing some research that the price was too high. I called a couple of place and immediately was able to speak with the owner (Craig) and we went quickly went through, he gave me a more than reasonable price and everything was done a few days later. County inspectors came by today and everything passed with flying colors. I couldn't be more pleased with the whole process. The crew was top notch and they were remarkably clean, little to clean after they left, the ceiling fans are awesome and the new box is working well. I honestly can't remember a project going so smoothly. Top notch all the way...

He called and arrived a few minutes later--within a half hour of proposed arrival. He went to work and was done within the hour. He did not take credit cards but did accept a check.

Roberto was outstanding - very professional and skilled. He installed a 4 camera security camera and did it within the estimated time and cost. He was also very good at concealing the wires either in the attic or walls. I recommend Staples Electric for all your electrical needs.

In 2012 I purchased an "as is house" that was built in 1945. After working with a number of contractors I can honestly say that Craig Staples and his team deserve an A PLUS rating! I'll go as far as to say one of the best in the Northern VA area. First of all the response time on emails and phone calls are above average.Craig Staples works 24/7, you will always get a quick response. He appears to make every effort to accommodate his customers. I recently placed an emergency service call after 9pm and a tech arrived before noon the following day. These guys seem to keep a full schedule but always find solutions and ways to work with you. As far as the Staples Team, I have met three of the technicians. These guys are true Boy Scouts, you can leave your house and not worry.They take the time to explain the problem and how they will make the repair. Always very professional and seem to have solid work ethics. If you are in search of Top Notch electricians look no further. Prices are fair and you can't beat the customer service!

I was selling my large 1 bedroom condo and needed to fix a few things before closing. The Service from Staples Electric was very prompt, the technician was friendly, knowledgable, and quick to complete the work, and the work was top-notch. I was very pleased!

He came in, I told him what was wrong The kitchen cab.s got flooded with water from a upstairs leaking bathtub. He pulled down a corner recess light and found it was set at a lower reading. He fixed it and all the lights relit. I told him a couple of light were funky in the family room. He said I wasn't using dim bulbs so they won't dim properly, that was all the problem was. I told him that 2 bulbs in the basement recess lights kept going out. He looked at them quickly and said that instead of wasting my money looking at them he suggested I replace the bulbs with the old fashion non-eco ones that are not so sensitive to heat and cold temps. He replaced all the first floor outlets that were getting too loose. He took pictures of things to be replaced for a future visit.

Chose Staples Electric LLC because they were rated highly in both the Washington Checkbook (check for price and quality) and on Angie's List ... also because they answered the phone when we called. It wasn't an emergency, but they were able to come out the next morning ? picked up the carbon monoxide/fire/smoke detector on the way, and showed up right on time even though it had started snowing. The electrician was polite and thorough, and worked quickly to complete installation of all 3 components within 1 hour. We received the Angie's List discount, would highly recommend Staples Electric, and will definitely use them again for our electrical needs.

Great experience. Handyman had mis-wired junction box where a celling light was located. No light In bedroom. Previous electrical company could not figure it out. Roberto with Staples had it figured out and correctly wired in no time. Very professional.

I used Staples Electric to assess and fix two electrical problems in one of my houses. I couldn't find the root cause of a hot water heater shutting down repeatedly, but I thought it might be electrical. The technician came out and diagnosed the problem immediately and fixed it in no time. I also had outlets in another part of the house that stopped working intermittently, and I couldn't figure out why just by looking at the two outlets in question. It turned out that there was another outlet in series with the first two, farther up the chain that was faulty. The technician quicktly found that problem as well and replaced the outlet so that everything started working again. Overall, great work by Staples. I will definitely use them again.

Craig came out a few days before to look the job over and give me an estimate. He wasn't certain about how the circuits were wired and what level of effort would be required since he couldn't tell about what it would be like until after they started pulling things apart a little. He did warn me that they would probably have to cut some holes in the sheet rock but said he would repair the damage (but not the paint). He offered a couple of options depending on what they found. I felt I always new what alternatives would be available. His team showed up on time at around 9 and reviewed what we had agreed to earlier. They began working right away and, except for lunch, worked solidly and steadily until they finished, late in the afternoon. They traced the circuit and were somehow able to isolate two of the rooms and put them on separate circuits. Because the panel had a couple of doubled up breakers installed by another contractor, Staples corrected that and had to put in a sub panel to accommodate all the new circuits. Two holes in the ceiling sheetrock had to be cut in order to run the wires. They carefully covered everything in plastic to do the cutting and rewired the bedrooms. They also replaced some very old wiring in the garage and ran a new circuit out there and to the outside lights. The sheetrock was put back and looks great--even without the paint (we'll get to that in a later project). Everything works great, we aren't having the problems we had before. The folks working were professional, obviously knew what they were doing, and were extraordinarily careful while doing their work so as not to damage any of our stuff. Well done and a big thanks!!

After original appointment snafu, Staples team arrived at appointed times and did required services with competency. My wife was impressed with the care they took to minimize dust/mess. We will use this company again when we need additional electrical work.

The old electric baseboard heater quit. I purchased a new one and a thermostat. Hired Staples to do the replacement. Within an hour of arrival, the new heater and thermostat were installed. I then mentioned an old outlet that has been giving me trouble. The electrician just looked at it & it starting behaving! Actually he tightened it up in a matter of seconds. Both the heater and the outlet are working fine. All service experiences should be this easy! The only issue, hardly worth mentioning, is that credit cards are not accepted.

One of the things that they did that I thought was great was they installed three LED flood lights in an area that is difficult to reach; the LED flood lights are incredibly bright, brighter than I would've thought. They'll also last about 20 years, so there won't be a need to change them for awhile. The employees were great, cleaned up after themselves, and did a wonderful job. Everthing works exactly as planned and I'm writing an article in a community newsletter recommending this company!

I contacted Staples Electric based on prior reviews on Angie's List. After explaining my problem with my GFI outlet, someone from the company was able to come out quickly to repair it. In addition to repairing the GFI outlet, the electrician looked at another outlet that I had a problem with and quickly fixed both outlets. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.
