Well for starters, this is the first time that we have ever had to research and replace a roof and gutters. We have hired many contractors over the years but never a roofer. Any projects that we undertake, we normally get six estimates to get a range of prices and numerous opinions and POND roofing was one of our picks. I called POND roofing to schedule an estimate and they scheduled our appointment with Shanti Smith. Shanti arrived on time and asked us some basic questions and then proceeded to inspect the roof. After he inspected the roof he said he wanted to get in the attic and take a look. He walked through the attic and checked things out and said ventilation etc. looked good. He did fine one issue where the tubing from one of our bathroom vents had blown off. He took it upon himself to reattach the tubing properly without any hesitation. Shanti was the only estimator that came to our home that actually got up in the attic and looked around, none of the other contractors did, this was very positive for us. Shanti then went through the whole process explaining to us how Pond works, what are different roofing options were etc. He made shingle, gutter warranty color suggestions. Shanti spent a lot of time with us answering our checklist of questions. Over the next several weeks I contacted Shanti with additional questions and he was always available to answer them. Out of the six estimates we received, POND Roofing was right in the middle price wise. From start to finish we had a very great experience with Pond Roofing. Kudo’s to Mike who does all of the scheduling, he was in constant contact with us throughout the whole process, Bernado and his crew arrived on time, they were very nice and neat and did a wonderful job, the roof looks great. Ben and his assistance did a wonderful job as well on the gutters and were a pleasure to work with. One thing that impressed me was that when they were installing/aligning the gutters, they would pour buckets of water into them to make sure they were hanging in the correct position and flowing properly. Based on Angie's ranking, I invited Pond Roofing to a site visit/cost estimate for the roof and gutter replacement work on my house. Shanti came to my house as scheduled and provided me many useful information and technical details. He is polite, efficient, knowledgeable, very professional, and provided me his estimate on site on paper. I am impressed on how prepared he is. Unfortunately, after comparing technical and cost proposals of all three invited contractors, we did not selected Pond Roofing.

Pond Roofing was wonderful to work with. They were professional, on time, did extremely quality work, and they bent over backwards to make us happy, even when we accidentally ordered the wrong color of hardware for the front door. Both doors had leaks and the new doors completely eliminated the problems. Everything was installed perfectly and sealed extremely well. I would definitely hire them again in a second, and have recommended them on our neighborhood listserve. What a relief to find a great company that provides great service, and are professional and communicative.

Terrific, Pond was concise, professional and easy to work with. Out of the several bids that we got, they were the only ones who weren't your typical "window salesmen" trying to sell gimmicky things a modern window does that are standard to everyone these days (dual panes, argon gas, etc) AND they also were the only ones who didn't have a low quality/cheap window provider (Alside, Sunrise Essentials, etc). Everyone should take time to get on the internet and understand how certain brands match up regarding quality control. A large majority of window providers offer the cheapest quality and try and up-speak the little things that all windows have. In our case Pond was actually the highest bid, but only by a fraction and it was well worth knowing they only offered a window model that stood up to quality standards for longevity. The process from quote (they wrote it up in their van in 10 min), the scheduling, ordering timeline, final measurements and install went flawless and exactly as promised. The final install took maybe 10 hours over two days for 18 windows with only a crew of two working around a massive people loving dog and two very curious small children. They quickly kept all areas clean and worked extremely efficiently. Only 1 minor issue arose which one window screen was slightly damaged in transit and they quickly re-screened it onsite in a matter of minutes on day 1. We would recommend and hire them again in a second. Here was the final timeline of events: March 13 - signed contract and 30% deposit received March 19 - installer came for measurements (very conveniently for us on a Sunday) April 21 - windows ready for install and date set (estimated 6 wks, beat that by almost 2 wks) May 2/3 - windows fully installed, a much improved home and a very happy customer

I can't say enough good things about Pond Roofing. After receiving a quote from Tony, which I found very reasonable, he let me know that the scheduling for repair was 2-3 weeks out which at the time was not an issue. Then the rains came. And with the heaviest of rain, a sizable leak into my house on a Saturday. I called Pond on Monday to see if they could put a temporary tarp over the damaged area within the next 24 hours because a lot more rain was expected later that week. Instead, they sent a team over that day to fix my room permanently. I was not expecting to "jump" the line, but they went above and beyond to ensure no further damage was done to my house. I'm very satisfied and grateful for their customer service. Thank you, Pond Roofing.

Pond said that the deal I bought on Angie's List was for a whole house repair and not for my job. However they gave me a discount worth the price of the Angie's deal so I didn't lose money on it. The estimator was on time and gave me options to consider. The contract was thorough and easy to deal with electronically. The installation team was on time and worked for 4 hours straight. They did a great job and left everything very clean - including blowing maple seeds off the entire roof. The only reason I didn't give them an A grade was that the shingles they put in around the new skylight are a lighter color than the shingles on the rest of the roof. But I'll have to re-roof in a few years and the new skylight is in a place most people won't see the off-color shingles so I can live with it.

Original job was straight A's. Today, Mr. Minh checked out suspect area thoroughly on a ladder. He took pictures and explained why I might have thought there was a leak when there actually was not. They are an excellent company and I would not hesitate to use again.

The job was done in a day. There was more wood that needed to be replaced than anticipated, so the job was more than estimated, but they made it clear in advance that this might be the case. It took a long time for the job to be scheduled, but it was within the window. They did a pretty good job of cleaning up the old roofing and nails, although I picked up a dozen or so in the driveway before I moved my car back. A few weeks after the job I noticed that there was a row of shingles that appeared to be sticking up. Pond sent someone out right away to check it out, but it turned out to be a new vent they had put in. I appreciated the fast response.

The sales rep was knowledgeable. The work was completed in two days and the crew cleaned up afterwards. I have no hesitation in recommending Ponds Roofing.

Excellent service and total professionalism! Easy to work with and they kept me totally informed. Shanti Smith is a joy to work with! The new Light Tunnel has transformed the darkest room in the house into a bright, welcoming room. After the HVAC company installed the new vent, there was a tiny leak where the vent pipe went up through the new roof. Pond came out and fixed it within 48 hours. The tech was great and showed me before and after pictures on his cell phone. Outstanding company!

They showed up on time and were very "professional" 6 Months after completion a small leak developed near one of the new sky lights. I called and they came the next day. Unfortunatly about a month later that same leak started again and they came right away. The cause was found and no more leaks.

Pond was terrific. They were courteous and honest; the work was done on time and on budget. Cost was less than expected and the quality of work was outstanding. One of the very best experiences I have had with any contractor. Would recommend them any time!

The crew showed up when they said they would and the job was done in one day. They cleaned up the area very well. The only complaint I had was the ridge vent cap and the blown in insulation which was already in place. Edge vents were installed to bring in air at the bottom because there was no soffet. The insulation was left against the edge vents so there was no venting able to go from bottom to top. When I pointed this out the owner and the estimater came out the next week and pulled some back from the edge vents to get a flow.It was good they followed up but it seems it would have been obvious to the crew. they do it often enough, the house has steel beams and rafters which the estimate man was aware of but the crew was not. the crew chief had to go get the right hardware. It did not turn out to be a problem but there could be better communication between the office and the crew.

They were timely, did excellent work, and the roof looks great.
