He did a great job with all of the tasks we set before him. The caulking looks great, and I have high hopes it will last and prevent the leaks we had been seeing. He found another possible issue while he was investigating the shower leak, and may have resolved it. He repaired all the electrical items he could do properly, and helped our electrician when the job got too complex. Calling for the expert in that case was absolutely warranted, as the electrician found that the original installation had been horribly botched. Overall, Sam did a great job, and we will absolutely use him again. His rates are more than fair, he gave us suggestions but listened to our preferences, called me whenever he needed a decision made, and really could not have been more pleasant to work with.

I had an on-going battle with a squeaky sub-floor which I really wanted to fix before installing my bamboo floors. It took me 2 nights and consecutive screwing and removal of all screws and re-screwing the floor to figure that the problem lies underneath the subfloor. Scheduling a time with Sam was a breeze. He was on time, veryknowledgeable, and willing to teach me all about floors in general. He was uncertain about the type of floor joist my house has (they type with all truss structures rather than the simple joist) but he was committed in making it work. I would have stayed and learn from him, but unfortunately I have a couple of important meetings i had to attend. I asked Sam to take some pictures for me so that I can understand and learn from the experience, and he obliged and I got many good pictures, complete with an explanation for most of them. A couple of hours later, he fixed the issue. When I went home the next day, the floor were NOT SQUEAKING! And to add on to that, Sam also went around the new board and personally drove in the screw heads so that I would have a easier time installing my hardwood floor. The areawas clean, and the leftover piece of subfloor was left neatly stacked in our garage. Overall, he is very knowledgeable, willing to share, and very professional. Very easy-going guy. Definitely a good find and I would use his services again.

Sam Axton has done many handyman jobs for me in the past and each time he arrives on time and works steadily through the day. He is always professional and his work is excellent. He is cautious when bringing in his tools and always cleans up after the jobs. I would not hesitate to recommend Sam to others.

Sam Axton was referred to me by another highly rated Angie's list Handman service that was unable to get me on their schedule prior to our son's wedding. Fortunately, Sam accommodated our last minute request due to our son's upcoming wedding and was able to squeeze us into his schedule. Our guest bathroom had undergone a semi-renovation and I needed someone to come in and put things back together - faucet, towel bars, lighting fixture, etc. Sam was prompt, extremely personable and easy to talk to. He understood when I told him I was very picky. He discussed placement of certain items with me before the work was done to ensure that he and I were both on the same page. I would highly recommend Sam Axton and certainly plan to use him again. This was our first experience using a handyman service and I can tell you it won't be our last. My husband and I both work and realize that there are only so many hours in a day and sometimes you just need to call in help. I'd also like to say that upon entering our home, Sam noticed that our hardwood floors were slightly cupped - something that we had not noticed. He highly recommended we install a dehumidifier in our basement which would correct the problem and we immediately took action on that recommendation.

Mr. Axton's work was done with extreme care and precision, . He did an immaculate job of cleaning up after his work. H was most helpful in moving furniture . His attention to detail is best evidenced by the fact that when he was all finished, had loaded up his truck and been paid, he was crawling along the floor cheking to see that there was no residue of glue on the boards.

All Sam's work has been first rate in quality, completed in a timely manner, and reasonably priced. He is the first person I call for any home repair or remodeling job.

Overall, it was a great value for what we needed to get done. I highly recommend his handyman services, and I plan on contacting him again in the future for additional projects.

Sam Axton, the owner of Axton Floors and Handyman Services, arrived on-time, and the worksite was ready to go as he had provided written instructions on how best to prepare for the services he was delivering. This helped both of us maximize our time, and frankly allowed for my wife to trust me to manage the installation on my own! Sam's eye for detail and relentless drive for quality are the sole reasons for why our new floors have turned out great. We have an older house, and during installation, Sam adjusted the subfloor to prevent continued squeaking - an approach I didn't know was feasible to abate an annoyance. Sam is incredibly honest and reasonable. I have had a lot of experience with using general contractors/handymen and I can safely say that I will always look to Sam first to help me with my next home improvement project!
