Badly. Missed at least half of the scheduled pick ups, but was beyond prompt in collecting....even after they were fired.

Republic missed the recycling pickup numerous times over the last year. There is no way to contact someone who can get them to make the pickup. Their we site is unable to schedule a pickup or report a missed pickup. There are recycle bins all over the neighborhood full of waste and waiting more than 24 hours for pickup. If Republic wants to change the service date, that's fine - but JUST TELL US when you're going to miss your schedule! Terrible service and terrible customer service.

I have been a loyal customer since 1985. I realized I was being double billed for 4 quarters while enrolled in autopay. When I called they said I was being billed at my old rate of $90. And the new rate I requested of $72.50. It took almost a year for them to stop the double billing at two different rates in one bill. I was told my overpayment was $363 which I agreed to after doing the math. Now "Division said my overpayment was only $272.00?? And they have refunded my money. When I do the math I figure my overpayment is now $96.00 which they still owe me. Then comes the agreed upon rate. I was told it should be $72.50 for one to two years, then told everyone in my area (Burke) should be $73.50. And most recently told its being increased to $78.50. This company does not appreciate loyal customers, stay away!!! I am going to switch to American.

Pick up of my garbage was fine, but when we moved and tried to return the recycling can, they didn't show up the first time, then rescheduled without letting us know and then tried to charge us for the can. When we rescheduled to have it picked up again, they again rescheduled without letting us know so now we have to drive back out on Memorial day to put the can out so they can pick it up on Tuesday. Their customer service is like their business...garbage.

The service execution was fine. However, Republic never informed me that they had a special price for our neighborhood and charged me a much higher rate than they did others. They refused to make any retroactive adjustments so I terminated the service. After 2 months they haven't yet refunded the unused amount remaining on my quarterly payment. Multiple calls to Republic have produced no results. This could have been resolved quickly and simply. Instead, Republic chose to make the situation needlessly difficult.

If you are one of the unlucky victims of having to deal with this company I would recommend running as fast as you can to look for other services. Not only do they change service agreements in the middle of the billing cycle they fail to pick up trash and recycle on a regular basis and fail to follow up. When they do pickup they leave empty cans in the middle of the driveway, in flower beds or worse in the road. Calls to customer service are a waste of time as nothing they promise is ever carried out. The worst part is if they owe you money for any reason they hold it instead of refunding as they promise to do. This is the worse trash removable company by far in the last 30 years that I have had service with. Look at all the BBB complaints!

We called our previous waste disposal company the "Trash Deposit Company" because their employees were hurried and sloppy, leaving behind an inexcusable amount of trash in the streets. When a Republic representative came to the door and offered a comparable schedule at one-third the price, we were a bit wary. No longer! This company picks up ALL the trash -- no little parting gifts. They do so much more effectively, predictably, and quietly than other local firms. When the weather -- like the recent two-foot snowstorm -- prevents their regular service, they have an automated call system to advise customers when they will pick up. We would encourage anyone looking for new or replacement service to contact Republic.

Basic services that they provide, nothing extra ordinary and need improvement.

I called to inquire about cost of services and was sent an agreement to review and sign back within 2 weeks. I never sent back as I decided to go with another company. When I moved in, AAA cans sat in front of my house for a week. I called to see why they hadn't picked up the old owners cans. They said it was for my account! I explained I never set up an account. They said I did, the agreement was just for the discount for a 2 year agreement. They said they would backdate the cancelation and if owe nothing. I just got a bill for $25.89 for trash can removal and reconditioning. I never used these cans. Do yourself a favor and look up their score on BBB.org. Then compare to American Trash Removal. They are so much better and we have been happy with their service so far; it's worth paying a few extra dollars a month for a better overall service experience.

They are supposed to come twice per week for trash/garbage and once a week for recycling. Lately there have been two weeks where they did not come at all. Once I called three days in a row and was told each time that a truck would come right out to get the trash. Nobody ever came. One person I called agreed to give us a discount for one of the missed weeks. We were told to simply pay one week's worth less on the next quarterly bill. When we short-paid the next bill by $13.22 (one-week's worth), they stopped service because we short-paid! We called, and the person in billing denied our being given credit! She finally agreed to a partial credit, but would not allow service to continue until we paid them the lousy $3.66 difference. Even then, when we gave a credit card for payment, we had to wait until the following week for service to resume. So now we have had a total of three weeks in the last quarter when we did not get service. This company also goes by the name of AAA Recycling and Trash Removal Services.
